Having upgraded my PC. I did a new windows installed and installed Photoshop CS6.
The problem I have.... When I open or paste an image that contains certain colours. They show in photoshop as black. (only under RGB)
Loading the image in MS Paint doesn't produce the issue and when I save out from Photoshop. The saved image is fine.
All settings are the default out of the box.
Recently PS CS5 is displaying blues and greens like black...
First I thought it was somekind of GAMUT warning - but i dont think thats it.
When i change the bits from the standard 8bit (and 16bit) it displays the colors wrong - HOWEVER when i make the file 32bit - it displays correctly!? Why?

I have problems with colors. There is black overlapping blues/greens as shown on the image. This spiral is done with the same color airbrush style so the more saturated the area is the more black color percent appears.
I have installed it 2 weeks ago and it was working well for kinda half that time. Suddenly I have tried reinstalling both graphic drivers and photoshop but doesn't work.

I can't fix and wondered if anyone out there could provide some pointers. I was recently married and one of the photographs of my wife and I is absolutely great (taken by a friend). The ONLY problem is that at the time of the shot it looks as though my wife has a large piece of confetti on her tongue. This is a real shame because she looks absolutely stunning. Does anyone know how I can remove the offending piece of confetti and restore her teeth, tongue and lips?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just opened Photoshop cs5.1 and now when i use specific colors they turn black -->[URL] however this ONLY happens in Photoshop when im using 8 or 16 bit colors, 32 bit works perfectlyfine -->[URL] and even stranger yet the colors in the layers tab work fine -->[URL] my GPU is a AMD HD 7970 with the latest catilyst.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install the trial version of Photoshop Extended cs3 and every time I try, it will tell me that "Component Install Failed" and have a red x next to Photoshop and/or Shared Components. This is the first Photoshop product that I have tried to put on my computer, and the only other Adobe program we have is Flash MX. I did not install any beta`s and we recently formatted the hard drive, so I`m pretty sure that running the CS3 Script cleaner thing won`t help. I have also tried to install it on my laptop, (Recently formatted as well) and it does the same thing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I have had a problem with Lightroom over saturating the blues in the skys of my photos. I start with a RAW file from my Canon 1Ds Mark 3. I start processing it in Lightroom and then send it to Photoshop CS5 as a TIFF to do more editing. The file is saved as a TIFF and appears in the lightroom catalog. In lightroom the skys are now highly saturated, much more than in CS5. I can view the Tiff file in the Windows Preview window and it looks the same as in CS5. If I use lightroom to export to a JPG, the JPG is saturated just like the TIFF appears in Lightroom. Windows Preview shows the JPG highly saturated just like it looks in Lightroom. This problem started in Lightroom 3.6 and has continuted in Lightroom 4. I first noticed it in February 2012. I am using the ProRGB color space when opening it if CS5 and as the workspace in Photoshop CS5. It makes no difference if I save the files in 16 bit color or 8 bit color. Color Management Policies in CS5 are set to Preserve Embeded Profiles. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both LR4 and CS5, but that had no effect.
These 2 screen captures show how the blues became more saturated in Lightroom after being edited in Photoshop. Since I do not have Camera RAW 7, I tell Lightroom 4 to render in Lightroom and send a TIFF to CS5. What is causing the shiff in the blues?

All bright, vibrant blues are appearing as muddy and desaturated. I've changed the transparency blend space, the color settings, and did everything else I could think of including restarting the program.I've looked everywhere for a solution to this, but the only thing I found suggested changing the transparency blend space...which I tried several times.

For some reason when i'm using the add line tool, i need to click the same two points 6-10 times before it actually closes or even more frustrating; it just doesn't close. When I review the event viewer error, it says cannot add / crossing break line... This isn't true, there are no breaklines being crossed.
my animation takes around two seconds to load within my browser. Is there a way to display a loading symbol such as spinning circle, that will show the animation is loading, then disappear once it is ready to display?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently working on a site which is almost 95% complete. The loading time for the site is approx 7-10 seconds which seems to be slow. I have placed a preloader but that doesn't seem to be coming up while the site is loading.
Is there anyway to speed up the loading time. Like some code that will tell it load specific number of frames first and then load the rest in the background?

Our printer has informed me that the drawings, which are basic line drawing wtih a color panel behind, are constructed of 100% of all four colors and therefore too much ink for the press to handle. The printer wants the black converted to a rich blk (40, 20, 10, 100)Is there a easy clean way of doing this? I suspect it's something in the channel pallette. Your thoughts?

When I import an eps, or create a new object with a shape tool. The default style is a clear fill and a hairline CYMK black (0,0,0,100) outline. I think I know how to change it to true black (0,0,0,0), but when i import an eps or an illustrator file, it is coming in as CMYK black (0,0,0,100)

I have tried all different PDF creation settings (high quality, press quality, PDFX3, default) from Illustrator but nothing works. How can I create a PDF that maintains 100% black and prevents it from converting to process black?

I am having something odd happening, I think it is new with 2014.
I noticed that my lines are not actually printing as black, but rather a very dark brown or almost black.
I have a stb style (Bk 1.00), Color = black, screening 100, and for some reason it's not really printing full black.
One layer (A-Elev-Maj) is set for color 132, but the plot style is Bk 1.00. It prints on my Canon Pixma and on pdf as very dark brown.
I have another layer (A-Fill-Bk) set to color 0,0,0, and also plot style Bk 1.00, and it prints dead black.
I tried making the A-Elev-Maj layer 0,0,0 and it still prints an "almost" black.
I checked in the stb file, it is really set to black. I tried 250, as well as 0,0,0 and go the same result.
Attached pdf. You can look at the fence railing or the triangle chimney cap to see the comparison of the A-Fill-Bk which is printing actual black and surronding lines which are "almost" black. Zoom in and you can see it.
I have been working on a large number of sketches. At this stage I am just using the path tool to make the outlines of my cartoons.
I have got fairly confident with the path tool now, however on my first 3 pictures my paths were a mess. The first 3 pictures I stroked the path at 10 pixels, I would like to reduce this to 6 pixels. I am not able to go back to the original paths so I guess I need to select lines from the completed pictures and and convert these to paths, then restroke.
I have been trying to select by colour (it is all black) but that gives me the outline of the black, ie, a double path. I have tried selecting the back ground and expanding it by 2 pixels, this worked but not in tight corners.
I have an image where i chopped seperate parts of different pictures, desaturated all 4, but on the one, there seems to be more "grays" in the black and white photo... i want the grays to be more black. Messing with the brightness and contrast isnt doing it...

Basically a CAD program I use only exports PNG files. The CAD program can export in black and white and in color. The color PNG files open fine in CorelDraw. The black and white PNG files just show up as a black filled box.

Alright, I have a grunge vector I'm using in an opacity mask over my shapes. I need to convert my .eps grunge vector to full black, if I dont then the end result looks fine in illustrator...but when brought into PS you can still see light pieces of the object that the grunge was supposed to mask out.
When I click the eps file and use %100 black: instead of filling the grunge bits to black, it fills the entire selection black so I end up with a big black box, and if I use the stroke, it outlines the box itself. I tried making a compound path and also expanding the grunge, then retrying but no dice. Does AI recognize this eps file as one big square selection?
How do I get my .eps grunge vector %100 black rather than the CMYK black?
