Does anyone know if Photoshop CS3 will import a Photopaint .cpt file. We are thinking of switching from Photopaint to Photoshop & have a large number of files that we would still need to have access to. There are way too many of them for us to open each one in Photopaint and then export as a psd.

Over the years I tried Adobe but just got turned off because I thought it was non-intuitive, but now I'm on a new mac with CS2 I understand I have to just get used to it so i can have its powerful features! After days of searching, I have yet to find the answer to my biggest question...
How do you customize the toolbars?? I know how to move the windows, dock them, make them visible/invisible, etc. But how can you add new buttons to them? I'm used to having every function that I use often right there, one mouse-click away, instead of nested inside of some menu. Like a save button for instance. Or copy and paste.
When selecting "File - Acquire Image" in Corel PhotoPaint X6 it does not see my scanner, yet when I open Corel PhotoPaint X5 the scanner is there and I can scan directly from there.
The scanner also works fine in Adobe Acrobat and other software installed on my computer. Only Corel PhotoPaint X6 is not working

I can export after I convert the file to RGB mode, but I want to understand why I cannot export as a jpg without doing that...?
I'm trying to import foreign characters into Ventura 10 that are not available in the Multinational A or B sets under Insert | Symbols. If I simply copy and paste them from Word, nothing shows up in Ventura. Is there any way to get these "extra" foreign characters to appear?

I'm trying to use the RAW images that I've taken on the camera in Photoshop, so I downloaded the RAW 2.4 plugin from Adobe.com and followed the necessary steps to place it in the correct folder. The RAW plug-in appears in the plug-in about menu, but when I use the file browser (or import menu) to try and import a RAW image from my Canon EOS 20D DSLR, it doesn't see any of them.

Basically, unlike EPS / TIFF / or JPEG images, the AI EPS images could be loaded in Ventura using script, but the script has a different behavior. It flawlessly loads & imports the AI EPS (you could see the AI EPS files in Ventura publication chapter file navigator), but the image does not load in the publication template.
In order for these AI EPS images to get loaded & appear in the template, they need to be imported as Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) using the Filter Type option (attached image for reference).
I have just started using a Canon 60D. I wish to use PhotopaintX4 to process the images in RAW of course. Naturally impossible to do at present because PP can't read the file. Is there a download to enable this to happen?
View 14 Replies View RelatedWhen I bring an image from bridge into photoshop CS5 the image sometimes (more than I would like) breaks up into multiple images in the same window. (see attached example). It was suggested that my video driver may need updating but on checking I have the latest drivers!
This problem has only been happening for about a month and everthing was working fine before that. Im running win7pro 64 bit and am running photoshop from my ssd drive. The display driver is a Nvidia Geforce 240 which again has been fine previously. Would it be worth unistalling/reinstalling the program, just a thought!
I tired importing photos from one folder and about 300-400 of them weren't imported (out of about 1,000). I deleted them and tried again. Same thing. On the third try it imported all of them.My thought was maybe it's going to take more time importing images from my folders than learning to use the program. I can't learn the program if it keeps dropping images. I tried another directory of about 3,000 images but it only accepted about 300 of them. No matter how many times I tried, it would only import 300 out of the whole batch. These are good jpg files that all my other programs have no trouble with.

When I import jpeg images from Sony a77 camera to my windows 7 computer I am getting 2 more dupplicates, the 2nd one has noise that looks like rectangles . Is there a fix for this? It is on elements 10.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI changed Adobe Elements version (from 10 to 11) and Brand New all-in-one Dell XPS computer that comes with Windows 8 as OS (From XP SP3) ... Now my import in Adobe Organzer gets stuck. Adobe Elements sees the camera, and compares the files on my camera to the photos in Organizer and knows how may are duplicates. I then select all the photos it finds as Non-Duplicates and tell it what directory to import into and select (Finish/Import) and it just sits there. I can change anything on that screen for options, but it really is locked up. I have to use Task Manager to end the task so that I can get back into Adobe Organizer.
View 4 Replies View RelatedPremiere Elements 12 does not import CMYK still images as it is time consuming to have to keep converting to RGB. Does Adobe propose to remedy this? Also, a 'generic failure' message is not exactly useful. And it would also be useful it the official Adobe list of acceptable files made it clear that CMYK could not be imported. I always thought that Adobe were experts when it came to file formats. How would we manage without Adobe Photoshop?

They then inverted the mask to only show the colour adjustments. I'm wondering if I can recreate this within PP. From playing with it, I can't yet see how so I just through I'd ask here. When I load my own images to the image sprayer tool in Photo Paint there is a white square background showing when I use them. I have tried png and jpeg what sort of file should the images be.

1. Building the slide show exactly as website creator's help topics;
2. Using a jquery plugin like this one: URL....
3. Using URl.... and copying original DHTML & Javascripts.
With all the above the slideshow does not show in browser preview or in website creator's build in preview.
Knowing that X5 won't apply effects to 48bit images unless I convert them to 24bit first, If I apply a mask first over to the 48bit image, then apply an effect to that, will this work? or do I still need to convert my image to 24bit?
View 3 Replies View Related4705.sample2.tifOur customers have given us some black and white .tif Monochrome Bitmap images at 400 ppi (see attached sample) and 600 ppi of some scanned black and white engineering drawings. Some of the small text on the drawings is not very legible because open areas are filled in with black. Some of the vertical and horizontal lines are ragged (digitized) on the edges. Is there any way that I can improve the visual quality of these Monochrome Bitmap images in Corel Draw (which I use) or Corel Paint (of which I'm not very knowledgeable, or adept)?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been reporting this problem in PhotoPaint for many years now, and was hoping it might be fixed with the 64 bit implementation. Sadly, it still does not work. Certainly this cannot be such an impossible problem to resolve.
The last version when it worked was with release 12, which I kept around for quite a while until I switched to a new system. I have tried it on each release of PhotoPaint since then, and it has failed on X3, X4, X5 and now it still fails in X6.
It works with smaller images, but when the image is greater than some 3000 to 4000 pixels wide, the results are totally scrambled..
All of sudden, PSE9 stopped importing images, says 'import failed'. I tried to reload PSE9, no change. Tried deleting & reloading PSE9, no change.
