View 6 RepliesIn making an ebook from scans, I need to do a double page scan, then split the image into two images, one for each page. I've had no problem with the splitting into right and left sides of the photo, but the output numbers MUST be such that a left image might have name of image0001 and the left side 0002. In other words, the left numbers must be odd consecutive numbers, 1, 3, 5... and the right numbers must be even consecutive numbers 2, 4, 6... - this I've been unable to do with the automate batch options. Is there any way to do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf you draw a line, you would expect the line to be one continuous line right? As in, all one colour. I'm just wondering if anyone know's why When i do that, it ends up splitting into seperate colours, as if its trying to blur out the line? Ive given an example in the link below?

For example, I want to split a pic into 4 parts and then enlarge each section to 8x10 and frame them separately to create a large version. I am using CS2.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a JPG file with 6 images and I'd like to split it and save each image as a separate JPG. I've tried using the slice tool but then I can't find how to save those images in more than 72 dpi (the original resolution is 300).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an image that's 800x16. Basically it's a horizontal strip of 16x16 tiles. I would like to chop the image up so that I have 50, 16x16 image files. Any suggestion on how to do this automatically?
I've tried recording a Photoshop Action... but I run into a problem when I have to make my selection box over by 16 pixels to process the next tile.
There's a couple of image-splitting applications I've found on the internet, and they are all buggy and crash, and they are tailored towards HTML output... which I don't need. I need more image options.
I have a selection and want to split it into 3 equal parts is there a photoshop technique I can use to do it automatically?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 3D model of a boat, created in a program called DelftShip and exported as a .obj file, that i would like to render using Photoshop CS6. However, the .obj file does not include layers, so i get the whole model as one layer in PS. So the whole model is on one layer and all colored grey. This makes it very difficult to color/texture/render different parts of the model in different ways. Say for example that i want a blue hull with reflection, and a matt white superstructure, this will be almost impossible to do with only one layer.
Is there any way to split the model into layers, so i can work on it more easily, how i might approach this?
Whilst after a discussion yesterday Adobe know of and are dealing with an error when splitting video clips in PS CC ( I have a temporary fix). I have also come across another potential issue in splitting video clips - it appears that an individual clip can only be split twice. What is the theoretical number of times PS CC will allow a clip to be split?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there was a way to separate an image into its individual colors by layers? all reds in one layer, blues in another, greens in another and that sort of thing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI wanted to split a clip, but I've split a project (after 4 minutes). Now, when I want to insert an audio file, it stops playing after 4 minutes although it's much longer. Every new project is also split and I cannot insert music. It stops playing after 4 minutes. I have found the explanations about splitting the clip, but nothing about the splitting the whole project. How can I make my new projects "entire" and insert the full-lenght audio?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to split an avi file in the timeline. I split the clip at the required entry point (using the scissors). The 1st part is then marked with a yellow bar. As soon as I move the slider along to get to part where I want to split the clip again (the exit point) - the clip goes black and I can't see it. I if I click on "clip" the clip reappears - but if I click on "project" the section I am trying to cut out goes black again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI decided to make the jump from X3 to X5 ultimate to give Corel a try again, actually the deciding factor for me was the included mercalli stabilization as it seems to be pretty good.
Anyway, I created about a 10 minute movie from a few videos, which is divided into many clips. Now I want to disable the audio from the video track and add a sound track. I found a nice sound track with the included auto music, but I can't figure out a way to mute the entire audio track from the video so I only hear the added music. I can only see how to do it one clip at a time. Is there a way to do all the clips at once?
I guess in hindsight I should have muted the audio from the video before splitting them into clips, but I've been used to using Vegas which allows you to mute the audio from the entire video track and thought I could do it later with X5.
Am I stuck with doing one clip at a time? Or do I have to save the movie then bring it in as one large clip then mute the audio from the video so I can replace it with a music track? the mercalli seems to work pretty good - which version it is they bundle with X5?
I have an inventor part with the name “0955-P05”. To break it down the Job # is 0955 and the Mark # is P05
The code below will automatically take whatever the file name and split it to fill in the Job # and Mark #
'MarkNumber and Job Information
'Filename Convert
Part_Number = iProperties.Value("Project", "Part Number")
iProperties.Value("Custom", "Job" ) = "=" & Left(Part_Number,4)
iProperties.Value("Custom", "MarkNumber") = "=" & Right(Part_Number,3)
The code works great in till my Mark # reaches P99
I know what you’re thinking but I can’t change the Mark #s to P001 and fix the code that way. The whole company is already set up with this Mark # system and they will not change it.
My main catalog (LR4.3) has grown quite big containing about 122000 pictures, mostly RAW and the lrcat -file is 2.24Gb. In the beginning of this year I decided to start a new catalog, year 2013, a "working catalog" and when this year's works are done, I'll merge it to the main catalog and start a new catalog for year 2014, and so on.
It's just that I'm a little concerned about how well LR behaves in this kind of fusion. I mean all metadata transfer, especially the keywords.
The reason for this operation was that the big catalog is quite slow to use. This new and this far tiny catalog though behaves almost lightning fast.
And also displaying weird. I believe it's a preference setting but I'm not sure what.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have done some interviews using a Nikon D90 (only thing at hand; build in microphone and bad audio). Now I need to clean the sound and focus on human voice – and hope the Audio Filter in VS will do the job.
If I split audio to apply filters, can I then continue to edit my project just as before – or will I break things when adding new clips, photos, titles etc.?
I have just upgraded to W7 and a new computer and now find that when I drag in directly from a folder or open from within X4 the images that are saved as PSD file (originally created in Photo Shop by a friend for me), opens all layers individually rather than one image with all the layers contained to edit. Before the update to W7 I had Vista and the image went in to X4 as expected, contained as one image with editable layers.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a very unusual problem and I can't work it out. I have 1920x1080 clips in AVCHD format taken from my Full HD Digital movie Camera. It's a cheapy - Kogan! When I place all the clips together in Studio Pro 4 and render the video outpout or even preview in the clip window I get the frames splitting above and below the frame. The clips play fine in all players and as you can see in the second attachment is the Pro preview player compared to Media classic which renders the clip correctly.
You can see the top and bottom of the frame is duplicated on every transition or start of next clip
I have a multi page document that has twice the size I originally I thought it would so have decided to split it. What is the best way to do this?
I can only think of copy and paste each individual page into a new doc but if there is another way to chose multi pages by the tabs at the bottom.
i'm new to this, is there a way to split a paragraph text per line but will still be an editable text?
I have to select each line, cut. then paste each for me to do it, is there an easier way to do this?
I am creating three shapes out of a pyramid. I figure if I split the pyramid in half, I can create two, then mirror them and blend the two together to make the final design. I have figured out how to create a pyramid by extruding a cube with a taper.
My pyramid is 40mm x 40mm x 40mm. I need to cut it in half, diagonally, top to bottom.
When I have the pyramid in the workspace, I see nothing that I can select - that will allow me to create lines where I need to - to cut them out.
I'll add a logo in 3-d that I am trying to create. (also, I am using this project to familiarize myself with the software.)
When splitting a schedule, the title of the schedule shows up above each of the columns created. Is there a way of having it so that when you slit a schedule in multiple columns, the title centeres over the entire view and shows itself only once instead of once over each column?

View 3 Replies View RelatedBasically we are trying to make a 3D plate (in this case a 2" thick piece of steel) and have a 3D hollow shape inside. Its split into Top and bottom, as shown as the below picture.
top View (plate 1).jpg
I have tried the loft command (which I just learned off within the past hour or so) and it indeed works. But I wish to use its as the opposite, where the middle is hollow and the rest is a solid object.

I have tried the loft command (which I just learned off within the past hour or so) and it indeed works. But for the life of me does not know how to get it as one big object with the middle shape hollow. Am i missing a step or is it another command completely?
Also, once the object has been created, I want to split the object on its X axis mulitple times, almost like an exploded view. Each split will have its own set of top and bottom orifices which will represent multiple plates.
Is there a way to do that? Also is there a way to gain and separate the top and bottoms of these newly split plates?
Here is the drawing file as well to work on -> 3D-MK1.dwg
I need to split a square in half - so I have 2 triangles but so they are still aligned as a square.
I need to be able to change the colour of each half independently.
I am just curious if it is possible to take say a 100 page .cdr file and split it up into perhaps five 20 page .cdr files in a more or less automatic manner.
Sure, I can copy/paste the pages individually, but if this is possible it can save valuable time, energy and maybe even my sanity (if that is even possible).
What I'm doing is preparing a model for FEA, and I want to split some faces for where the nuts meet a surface. So far I've only been able to do this by repeatedly making a sketch and then splitting around each hole. Is it possible to do several splits from one drawing or to pattern the split? (I've attempted both, but failed hard).
Splitting a surface 5 times is slow, but essentially fine. Doing it this way when I have more bolt holes though is a chore.
Is there a way to use the Split Solid tool to partially split a circle and have multiple solids after.
Ex) I would like to cut the tank at the 180 and 270 deg marks. Using the split tool still cuts through 0 and 90. I tried drawing a line from a top view that started from center going through 180, but it still goes through 0 as well.
I've attached an example shell of where I would like to have 6 solids after.
