Photoshop :: Labeling All Images In A Stack When All Images Stacked?
Apr 1, 2013A long time ago, when I was using Photoshop Elelments I found a plug-in that made it possible to work with stacks as a unit.
If I labeled the top image in the stack that lable was applied to all the images in the stack; then I could sort the the image on top and all the images in the stack would stay together, or if I deleted an image in the stack all the images in the stack were deleted. Without it I have open each stack I lable and apply the lable, so when I sort the stacked images they stay together.
Photoshop :: Best Way To Stack Images?
Sep 20, 2012I'm doing macro photopgraphy and need to do a lot of focus stacking. I'm trying to determine the best way to stack images in PS, but there seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there. I've sucessfully stacked images using two different methods:
Way # 1
file -> scripts -> load files into stack
edit->auto-align layers
edit->auto-blend layers (stack images, seamless tones and colors)
Way # 2
file -> automate -> photomerge (uncheck blend images together)
edit->auto-blend layers (stack images, seamless tones and colors)
The second way produces a much better result, IMHO. Is that the best way to stack images in PS?
Photoshop :: Crash After 13.0.1 Update When Align Set Of Three Images In Stack
Sep 9, 2012During an attempt to align a set of three images in a stack, photoshop crashed with the usual (for me) ati.dll indicated in the Event Viewer. The nice thing about it is after I restarted PS the project was restored, minus the base layer, a transparent layer large enough to allow manual alignment. (Auto Align didn't work in Stacks.)
So crashing continues.
CS6 fully updated
Win 7 Ultimate.

Mar 24, 2013I used to have CS5 on my computer, after which I used the CS6 trial, and I never had any problems when stacking images using Auto-Blend Layers -> Stack Images. However, I recently purchased a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud and after uninstalling the old PS versions and installing Cloud, Photoshop freezes every time I try to stack images.
My computer has very good specs, runs Windows 7, and both the OS and PS are up to date.

GIMP :: Processing A Stack Of Images (2013)
Jul 20, 2013Problem :I have a large number of ex-camera jpegs of the pages of a book,photographed at an archive where scanning is prohibited. A camera stand wasused, with the book supported on foam wedges. Consequently, both pages ineach image are distorted - i.e. each page of a pair is a trapezium.It is, of course, a simple matter to crop and apply the perspective tool(twice) to an image to restore the pages to their flat state. Doing it forseveral hundred images is a non-starter, and anyway that's what the machineis for.
Proposed solution :
Import an image to the Gimp.
Drag and drop a number of images into the same project - as many as themachine can handle.
Link the image layers.
Crop.
Select one page and use the Perspective Tool to pull the page 'square'.Repeat for the second page.
Export each image, working down the stack.
Result :Selecting the right-hand page and correcting the perspective works, in thatthe Gimp progressively works down the layers. But, although each right-handpage is correctly 'squared up', all the left-hand pages, other than the toplayer, are enlarged and cropped.
Software used :2.6 under Debian Squeeze.
2.8.2 under Mint 14.1
2.8.6 under Windows 7
All OS 64-bit.
Lightroom :: Applying Labels To All Images In A Stack
Apr 2, 2013A long time ago, when I was using Photoshop Elements I found a plug-in that made it possible to work with stacks as a unit.
If I labeled the top image in the stack that label was applied to all the images in the stack; then when I sorted the images, the stack remained in tact; instead of just the top image, with the label showing up. I could also label the top image in a stack with flaga and, for example quickly delete all the image with an "X". Otherwise is seems the only option is to open each stack, by Ctrl-clicking the number in the upper left corner, that opens the stack; with all the images selected, then click the star labels I want to apply to all the images in the stack.

But I have read though a couple of books, and cannot find a way through PhotoShop to place different photographs on one page. I am able to do it employing Quark xPress 4.0 and picture boxes, but that seems like a clunky solution, especially for web publishing.

Oct 19, 2004I am making a flyer for my customer, in Page Maker. They are a florist, and I have edited the images from FTD etc to their standards.
I have run into a problem though. I have traditionally put FTD's logo directly on the images while I am editing them. A request was made, that all logo's would be the same size. In order to do this, I need to have the logo as a separate image with an opaque back ground in Page Maker.
I have been unable to paste in any images (.tif) with opaque back grounds. This is probably due to the fact that our printer has us use CMYK. Yet, photoshop can handle CMYK with opaque back grounds just fine, why cant Page Maker?

Jul 8, 2004I am creating some .jpg buttons in photoshop. At first, I could create a button and then do an <img src="location"> and the image would show up. But for some reason, now when I create a button and save it as a jpeg, and then do the <img src="location"> the image won't display. And I am positive it is looking in the right place for the image.
What I have to do is save the button as a .jpg and then copy that .jpg image and paste it over an old .jpg button that I have previously made that would show up. I would save it as the new button name then. After doing that then I can see the new button created.
I don't know if it is the way I am creating or saving the .jpg's that is doing this, or if I accidentially changed a setting in Photoshop.

Apr 16, 2008I have just finished putting very many weeks work into Photoshopping a scanned image and now I want to print it with multiple duplicate unaltered images per A4 sheet.
The image is 15cm x 7.3cm, so theoretically I should be able to print 4 of these on an A4 page no problem. However, the solution to how to do this simply and without altering the original image at all complete alludes me. I have tried using google to find a solution and have tried the File -> Automate -> Picture Package option, but besides being overly complicated this also seems to alter the dimensions of your original image. I have also heard about a "long way" of doing things, which involves creating a new A4 sized image and duplicating your image manually 4 times on this page sized image - however I am also quite stumped as to how I should do this without losing any detail of the original image.

I have tried picture package and just print, neither works. IPhoto makes this very simple but I'd prefer to use Photoshop where I edit most of my photos. print different images on one page and different sizes if possible.

Mar 15, 2011I would like to print multiple images on a single sheet other than those available on the sidebar of the print dialogue box.
I searched: "when you hit the print button-the wizard will come up- there is a "printing preferences" button- when you go there you can set the "pages" per sheet to 16- this will give you 16 copies of the picture on each sheet". The options I have available are 1, 2, 4, 9, 16 but I'd like 6 & 15 or possibley some other configuration. The second suggestion was to paste multiple images onto the page, is there a way to do that so the images line up in a regular grid such as might be done with cells in a word processing program?

When using the variable data print feature, the images seen in the print preview look correct, but when the page is printed the same data is output in all 4 images. This does not happen every time. I'm working on a digital room setting, and I have part of the room in 3d and part in 2d. So, for example, the walls, ceiling, floor, table, chairs and corner hutch are 3d, but the regular hutch and buffet server are in 2d.
- The table and chairs need to be in the foreground
- The regular hutch and server are behind the table and chairs
- The corner hutch needs to be behind all other pieces of furniture
So, you may be catching on by now to my little dilemna... I want all the 3D items to have the same lighting and reflect off one another, however, I need the 2d layers to somehow fit "inbetween" the 3d objects. The simple question is, how can this be done? Is there a way to mask the foreground 3D objects so that they appear to be in from of the 2D objects? My only current solution is this:
- Move the whole 3D layer (the scene layer) all the way to the back
- Make the final decision on the position of the table and chairs
- Hide all other meshes in the scene besides the table and chairs
- Render, so the edges are clean
- Load the newly rendered 3D layer as a selection (which loads the table and chairs only)
- Either create a new layer from the selection of the rendered 3D layer, or mask the 3D layer so that the table and chairs appear to be in the foreground
The method above means I can no longer edit/reposition/scale the 3D at all.
Photoshop :: Load Files Into Stack
Sep 22, 2013I make GIFs as a hobby. But what happen was that 3 days ago, I opened my Photoshop CS5.1 Extended version 12.1 (x64) and did the usual thing.
I went to Scripts and to Load Files into Stacks. I loaded my files and pressed OK. So here's the funny part, usually, the pictures will load by itself and eveyrthing will be in order. But what happen was that the layers load to around 6 to 7 layers and everything just disappear. Literally disappear. Like I didn't even load anything. No canvas, no images, nothing. I thought it was a bug or something so I reinstalled my CS5 but the problem remains.
So I try with my CS6 Extended version 13.0 x64. (That I barely use because I'm still more comfortable with CS5.) And the same thing happens.
I decided to Google it and nothing comes up. I do not know whether is it my laptop or something went wrong somewhere. This has never happen before for the amount of time I have CS5.
I even change my scratch disc space. Last time it was on (C) with around 20GB space and nothing happens. So I changed it to my D drive and it has atleast 150GB space. I even tried closing every applications I have to test whether is it something related to my ram. But nothing happens. The problem remains.
Here's my system information:

I wanted to know if there is a way to let photoshop put them on top of each other like it would do when creating a HDR, just without actually creating the HDR but do the "deghosting" and ideally also a geometric correction?
