Photoshop :: Wedding Blues
Oct 1, 2004I can't fix and wondered if anyone out there could provide some pointers. I was recently married and one of the photographs of my wife and I is absolutely great (taken by a friend). The ONLY problem is that at the time of the shot it looks as though my wife has a large piece of confetti on her tongue. This is a real shame because she looks absolutely stunning. Does anyone know how I can remove the offending piece of confetti and restore her teeth, tongue and lips?

Jun 24, 2008I submitted the only picture I have of my sister wearing her wedding ring. I needed a good picture because she lost her ring. Endless hours of searching the internet, for something similiar proved unfruitful. Several guys on this forum took the time to blow up the photo, however my computer crashed and I do not have the pictures anymore.

Jan 30, 2013Having upgraded my PC. I did a new windows installed and installed Photoshop CS6.
The problem I have.... When I open or paste an image that contains certain colours. They show in photoshop as black. (only under RGB)
Loading the image in MS Paint doesn't produce the issue and when I save out from Photoshop. The saved image is fine.
All settings are the default out of the box.

Jul 26, 2006I do a lot of photography and like to create pages in Photoshop to be used with companies who create albums such as SharedINK and AsukaBook.
There are a few nice software options out there such as Yervants Page Gallery, You Select It, Fotofusion, Pixel Creator Pro, etc. that help in designing album layouts. There are also some sites catering to Photoshop actions that create pages based on templates as well.
I'm seeking advice about the best way to create my own templates in Photoshop. Currently I am thinking of the following way.
1. Create my page template with guides and proper dimensions for the book company I plan to use. So I would create a 10x10 inch page and set guidelines for dpi/bleed/trimming for example.
2. I then would create clipping layers for each image and then arrange them all on a copy of the canvas background.
3. I would also add some line art, colored boxes, and perhaps adjust the opacity on some of the images.
Finally, I would save the file into a PSD format.
My thinking is that I could re-use the file again and simply replace the images in the clipping masks.
A few other ideas for creating a template in Photoshop might be to experiment with Smart Objects or Cutout Masks.
I have an interest in supplying a few of these templates to friends and associates who design wedding albums, family albums, or simply to showcase their photography and artwork.
I'm curious what others think about the best way to create a template in photoshop that could be used in a Wedding Photo Book for example "without" having to purchasing hundreds of dollars worth of 3rd party template software. In fact, I've actually heard that Yervant's Page Gallery and You Select It will export to PSD, but they will not create a very good template in Photoshop. There are limitations I've heard, thus designing in Photoshop from the beginning seems the best way. Plus the sky's the limit with creating your own designs.
Finally, I should mention that there is nothing wrong with having a 3rd Party template workflow. I in fact just purchased a copy of Fotofusion and it's fabulous for creating fast photo collages and then mixing them up again to gain a fast view of alternate layouts.
This is a relatively new area I think for most Photoshop users, but with the advent of Digital Photography and the reduction in price for published styled albums, I think more and more people will be interesting in creating their own templates. Not to mention creating templates above and beyond the basics which I'm seeing a lot lately. You wouldn't believe how basic some of the Photoshop pages are floating around and how much people are charging for them. They're simple to make in Photoshop and thus the desire to create my own templates.

First I thought it was somekind of GAMUT warning - but i dont think thats it.
When i change the bits from the standard 8bit (and 16bit) it displays the colors wrong - HOWEVER when i make the file 32bit - it displays correctly!? Why?

Apr 8, 2013I just opened Photoshop cs5.1 and now when i use specific colors they turn black -->[URL] however this ONLY happens in Photoshop when im using 8 or 16 bit colors, 32 bit works perfectlyfine -->[URL] and even stranger yet the colors in the layers tab work fine -->[URL] my GPU is a AMD HD 7970 with the latest catilyst.

Aug 10, 2008I am trying to install the trial version of Photoshop Extended cs3 and every time I try, it will tell me that "Component Install Failed" and have a red x next to Photoshop and/or Shared Components. This is the first Photoshop product that I have tried to put on my computer, and the only other Adobe program we have is Flash MX. I did not install any beta`s and we recently formatted the hard drive, so I`m pretty sure that running the CS3 Script cleaner thing won`t help. I have also tried to install it on my laptop, (Recently formatted as well) and it does the same thing.

Feb 4, 2013I have problems with colors. There is black overlapping blues/greens as shown on the image. This spiral is done with the same color airbrush style so the more saturated the area is the more black color percent appears.
I have installed it 2 weeks ago and it was working well for kinda half that time. Suddenly I have tried reinstalling both graphic drivers and photoshop but doesn't work.

Lightroom :: Lost DNG Adjustments For A Whole Wedding?
Feb 25, 2012As you can see, I am in a frantic stage. I just finished editing through close to 800 photos of a wedding that I recently shot. After I finished editing them I went to the floder location, in Windows, not Lightroom 3 (huge mistake), and I made a folder inside of that folder called "raw". I selceted all of the photos and then moved them into the that folder. So, the files were in weddings/021812/ and I put them in weddings/021812/raw/ . When I went to Lightroom, of course it said that the files were offline. Instead of finding the missing folder, I clicked "synchronize folder" and pointed towards the "raw" folder. I noticed that the images were importing without their setting and I cancelled the synchronization. I went back to windows and moved all of the photos back to their original folder and now when I try to "update folder location", the photos do not show up in Lightroom.

Apr 24, 2012Recently I have had a problem with Lightroom over saturating the blues in the skys of my photos. I start with a RAW file from my Canon 1Ds Mark 3. I start processing it in Lightroom and then send it to Photoshop CS5 as a TIFF to do more editing. The file is saved as a TIFF and appears in the lightroom catalog. In lightroom the skys are now highly saturated, much more than in CS5. I can view the Tiff file in the Windows Preview window and it looks the same as in CS5. If I use lightroom to export to a JPG, the JPG is saturated just like the TIFF appears in Lightroom. Windows Preview shows the JPG highly saturated just like it looks in Lightroom. This problem started in Lightroom 3.6 and has continuted in Lightroom 4. I first noticed it in February 2012. I am using the ProRGB color space when opening it if CS5 and as the workspace in Photoshop CS5. It makes no difference if I save the files in 16 bit color or 8 bit color. Color Management Policies in CS5 are set to Preserve Embeded Profiles. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both LR4 and CS5, but that had no effect.
These 2 screen captures show how the blues became more saturated in Lightroom after being edited in Photoshop. Since I do not have Camera RAW 7, I tell Lightroom 4 to render in Lightroom and send a TIFF to CS5. What is causing the shiff in the blues?

InDesign :: CS6 - Appearance Of Blues Are Desaturated
Feb 27, 2014All bright, vibrant blues are appearing as muddy and desaturated. I've changed the transparency blend space, the color settings, and did everything else I could think of including restarting the program.I've looked everywhere for a solution to this, but the only thing I found suggested changing the transparency blend space...which I tried several times.

For some reason when i'm using the add line tool, i need to click the same two points 6-10 times before it actually closes or even more frustrating; it just doesn't close. When I review the event viewer error, it says cannot add / crossing break line... This isn't true, there are no breaklines being crossed.

Mar 21, 2011I am attempting to clean up/repair a damaged wedding photo to be displayed at a funeral. The photo (about 70 years old) has been crumpled or folded over the years. I have scanned it into the computer and have tried to use the clone tool to remove the fold lines. At a magnification of 200 or less, the clone tools works fine. However, I need to work at about 2000 magnification to remove lines from the bride's face and hair and veil. I cannot seem to get the tool to function at all at this mag. It will give me the dotted line and then change to the arrows but you cannot move ANYTHING.

I have this idea that removing *Model* from the list will do it. In addition to causing PDF creation failure, I believe it is also responsible for forcing the Model to always be in the Publish list, even though I have unchecked the "Include model when adding sheets" option. I can remove it from that list manually, but it comes back every time.

Jan 28, 2012Several times a week I need to take a PDF (single-page doc), then convertto a page-sized PNG with quality good enough to read the text (and atransparent border), and then convert to a SWF. I have a PNG-to-SWFutility, but when I used it on the PNG saved after I opened my PDF andexported from GIMP, the end result was not good enough. A co-worker saidGIMP couldn't make a PNG (w/transparency) with enough quality. He said we'dhave to use some other software. Part of the issue was not being able toresize without losing quality before the PNG export. True or false?

Mar 14, 2014After moving a page in my document the master page elements no longer display on screen or in print. If I move the page to a different location in the document the master displays but if it is in the specific position that it needs to be it will not display. The document has multiple Masters and others do work on the page but the one that I need will not. I've tried deleting the page and adding a new one and that does not fix the problem. I've checked and "Hide Master Items" is not checked. The page in question is in position 48 with F-Master applied. If I move it to position 49 it works, 50, it works, 51, or any other it works. If I apply a different master to the page, it works. If I delete the page, add a new page and apply F-Master it still does not work. The only page that this problem is happening on is page 48.

Apr 1, 2014Trying to set up a datamerge file to create multi page spread documents with fields on different pages. Attempting to set it up so it's as automated as possible as there are up to 20 different merge documents needing to merge with up to 100 different csv records from the same file each week . The merge documents have different and repeated merge fields on most pages.
I've set it up so that the document has facing pages, and most pages have images spread across the whole of the spread. the pages preview fine, they are created ok when using 'Create Merged Document' although the page numbers continue from one document to another (another problem). but when I come to export to pdf, then the merge only shows the image on the left spread but on both left and right spread single pages, and the page numbers don't show the correct page numbers eg it will go p1 p2 p1 p2 etc all the way through the document instead of p1 p2 p3 - p20 etc. I don't want to have to merge first then pdf but can't understand why the images and page numbers are not showing correctly.

Mar 30, 2012If it's a bug, then I cannot believe it wasn't caught before the release. So here it is. I simply put artistic text down on page 1. Select the text and copy to clipboard. Add a new page and paste the text. On my computer, the text changes from artistic text (as copied to clipboard) to paragraph default text left justified across the center of the page. It doesn't matter how much text I select, it always pastes on the new page as paragraph text left justified and across the center of the page.
However, if I select artistic text and any other object, copy and paste to a new sheet, it works erectly. Apparently, I now have to select text and an object to insure that the paste feature works properly?
