I just installed Photoshop cs6 32 bit and 64 bit. When I click on a photo thumbnail it opens in the 64 bit version. I want to have it open in the 32 bit version. Can I do this?
View 2 RepliesI just downloaded photoshop CS6 and I went to import video frames to layers but it says I need to use the 32 bit version. I had the same thing happen to me when I had CS5 so I looked up how to switch it and found out that I just had to right click on the photoshop app, click "Get Info", tick a box that says "32bit" and reopen the app. Well, I tried that with Photoshop CS6 but there is no option for 32 bit and now I don't know what to do.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm using Maya 2013 SP2 on a MacBook Pro running 19.8.2. When trying to load 32-bit floating point OpenEXR or Tiff files for displacement maps I will invariably get the following error:
// Warning: Failed to open texture file: <file path>
The proper OpenEXRLoader and tiffFloatReader bundles are loaded in the Plug-in Manager and the very same files open without issue on Maya 2013 on my Win7 machine. It seems this is OSX specific.

For some reason i cannot figure out how to see my open files as thumbs when editing in elements 12. I am sure it is something i am overlooking.

However, since yesterday, when I use the File/Open command in Edit to get a new picture, I no longer see thumbnails, just a graphic of an orange flower. The pictures (mainly JPEG with some RAW/NEF) still open fine and if I single click one of the orange flowers I get a preview at the bottom of the Open screen. However, this is far from convenient. FYI, I usually work set to "large icons" but I've tried all the different size settings.
FYI, I've recently bought a new computer with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and reinstalled PSE10. However, all was working fine immediately after the change of computer and the lack of thumbnails has only just started.
Can I open folder with thumbnails instead of list, etc.?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have resized my stock files to 640x433, 72dpi, JPEG, for cataloging to Extensis Portfolio 7 and CDRs. These images are in numbers folders, according to subjects. The problem is when I initially open an image it asks for the color profile. I want it Adobe 1998 RGB, the same as my master TIFF files.
How can I just do this process by the folder for all images within it.?
Do I have to, for example, open all 2000 files, assign the profile and then save individually?
Any plug-in for making thumbnails from a folder?
I often need to take a CD of images (JPEG /TIFF / PNG etc.) for a website and I need to create thumbnails of each for a web gallery.
Typically I will see between 20 and 50 images at a time and it is very laborious to manually load into photopaint, resize, save-as with a tn_ prefix etc. and I was hoping for a way to automate this.
Why would psd thumbnails all of a sudden start not showing up as thumbnails, just as psd icons?

I saw where others are having the same problem. Some are and some aren't. As long as I leave the custom made nibs loaded they display and spray correctly. If I load the default nibs or any other nibs then go back and load the custom nibs..that's when I get the black dots. I've remade my nibs several times thinking I did something wrong but that's not the problem.

There was an error code in downloading the update for CS6 ....U44MIP7...Also, in filter - render - lighting ...there is no HUD point, so the light point cannot be moved around the photo.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm taking shots of some furniture I made. I get the shot all set up and the exposure correct for what I want, then I take an 'extra' shot with a gray and a white calibration card in the scene. Now I have two identical shots except that one has the calibration cards.
My question is: how to I select the white (and gray) levels from the calibration shot and then use that data to set the white (and gray) levels in the good shot. I had done this many years ago in CS3, but I don't remember the process.
Does lightroom 4.4 have a menu selection to show where the camera was focused at the time of the shot?

I use LR4.4 for cataloging my photos and most of my editiing. Periodically I will go from LR to Photoshop CS6 (like most everyone) for additional edits. Can I open a photo in ACR directly from Photoshop CS6 (not via Bridge?)
I want to go directly from LR to ACR in Photoshop without going through bridge. It seems if I have to use Bridge, I loose the connection between LR and Photoshop.

Before upgrading to PSE 10 for Mac, I would select a photo in iPhoto, click on edit and PSE 8 would open with the selected photo. Now PSE 10 will open but, there is no photo open in PSE 10.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhile trying to troubleshoot another user's problem, I discovered that I can't open the point creation tools on my computer. I can create the points by picking the appropriate type of point I want to create under the menu, but I can' change any of the point creation tools options.
Nothing happend when I click on points->create points.on the menu.
Nothing happens when I click on points->create points on hte ribbon.
I can create points by clicking on points->create points miscellaneous->manual either the ribbon or the menus.
It's like the command to open the Create Points Tools is somehow disabled on my computer.
