There was an error code in downloading the update for CS6 ....U44MIP7...Also, in filter - render - lighting ...there is no HUD point, so the light point cannot be moved around the photo.

After finally running out of space on my computer I've shifted my photo library onto an external hard drive. I did this outside of lightroom as I did not expect there to be too many complications
There is a general folder named "Photos" and within are the sub folders for the photos. I did a simple drag and drop from my computer to the hard drive and expected Lightroom to simple show the new directory in the folder panel.
What would be the simplest way to re-access the files since moving them to the new hard drive?
I would like to easily update an xref which has moved base point. I work doing mechanical and electrical drawings and we draw our stuff with the Architect's background xref 'd in. Sometimes though, they will change the base point for no reason and all the m&e stuff is miles away. There are two things I can do, I can moved their xref they sent us to match the old location or I can move the m&e stuff to suit the new location (i normally do this because i want to use their base point which is the right thing to do, but i would have to move all the things in all the m&e drawings to suit). Is it better to update an xref that has moved base point but without all the hassle?

The photo stays within the same folder but is moved to a new location within it. This is really annoying as I have a couple thousand photos from a trip to Europe I have been going through, and after my external editor closes and I am returned to LR, I have to find the photo which has been moved to some random spot so I can put it back to where it originally was. I want to keep my photos organized by location, so it really sucks when my photos from Turkey end up with my photos from Hungary. How I can stop this???

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm taking shots of some furniture I made. I get the shot all set up and the exposure correct for what I want, then I take an 'extra' shot with a gray and a white calibration card in the scene. Now I have two identical shots except that one has the calibration cards.
My question is: how to I select the white (and gray) levels from the calibration shot and then use that data to set the white (and gray) levels in the good shot. I had done this many years ago in CS3, but I don't remember the process.
I just installed Photoshop cs6 32 bit and 64 bit. When I click on a photo thumbnail it opens in the 64 bit version. I want to have it open in the 32 bit version. Can I do this?

I thought the easiest way to do it would be creating a matrix of bulbs arranged by material ID and then design a pattern in multi sub-object materiel so I could somehow scrub through it and achieve animation effect. The material modifier allows to change ID for the whole object only and MaterialByElement shuffle ID`s in a random manner.

How do I use the standard Revit can lights in a wood joist floor with drywall applied to the bottom? If I place in a suspended ceiling, can lights light up just fine. However, if I use them in the floor space of a wood joist floor, the light itself gets covered with the floor. How can I get the light to cut the floor out so I can see the light when it is rendered?

View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically this happpens in CS6 when using the Marquee tool and moving the marquee with the arrow keys or dragging inside the marquee. Does not repeat in CS4.About the only way to make it go away is to reduce cache levels in Preferences > Performance to 1 which is a problem in itself. Refreshing the screen (toggling the Tab key) makes the ghost marks go away but they reappear when moving the marquee. Changing Tile Size does not do anything.
My graphics card is integrated,so aside from buying a new laptop,my options are limited.Maybe a Adobe employee can look at it

Today I have started getting an error message that Photoshop has moved. I only get this message if Photoshop is not running and I right-click on something and choose to Open With Photoshop.
If I launch Photoshop first and then right-click open with Photoshop everything is fine. If the Application really had moved then shouldn't Photoshop complain when I double click on it in the Finder or open it through spotlight?
I am using a Mac Pro OS X 10.5.6.
When I click on Ps on the dock a message comes up that 'Application has moved. This application has been moved from the location in which it was originally installed. Some settings need to be repaired.' I have to click Cancel and it then loads. Whilst this is no great hardship it would be nicer if it loaded direct from the dock as everything else does.
Second question, I have three hard drives in the case, one for OS, one for Photoshop and a third for Back up. I also have three external drives for triplicate back up.
CS3 is on the Photoshop HD but when I loaded CS4 upgrade I didnt notice that it automatically loaded on the OS HD and not the Photoshop HD. I would like to transfer CS4 onto the Photoshop HD, how do I do that?
CS6 using Mac OSX 10.8 (And earlier versions) won't allow me to move placed items unless I quit and re-start!

My OS is OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.4I start up CS6 from my normal location which is the CS6 icon that resides in my dock.if I select the update button, it has no effect, the application still gives me the same message each time I start up.
i'm on a Mac. upgraded from cs3 to cs6. I opened a new Photoshop file and went to do an action that I normally do with this type of file. (I have created my own action.) But Actions is no longer where it used to be — which I think was in the History area, but I'm not sure, I just go by feel. In any case, I can't find anything having to do with Actions. Where is it hiding?
