I am having the problem that my saved workspace changes whenever I open Photoshop. I arranged everything as I need it to work and saved this workspace. As soon as I open PS again the basic structure is kept but the sizes of the windows change and therefore not everything is visible.This shows my saved workspace.
View 5 RepliesI saved a photo book and while I was working on it it got closed by accident. Now I cannot open it back up into the photobook program I was working on it in. I can find the "photobook" in my saved files and when I open it, it separates each page as a file so I have to open each page separately and work on them instead of having the whole book to look at and then I can flip through the pages of the photobook and decide which page to put my photo on. I have typed this into all the help systems but nothing comes up.

The only option I have is to re-create the whole individual workspace time and time again, whenever it gets lost. This is something I have noticed with all photoshop versions I have worked with, and I am now on CS6. How to re-load a saved workspace manually?

It would be great if the color schemes could be assigned keyboard shortcut to toggle between themes, or if they could be saved in a Workspace.
Im having some color discrepancies in ps cs2. The colors that i see on my workspace(psd) are different from the colors that appear when i save the image. Check the screen grab for an example. This effect is way more pronounced on my screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a workspace saved as Default.PSPWorkspace. Every time I start PSPX4 I have to select File > WorkSpace > Default.PSPWorkspace so that all the settings for Palettes and Toolbars are as I need them.
Is there any way to set a saved workspace to actually serve as the default without having to select it every time PSPX4 starts?

Kept getting a nag screen that updates were available for Autodesk 360.
I logged in and updated it. The update required a restart of LT. When it restarted my saved workspace was gone, replaced by the AutoCAD LT Classic.
When I click the down arrows beside the Workspace Control box my saved one isn't listed.
Where did the saved one go? What's going on here? Why are updates messing stuff up?
Why aren't multiple effect controls windows saved with a workspace?
I have many projects where I use a null as a controller with many sliders etc to control the animation of many layers. I open a couple of effect control windows and lock them with the contents of the controllers in them. Works great UNTIL I switch to a new workspace - even if it's based on the original and was saved with the effect control windows open in it. At that point, all effect control windows are removed.
I have to then re-open, position and select layer, lock etc - takes ages.
Why aren't the effect control woindows saved, even if they're empty, it would work as you'd expect it to.
I just downloaded 2013 Autocad for MAC and I can't manage to see my drawing toolbars and also don't know where to find workspace settings to change my workspace to autocad classic.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem and I am not sure what's the cause but I think that it is related to gamut. I recently noticed that some colors started to show as black instead of their original color. for example if I open a new document and set it's background to #00ce57 I see it in black instead of neon green.
when changing the color mode to 32 bit I see the correct color and also when I am turning on gamut warning all the black color turns into gray.

why an action that was working perfectly has suddenly started screwing up, royally?It's an action I bought on a digital scrapbooking site. Never could get it to work in PSE but was delighted that it was working in PS. Today, though, it just began malfunctioning. I have my doubts as to how reliable some of these actions are from these digiscrapping people.
Could I have accidentally done something to mess it up? I haven't done anything lately except download some patterns and brushes from a very reliable source.I doubt I even have the zip files anymore. I had pretty much given up on this action working...until I bought CS5.5 and voila!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to customise my drawing templates to keep them up to date and also include accountability.I seem to be having trouble in including the name of the person who has last saved the model, and the date the model was last saved.
Manually including this information isn't ideal as people will forget, and it makes it harder to trace revisions.I can't see anywhere on the iProperties where the 'Last saved by' feature is available, but I thought maybe the information could be pulled from the username from the application options?
The last saved date should be easy, as there is a modified date in the model's iproperties; however, I cannot pull this information.I have used other cad packages in the past and this was never an issue. With all the customisation of Inventor, I thought this would be relatively straight forward.
I have a capstone lab project due tomorrow for my graphic arts class and I made a HUGE mistake!!! I created an image using 20 something layers and did SAVE AS as a .xcf image (with all layers open). Part of the project was to save in different formats: .xcf (with open layers), a .png, and a .jpeg (optimized). So, I did the first save and then flattened the image to SAVE AS a .png with a different file name.
Long story short, I was tired and had way too many images open at once. When I was closing all of the images I accidentally saved the changes (flatten image) to my original .xcf (with open layers)!!!! Now, my .xcf that is supposed to have open layers only has one layer...the finished project!! I tried going to the file properties to restore a previous version, but it says that no previous versions were found! I also downloaded a norton "unerase" utility, but maybe I am not scanning properly to locate the file!?!
When a raw file badge shows that the file has been changed, I use Metadata Save to File & for the large majority of my images, the badge goes away and Metadata Status Changed does not show the file. For some of my files, however, the Save to File command doesn't work properly. If I am only displaying files with changes, the file briefly disappears, then returns. Even if I go to Windows Explorer and delete the xmp file, then again Save metadata to file, it pops up again with the badge saying it needs to be saved. I'm using Lightroom 4.3 64 bit on Windows 7.
View 12 Replies View RelatedCS5 has suddenly started opening files with the default magnification of 0.12%. This means images appear as tiny specks of dust in a very small window and typing 'cmd-0' has no effect. Typing 'cmd-1' does enlarge the image to actual pixels but the window stays postage stamp size and has to be manually dragged larger. Typing 'cmd-0' again at this stage returns us to 0.12%.
Resetting the zoom tool or anything else I can think of has no effect.
I've used the Fill>Pattern to tile my seamless patterns tons of times and never had this issue. Suddenly , it started making each tile on the large canvas a different color when I apply Fill>Pattern. At first I thought it was a tip or guide to see the repeat edges , but it shows up in print preview too. What did I do and how do I correct it?

Is it too late? Is there anyway to change the resolution now?
Considering just copying and pasting all the layers into a new xcf.... it's mostly text boxes, will the old resolution affect this process?
when i start up Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture 2010 or 2011 (I tried both versions) I get the error message:acad.exe - Application error
The application could not be started correctly (0xc0150002)I searched the internet without any luck, many people have this problem with other programs, but nobody has a solution!
The funny thing is, it worked (2010) then suddenly it stopped working... I uninstalled and reinstalled 2010, didn't work, then I thought lets try the newest version, exactly the same error! Other programs work properly, also other Autodesk programs like Inventor 2008.
