Photoshop :: Jeans Texture/Pattern
Jan 26, 2004I'm trying to find the "jeans" texture or pattern.

View 6 RepliesPlanning to be off line for several days and starting getting into photoshop composition. Are there any well known, good value, texture/pattern packs, that are popular and you would recommend that would contain textures/patterns I could use in compositing some backgrounds. Specifically I had in mind:
* inside rooms - wall & floor textures
* old rooms - rock, tiles, cobbleston textures
* outside areas - trees, grass, road surface, walls, vegetation
That is so offline I would have a nice large range to choose from to blend into background compositions. I know you can "google" to get various results, but if there are a few specific well know & large/comprehensive packs of this type of thing at a good price..
how to create clouds, and the only thing I am missing is something I am supposed to have, which is a clouds pattern file. I am searching high and low for this particular file.
View 9 Replies View Relatedalright well today i downloaded 500 seamless texture all in jpg. format. i was wondering if there is anyway to bring all of the textures into my photoshop without having to... define pattern.. name it and exit one of the 400 windows, 500 times.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if photoshop or a plugin got a function, which can create a "plane" looking like pants and then fill it with the texture/pattern I want?
Something similar to vanishing point. Though in this case I got pants. So a square ain't useful.
Take a look at the pictures. I cut out the pants, make a plane looking thing, which shows the depths and folds in its area. After that I apply the texture/pattern. Is this possible with photoshop?
I hope you catch my meaning. If not I will try to describe myself better.
I'm coming from Fireworks.A technique I use often in my ui work is to combine a texture with a gradient that fades the gradients color and the pattern to transparent.
In Fireworks, this can be done on a single layer with no mask. The transparency of the gradient affects the pattern. This is not the case in Photoshop. I am wondering how I can accomplish the same thing in Photoshop, while keeping everything vector.
I want to know how I can put a pattern on an image. It needs to be an image with a transparent background. For example, this image (that I found on Google):
(this is a huge picture, I am just using it as an example).
Its a PNG image. Its a star template, filled with a pattern of stars....how can I do this using Gimp? I want to make different stars like this one..some with cheetah pattern, some with zebra pattern etc.
I know it has to do with the layers or something
Also, does Gimp come with templates I can use? Like a star, for instance?
How can one remove a raised texture pattern from a scan of the original photo?
Have several wedding photos scanned into PS Elements that were printed by the pro, photography studio on a raised pattern paper. How to remove the honey comb type pattern so that the picture canbe printed flat on glossy color photo paper?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm fairly new to using bump maps and have a question about a wood grain bump map.
I am using a bmp file in the material editor for the wood grain, along with a UVW modifier to make the grain run differently on the different pieces of the furniture. I was hoping to "enhance" the appearance of the grain on the wood, so I thought I would try a bump map by using the same bmp file and set it to 30%. While there is much more texture to the grain than wanted, I'm wondering why the vertical instances of the wood do not seem to have the map applied?
Aside from that question, is there a better way of enhancing the grain pattern without necessarily increasing the texture?
I am using Coreldraw X5 for printing and sublimation. If I use Pattern or Texture fills for a background, is there any way to make them less intense so the text can more easily be read? I am not sure of the correct terminology, whether it is "fade", "intensity" "transparency" etc. I would just like the fill to be fainter.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add some texture to some text by subtracting a grunge pattern from it. I've expanded the appearance of the text, so it is now shapes. However, when I place the texture shape over it and try to subtract it from the letter shapes, it only leaves me with the first letter.
Is there another way to do something like this? I would rather not have to keep subtracting the pattern from each letter individually. I've tried ungrouping the letters, then uniting them in the Paths panel, but it doesn't seem to be working either.
How does one create a texture similar to this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor my 3D scene, I have to use a texture file on the floor. If I use the only file, than it looks really boring and below par. What I want is, I want to generate some (around 6-8) texture files within the original texture file - so the colors of all the texture files remain same but only the texture varies.Likewise there are more than 500 texture files and I just can't do them manually. Is there any way out to do this in Photoshop?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a lava texture and a ground texture. I'd like to be able to make some cracks on the ground texture that would show through the lava texture below it. Something like a cracked mud look. I would be using this for a game I'm making form some terrain textures. Are there any plugins that would aid in making these transparent cracks and perhaps even add depth to the cracks?
I guess a spider web where the spider was on crack would be something I'm looking for. Similar to the following image:

The pattern stamp is not loading the correct pattern in Photoshop CS6. Although it shows the correct image when I go to Edit - Define Pattern, once I start painting I see that is not correct.I tried resetting my preferences.

View 9 Replies View RelatedHow can I make a circular pattern of a single occurence of a rectangular pattern?
A shaft has a rectangular pattern of holes (along its axis) on its surface. I want to pattern the 4th occurence of this hole pattern as a circular pattern? Can I do it in Autodesk. I can not select the a specific occurance of a patterned feature to pattern it again.
As you see in the template photo (the photo was scanned by Microsoft Security Essentials, healthy) I wanted to extrude my circle, and I made 28 pieces with circular pattern feature; now, do I have to choose all the pieces by one by to be able to choose all?
The sum of the problem: while using the Circular Pattern feature or rectangular pattern feature in Inventor, sometimes I want to extrude (join) or cut the drawings that I made (augmented) with using circular pattern feature, rectangular pattern feature. in this case do I have to choose all the augmented members one by one (for instance I make 42 augmented members), it can take a lot of time.?
How is it possible to use "Feature Pattern Select'' to make the Pattern a want in an assembly?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to take a feature created by a pattern and reuse it to create another pattern? I have a circular part on which I have created a linear pattern (using the rectangular pattern feature) of holes, 6 in total listed as 3 ccurrences. if we number the holes 1-6, I would like to make a circular pattern based off holes 2 and 5. I have been unable to figure out how to select the individual "occurrence" related to the hole once in the pattern feature. If I create the circular pattern first and then the linear and try to suppress the others it supresses both holes in the occurrence.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI played with the feature a bit and understand how to create the patterns. Problem is when I go to fill in my 12x12 space there are seams. I have chosen different sizes in the pattern window but all show up with seams when I fill the larger space. Am I doing something wrong or is the largest size you can create with this tool seamlessly only 9x9?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWell, the title pretty much says it all... if you have a pattern set that you've already created, how do you continue to add new patterns to it while keeping those already there? I'm going to end up with a few gazillion of them because I do texture maps in Poser. So I HAVE to be able to keep adding new patterns to the Plaid Set, the Polka Dot Set, the Purple Monkey set... But I can't find this info anywhere.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am creating an assembly with my base part being a weldment. I've added other components that mount to my base part. Now I need to add fasteners to the mating components. I have added my first fastener and now want to pattern the said fastener using the "Pattern Component" and by using the "Feature Pattern Select" option and selecting "Associated Feature Pattern". At this point I have already selected the component that I want to pattern and selected the "Associated Feature Pattern" to select my base pattern. The only problem is that I am unable to select the pattern desired.
A note on how my Weldment was constructed -The holes were created in the "machining" step of the weldment, not in the individual part before it was placed in the weldment assembly.
If I move the hole feature and its pattern to the individual part and then place it in the weldment assembly, I can then create an "Associated Feature Pattern" in my assembly file. Why can I NOT create the associated pattern when my hole features are created in the weldment assembly? Or am I missing something?
I have an assembly which I am using as a icopy component. In the assembly I have the adaptive sketch which os used for the icopy function and a part which is adaptive to the sketch. I then have the part pattern itself in the assembly. The problem is the pattern will not update when changes are made unless I edit the pattern. The pattern references parameters from the sketch so that when the sketch changes the pattern should change. It works but the pattern will not update unless i open the pattern to edit it. Is there a vb function which will force the pattern to update when a change is made? I tried the update document vb functions but no change. I will try to get a sample together that is a smaller file size so you can see what I am talking about.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI love the new Pattern Maker in CS6, but I keep running into a problem:
When I create a pattern that is NOT tiled in Grid (i.e. Brick), it usually works without any problem. But once I save and re-open the file, opening the pattern in PM again will show this message:
A clipping mask was created around the pattern tile bounds to preserve legacy pattern appearance. For best results, release the clipping mask when changing the tile size or editing art that overlaps the tile edge. I would then find that, instead of a single motif layed out in a Brick tile, I would have one complete motif in the center and four quartered motifs on the corners of one clipping box. This is tiled in a Grid pattern to emulate a Brick appearance.
So long story short, what's supposed to be a Brick tile turns into a Grid tile that's faking a Brick tile.
Is there a way to keep the simple Brick tiles?
i'm using illustrator cs5. making a pattern containing a pattern. i have some illustrations that i've put a simple polka dot pattern behind. in order for illustrator to accept it as pattern, i've been expanding the polka dot part before dragging it over to the swatches panel. however, when i do this it slows everything down tremendously and usually makes the system crash.

Since I am creating the output file manually I gather the flat pattern boundaries and bend center lines for output to a file.
When I add flat pattern sketch entities to the mix they do not overlay properly. What matrix would I have to push the sketch entities through to get them to the same coordinates as the flat pattern?
