View 3 RepliesI tried to install Photoshop CS6. I used the Adobe Download Assistant. During first try of installation my battery of the notebook broke down - I accidentally forgot the charger..When I try now again an installation the Download part with the Assistant works fine but during installation the process does not continue anymore after this step ..The "progress-bar" of this dialog completes but after this nothing happens.
Â
I tried this several times.I also tried to clean the registry (Ccleaner) - no success.

Photoshop CS6 via Adobe Dowload Assistant
CS4 Trial will not load
I have downloaded the trial version of CS4. When installing the download stops at the Initializing stage with Checking System Profile bar stuck at 90%.
The PC has CS3 and Lightroom installed and both run well. The PC has 500 GB HD and 3 GB of ram I have tried to install with and without the virus checker switched on. I have tried also as Administrator, I have run both Win install clean up and the CS4 Clean Script.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried installing the purchased downloaded version of the software to two different Windows 7 64 machines and installation just stops on the first screen. "Next" never becomes active. Corel told me to delete my temp files and I've done that, to no avail. I had the same thing happen with the trial version and just figured that they would have fixed the for sale version.
Is there a cleaning or prep patch for this one?
I have been using Ulead VideoStudio / Corel VideoStudio since the 4SE version and made all upgrades, up to X4.On April 1, 2012, I purchased then the UG from VS X4 Pro to VS X5 Pro and downloaded the software through the link provided by Corel.
I start the installation, enter the S/N of X5 and X4 (because I purchased an upgrade). But installation always stops with an error message at the following step: "Please wait while we configure Microsoft Visual C+++ 2005 Redistributable"
The error message is: "1: ALLUSERS property is not 1 - this MSM cannot be used for a per-user or fallback-to-per-user install".
What I already tried so far...I already uninstalled VS X4 and used the "VS_Cleanup", but the error persists. Meanwhile, I contacted Corel support, and they recommended to uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ and then to re-install it. I followed their instructions and uninstalled all instances of Microsoft Visual C++ and then re-installed the latest version, i.e. Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 (x64).However, the same problem persists.
Meanwhile, I tried many other approaches: I moved the installation file (.exe file) to the desktop and tried the installation from there, I tried the installation as another user (equally with administrator rights), I tried to install under Windows Safe Mode (this failed, since some necessary drivers or software was apparently not loaded), removed any remaining traces of VS X4 manually and made a registry clean up, etc.Note also that all latest updates of Windows and related software are made.
I also re-downloaded the installation file, in order to make sure there is no problem with a corrupt installation file.
Video standard: PAL/SECAM, manually selected during the installation process.

The installation up to that point is reversed. No product is installed.
Â
Downloading the file for a second time does no solve the problem.

Monitor Profiles are not defective.

Issue:
After a fresh restart of my PC Photoshop will function as normal for a short while (1hr appx.) after that it ceases to import/export or do any of it's intended functions. I CANNOT import ANY files. I am not presented with any error messages and it simply doesn't work. Buttons appear to highlight and the toolbars are still accessible, however I cannot continue with my work. If I then restart my computer it will function for a short while again then this will happen.
Â
Things I have done:
Reinstalled Photoshop CS6
Deleted Preferences (Multiple Times)
Contacted Adobe Support in which case they failed to fix the problem.
after a serious virus attack Photoshop CS4 stops loading at message "Measuring Memory".

I've been running into an odd problem using the Animation window and Transforms. If I select an area then try to Transform it (using either Free Transform shortcut or the Move tool with "show transform controls" enabled), the canvas and navigator stop refreshing. I can still pan around the canvas and draw on selected layers, but those are the only operations that get the screen to refresh. Changing frames, turning on/off layers, and hitting Undo will still perform those actions but the results aren't displayed on screen until I pan the canvas.
Â
If I have multiple files open, all of them are effected in this way. Quitting then restarting PS gets rid of the refreshing problem, but if I use the Transform tool in a file this problem has occurred in, the same thing happens.
Â
This doesn't happen until I've been working on a file for a long time (at least an hour or so), regardless of file size as far as I've tested. The problem persists with and without OpenGL drawing enabled. I have an Nvidia GTX 560 with driver 306.97 installed.

Restart PSRestart MacDo something else for a bit and jump back into PS praying it might now be ok.The problem exists using the laptop keyboard alone, and while using a bluetooth(apple) keyboard.
I've tried multiple times and each time the installer stops at about 80-90% on the install. No error message just stops.I even tried just installing single parts of the CS4 package and the same thing. I am running Windows 8 64 bit.just trying to get photoshop installed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter opening and using photoshop cs6 for a few minutes I get a box popping up saying Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." So far never received any notifications about a solution. I notice that it closes soon after I try a CTRL T to select an image.

I am a paying subscriber of Adobe CC and my problem is this. After about 15 minutes of use in Photoshop CC (32 or 64 bit), it suddenly stops letting me either create a new file or open an existing one. I select File->New->the new document dialog appears and I select the defaults and click OK. Nothing happens. Same thing with File->Open->select an existing image file and it never appears.
If I reboot my computer or logout and sign in with a different account, re-open Photoshop CC, it allows me to create and open files without issue...for about 15 minutes and then the same thing happens. This is NOT an illegal copy of the program! I am a paid subscriber.
When I have made 5 HDR RAW pictures and want to combine them within CS6, the program Photoshop stops working. Why is this happening? What am I doing wrong? I juist follow the instructions of the book.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI read on this forum that more than a year ago that this subject had already been approached here about CS6, without any proposed solution, and it continues with CC:- The limit of reframing with rotation stops in 0,6 ° - what was not the case of CS5- This limitation returns impracticable CC, in particular during treatment of reproduction of picture..I find that products CC bring me more inconvenience than profits. I believe that I am going to return to the previous version and to delete my subscription to Cloud (the same kind of unpleasant surprises with Dreamwaever !)

I have recently bought a Lenovo Ideapad to use for editing but it seems to have an issue with the space bar shortcut. As soon as I press the space bar, the cursor will not move, I cannot click, not right click. If I plug in a USB Mouse, it will work fine.
Obviously most of the time I will be using a mouse, but it is most frustrating when I'm using the scratch pad and cannot pan around the image. I have checked through all the settings I can find regarding the scratch pad.
I'm recently having a problem in photoshop cs5.After a while in photoshop, MOST keyboard shortcuts stops working. the keyboard works just fine, but the shortcuts are'nt. All I need to do to fix it is to restart photoshop and it works fine again (until the problem occurs again). But recently, this problem occurs ever 2 mins. I've just started a design I wanted to finish with quickly, and I actually restarted photoshop at least 20 times.
btw, the only other applications running while photoshop is are windows media player, NOD 32 , windows photo viewer, and some other folders, thats it.
For the last three versions of Photoshop the shortcut keys [ ] for brush size stops working. Why is this not fixed? The other shortcut that shows brush size in red.

First of all, let me say that I am very enthused with the changes in CS4. I feel that this is the best update to PhotoShop that I have seen, and I am a user since version 3.0.
The problem that I see, ocassionally, is that PhotoShop becomes non-responsive for a long period ie: 1-2 minutes. I have experienced this on both my desktop (64 bit Vista Ultimate and 64 bit CS4) and my laptop (32 bit Vista Ultimate). During this time the disk drive is continuously active as though it is swapping the file to disk. The file size, however, is not large enough to cause this and the utilization factor is shown as well below 100%. After a period of time the disk drive stops and CS4 becomes responsive again.
The system is an AMD dual core processor with 6GB RAM on the desktop and 2GB RAM on the laptop. Both systems use SATA hard drives. The CS4 scratch disc is a separate dedicated drive on the desktop. Both systems use Nvidia video and open GL is working fine on both computers. Both computers have the latest Nvidia drivers. Since there are no open GL problems, I assume that the video drivers are okay. As I have said, I see this problem on both my laptop and my desktop.
When I open Elements 7 on the left side it starts looking for subscription information but it never stops looking. I have to close the program and restart to get in. Thisd is extremely annoying. Why does it do that? I have a legal registered program. How do I get it to stop this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm installing PS CS4 on Visat 64-bit. The first time I tried installing it the setup stopped when it was loading the Language pack for Device Central. I started the installation over again and removed Device central from the install and then started it again. This time it got almost to the end of install but it then stopped again when it was trying to install the Photoshop CS4 English Language Pack_x64.
Has anyone else loading CS4 had this problem in Vista 64-bit?
We have a copy of Adobe Creative Suite 2 installed on one computer that was recently hit with a trojan. The software is still on drive D and is intact. The software was activated a long time ago. Drive C had to be reformatted and the OS reinstalled because of the trojan. I'm trying to reinstall the software since the old registry is gone. I was just going to reinstall over the old version. Since this is an upgrade, it wants the Photoshop 5 CD. We don't know where this is, but we do have the old serial number. When we installed this a few years ago an Adobe tech had us enter a secret keystroke that brought up a box that we could enter the old serial number. I don't remember this keystroke. Q1: Does anyone know the keystroke to enter the old serial number instead of having it search for the CD? Assuming I can enter the old serial number and get past this screen, will a reinstall trash the activation? I do not want to re-activate the product since I assume it will not let me do so. The software was installed and activated on this desktop and on my laptop. I assume it will only let you activate twice. The activation directories are there along with the DAT files, howver. Q2: What can I do to preserve the current activation? And no I can't follow the instructions which would be to launch Photoshop and go to the Help menu and choose Help > Transfer Activation. I can launch Photoshop, but I get an error ""Your Adobe Photoshop user name, organization or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit." The old registry is gone since the OS was reinstalled.
