I just installed CS6 and tried opening CS5 psd files but they appear blank even though I can see the images in the layer thumb nails. Is there something that could be hiding the layers?I meet thewindows system requirements but my memory usage is almost at 4GB just having photoshop open.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been using Illustrator for a few year now, but I've never had this problem before. Recently, I went to open up some files I had been working on. The problem was, when they opened, the files were blank. There was nothing on them.
When I open pdf and eps files, they're fine, it's just ai files that open up blank.
I ran a quick test where I created a new file and saved both as an ai and eps file. I closed it and quit Illustrator. I then re strated the program and opened the test file, and lo and behold, the ai file opened up blank, but the eps file was fine.
I'm on Mac OS X, running Illustrator CS6
Blank/Black Screen when opening some CorelDraw files.
I have several hundred CorelDraw files with various images and design that I use for printing for our business.
Recently I have opened files to discover either blank or black screen in the CorelDraw file. I can use Object Manager to see that the image and text are still present, but I cannot view it. I can also export the image to a PDF even though I cannot view it. Other files open without any issue. One file opened fine and then when I went to cut an image the file turned black and is now in the same condition as other files with the problem.
Using CorelDraw X4.
I am importing RAW files using LR4. Some images come up blank, from the same CF card, when other appear perfectly. These can be seen when viewed on the camera.
Locating the images through the '?' icon achieves nothing.
I am trying to attach a png image to an AutoCAD file and the image appears blank with a border. When I insert the png file as an OLE object, it shows as an icon with the filename. BMP images work fine.

I have a customer that sent me some Illustrator files (.ai) that, when I open them, they open with just a blank window and a box with no fill or stroke around the outside of the document. I am using Illustrator CS4 and I suspect this may be an Illustrator CS6 document but I didn't get any warnings when I opened it so I'm not sure. (I also don't know what version of Illustrator the original creator is using). The document sizes are large (35MB +) so there should be SOME content in them. I've tried making sure nothing is hidden and there are no layers that are turned off. I've also tried opening the files in Acrobat CS4 with no luck.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn the average 1 out of 10 drawings will open up with a blank display. By clicking randomley on the screen until a line is high lighted and using the re command the drawing will appear. This has started happening after switching to Win 7pro 64 bit and Autocad 64 bit. This happens on various machines in the office, and on differant files made by differant computers.
Display is set to black. Layout is set to white.
I have tried various display drivers, the ones from the mfg, and the ones that have been tuned for S W. no effect same problem.
I'm trying to work on a project I created a few months ago in Edge. However, when I try to open it in Edge Animate CC, it just displays a blank screen (See image).
The timeline, the canvas, the properties, nothing seems to be populated. If I drag the time line back to 0:00, an alert pops up saying "An error occured. Please save your work and restart Edge Animate." The exported HTML file still seems to work fine though. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Edge, but that hasn't seemed to work.
EDIT: This seems to be an intermittant problem. Sometimes, the file displays correctly, sometimes it doesn't. If I close the program and open it again, the issue re-occurs.
I can edit a video, with resynced sound/dialogue in premiere cc. When I save and close the project, everything is okay. When I later reopen the project all or most of the audio tracks are blank. They are there with the right name and length, but no waveform and no sound. I have put them in manually resynced and then on save and close: again they are gone. So there really is no point in editing if I can`t save the result. How can i restore my edits and also why do I have to do so? I have now redone every scene 5 times and I need a solution asap. Autosave keeps the same useless projects.

I tried the pluraleyes extension (as I was using pluraleyes) but this makes no difference.
Have some pics in X4 on Windows 7 but same are not opening in X 12/ Windows 8.
When copied from X4/Windows7 and pasted in X12/Windows 8, icon showing blank and on opening a blank document opens.
CS5 when I try to crop a jpg or psd file the image on my work area and the thumbs in layers go blank. When I hit "step backward" they reappear.

I can fill in the squares by clicking in the area using the "Move" tool, I would of course to just have my images open the way they should.

View 14 Replies View RelatedMost the the Creative Suite misbehaves with respect to the Windows 7 taskbar. One behavior that's particularly unproductive is seeing a bunch of gray icons for open application windows, and having the associated full size peek image grayed out too. I frequently work with many open image windows that I prefer to keep undocked. If they're minimized, more often than not there's a gray taskbar preview.
Once I click on the thumbnail and activate a window, the thumbnail taskbar image updates. But when I switch between applications, the updated thumbnails will usually go blank next time I peek at the PS6 taskbar.
Every new file in Photoshop CS5 is suddenly too large. For example, an 8 1/2 x 11 document at 300dpi (created simply with the Photoshop preset), is now 80MB on the disk drive after saving. In the past, it would be only 1MB.

And if I hide every single layer you would think I'd see the checkboard background. Nope! Not even that appears. My colleague tried opening up my files on his copy of CS6 and the files work fine. I've checked and my version of Photoshop CC is up-to-date.

I'm using Lightroom 4..i've been importing my RAW images from my external harddrive. Some show up in the catalog as ruined with a blank white section and color bands. I've checked the actual image on the external hard drive and it is fine. I've deleted the ruined files from the LR catalog, then re-imported those problem ones... still come in as white with banding. I've even tried deleting them from the catalog, then from the hard drive... then back onto the HD from the camera, then back into lightroom. Some look ok until I look at then in loupe view and the same problem happens. Mean while the images on the HD and on the camera's CF card are fine.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been working on a 32 page project for a week now and while working I noticed that the miniature preview was lost and replaced with a "pen" icon. It's usually a sign of something bad and after closing the file I tried to open it again.
Even though windows says the file is 173 MB, the file is blank. Nothing appears in the object manager either. What do I do to reveal the content? I have deadline tomorrow? The backup is corrupt too for some reason. A backup that gets corrupt - whats the use of it?
I would like to open two or more images in Photoshop cs6. Side by side or one above another. These are compressed zip files and not pictures uploaded from a digital Samara. If that makes a difference. Is there a way to do this in Photoshop or is this strickly bridge.

My PS CS5 - Mac OS - gives me an error message that PS couldn't open thrRaw images because the camera is not supported by my version of Camera Raw.
I have a brand new Lumix DMC-FZ150 and shot some images in the RAW and JPG mode. My photos are imported to Pictures/Adobe Camera Raw/FL 2012.
I did NOT install Panasonic's CD "SilkyPix" because I thought CS5 supported this Raw format from the FZ150.
When I try and open a photo, it only opens in the navigator window on the layers palette. I am trying to open it in the main window and can't seem to figure this out. It happened once before and was fixed after a reinstall. This time it happened in the middle of editing and saving some photos. I haven't changed any settings and am really perplexed by this.
When I close the navigator window, the photo still only opens on the layers palette and not in the main window.
I have got myself in a pickle. Whenever I open an image in CS2 in comes in looking very narrow. I have checked the "Pixel Aspect Ratio" and that is set to SQUARE, which is the default. This Narrow configuration is also present in the cloning and other tools.
