I'm using CS2, and images look different between photoshop and firefox 3. I'm sure this has something to do with color profiles,
I'm not very concerned about how the images compare across different computers, but I need the same image to look the same in photoshop and firefox on my computer.
I've read that among the new functions Adobe added to the CS File Browser is the ability to sort selected images on a number of fields, for example date/time created, file size, image width, height, etc.
Question for CS users who use Batch...
Once images are selected and sorted in the desired sequence using the CS File Browser sort function, does this mean that when one invokes the Batch dialog (either from the FB menu or the File > Automate menu and Source=File Browser) the images will be batch processed in the sorted order?
In PS7 (and earlier versions) the order of batch processing has always been in alphabetical file name order.
So, after many trials and studying websites that take images seriously on different monitors I'm considering giving up trying to get converted sRGB images from my wide gamut monitor to look good in my browser. Sure if you convert to sRGB, in a wide gamut setup, the image will look good on old monitors.
BUT it won't look good on the new ones. Nobody talks about that. It really seems that some of the high end coporate sites are already converting to adobeRGB and putting images on the web that are converted to AdobeRGB and not sRGB. The photos look great in my browser on my wide gamut monitor and those sites' photos seem washed out on the sRGB monitors I used on the same sites.
There is no way for me to know for sure sinced the images are untagged but when I download them and apply the AdobeRGB profile to them, it looks just like in the browser. The sRGB profile washes out the image. Look at [URL] ....
I opened the drawing and then from the drawing opened the model. In the drawing it is showing the 4th instance of ROUND CRS-032175 X 33 as an assembly. It also is not showing in the view and yet the visibility is checked. AI2012 SP2

When I press F1 Inventor opens the help on my default browser (Chrome), but when I click the bynocular it uses Internet Explorer.

I can't get my file browser to work correctly. It was working great before. On the top right, all I see is the plus sign and the work Desktop, where is used to see the whole tree structure of folders and such. The other windows in the browser are working...just not the top left. I can't expand the + sign when I click it. When I do, I get a Photoshop error message that says "Could not complete your request because of a program error". I have WIndows Vista Home Basic. I know that sucks but it was working for a long time with it. Also 2 gigs of ram.

I have been using two monitors for some time, having all my tool palettes on one monitor and using the other monitor for photo editing. I would like to have the File Browser on the second monitor with my tool palettes, so I could leave it open all the time. I haven't found a way to move the file browser to the second monitor.
I can click and drag the tool palettes from one monitor to the other with the mouse, but when I click in the title bar of the file browser and try to drag it to monitor no. 2, it will only move off the edge of one monitor, and not move over to the next. Anyone have a suggestion of how to move the file browser from monitor one to monitor two?

However, these images appear normal when opened in Photoshop or in Windows Photo Viewer. If I do ALL the editing in Photoshop alone, these images appear fine when viewed in a browser. I checked Adobe's resolution requirements and mine are up to par as far as I know. Escape takes me back to my window and enter/return will save it, but so far nothing to preview it. It's frustrating because I use the preview in browser feature often. I just switched to Mac from PC about a month ago and never had this problem on my Dell. I'm running CS.5 on the Lion OS.
Also, is there a way to create a new keyboard shortcut for this if one doesn't already exist? I tried exploring it for myself but I didn't see an option to create one for the preview in browser feature, or even how to make a new one.
Before, whilst in Google Inspect on any webpage I could drag an image onto the Photoshop application icon on the dock = opens up in Photoshop + with PNG transparency.
Now this has stopped working for an unknown reason about 2-3 months ago after updating. I'll drag the image over the application icon on the dock as before, but then nothing opens. As a result, my workflow is now more inefficient and inconvenient.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing PS CS5.1, converting a large space image to sRGB for web use does not give accurate render in actual browser. This is a common problem, but usually there are a couple of simple user errors that lead to this, and it usually means a less saturated image. This, however, seems unlikely to be user error, as I've tested it with a freshly created, sRGB image, with simple gradient, outputting it with embedded profile (non-embedded gives identical results in browser), and it becomes overly saturated.
The interesting, and probably all telling thing, is that viewing the optimized web version with Monitor Color selected in the preview gives what my browser actually shows me. Likewise, soft proofing using my Monitor RGB gives the same image as my browser.
I'm on WinXP x64. Browser is Firefox, and I've tried all three color management settings with no change, and also same results with Chrome browser.
This grad is in the ProPhoto space, converted during save for web. Color is a good match, with a slight shift, not unexpectedly. Note, preview is with Internet Standard RGB.
Same grad, this time with the preview set to Monitor Color. There is quite a saturation increase. This is what my browser actually shows me. I do not have desaturate colors selected in my color settings.
When I am working in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator I always loose my keyboard connection (I don't know how to describe it otherwise).After a while I cant type anymore (only key available is the ALT key for some reason).Sometimes it goes over after a while but at other times I will have to restart my computer.
