After I've edited a image in Lightroom and then import or view in a web browser all the colors appear dull. However, these images appear normal when opened in Photoshop or in Windows Photo Viewer. If I do ALL the editing in Photoshop alone, these images appear fine when viewed in a browser. So, I'm assuming that the problem lies in Lightroom.
I've been able to in the past use the eyedropper tool to grab colors from browser windows and get the exact coded color if it's a css color. I'm using Photoshop cs5 on a mac with snow leopard. When I try to get any color from a browser window (both safari and firefox) photoshop will shift the color slightly.
Let me explain my situation: I have a website where I publish my Illustrator documents as exported JPEG files. The website has a certain RGB-color background. And my illustrations have the same RGB-color background. Those two backgrounds have to match perfectly, in order to produce a nice effect. They do match in Firefox 14, but they don't match in Safari 6.
So, I need my exported JPEG files to have browser-independant colors. I read everything I found on the Internet on this topic, but it's just general stuff about Color profiles and the Edit > Colors... menu and color differences between browsers. NOT A SINGLE TUTORIAL on the whole Internet on how to produce browser-independant JPEG files using Adobe software.
Currently, I am exporting my Illustrator documents using an AppleScript, in order to save time:
Export docRef to file (myPath) as JPEG with options {quality:60, optimization:true, antialiasing:true, artboard clipping:true, saving as HTML:false}
But you don't have to give me an AppleScript necessarily. Just give step-by-step instructions on how to do this in Illustrator, and I will automate it myself. I know that PNGs are browser-independant, but I would prefer JPEGs, because the size is smaller.
I opened the drawing and then from the drawing opened the model. In the drawing it is showing the 4th instance of ROUND CRS-032175 X 33 as an assembly. It also is not showing in the view and yet the visibility is checked. AI2012 SP2
I am trying to use the Browsernode.addchild method to add an occurence to an empty browser folder. The code fails at this point and I gett an error pointing to the line "Call oTargetNode.AddChild(oSourceNodeDef)". I can add the occurence with the browserpanes.Reorder method without issue if the folder is not empty. The code is pasted Below.

I recently installed CS5 on my laptop after first removing it from my previous machine. All licences were validated so no problems there. Now when using paint bucket in Photoshop, the colors that I select in the color picker are not the colors that result when I use the paint bucket.
If I create a new black canvas then the colors selected in color picker work with paint bucket. But if I attempt to recolor the background in an existing image that I import into Photoshop, I get the mismatch with colors when I use paint bucket. My method for selecting colors is the same in each case, I select 'set foreground color' and set the color using html values entry at the bottom of the panel.
Just wanted to print a new photo and realized that the colors in print preview do not match the colors in soft proofing. In both cases I selected the same icc profile and rendering method. The print colors matched the colors in print preview. I never had a problem so far. All new prints will be checked with soft proofing and adjusted when necessary. I never paid attention to the color rendition in print preview and all prints perfectly matched the colors from the soft proofing. I was surprised when my print came out of the printer and the colors weren't matching the soft proofing colors, but that of the print preview.
I don't understand why Photoshop renders the colors differently in the first place. See attached screenshot for the difference in the blue/cyan colors. I don't care if the print view colors will match the print, but I do care when soft proofing is not working.
The colors of pictures is much darker when working in photoshop than when I open it normally. And vice versa, I work on images inside photoshop, and I get the colors I want, but once I save it to bmp or jpg or anything else, all the colors are much lighter.
CDX5: Whatever color I select for fill or outline is now set as the default color for fills and outlines without expressly setting it as such. Until now when I left or right click a color with nothing selected it allowed me to set it as a default fill or outline color for graphics, artistic text, or paragraph text. It does not do that now.
Is this a "feature" that's been added that I somehow enabled? In any event, how do I turn it off?
We are working with a company that will be sending us DWG files. They do not use the same layer colors as us and I am trying to find a lisp that would allow me to set up a table with the layer names and the color I want them to be so that I can quickly change all the layers to our companys color standards.
Example:
Layer 1 = Color 1 Layer 2 = Color 15 Layer 3 = Color 10 Etc.
I don't know a lot about lisp but I figure if I could find a lisp that did this I could plug in my layer/color assignments and it would work.
Using CS6 on a MacBookPro Is there a way to find the closest matching Pantone spot colors to the cmyk colors I've created in Illustrator? I know it's easy in Photoshop using the color picker, but there must be a way to do this in Illustrator.
You can see in the attached screen cap that colors 1-9 appear as white on my screen and that colors 10-22 are not correct either. This is only occuring in one specific drawing. Is there a preference that I switched somewhere that would make this happen? I have double checked that everything is ByLayer or ByColor that I can think of. If I insert this color chart into other drawings it looks fine. using C3D 2012.
I would just restart my drawing, however it is the new company template file that I have invested many hours into and would really like to be able to keep working with it and not start over. Or is there a good way to import and overwrite all the Prospector settings into a blank drawing?

I'm using CS2, and images look different between photoshop and firefox 3. I'm sure this has something to do with color profiles,
I'm not very concerned about how the images compare across different computers, but I need the same image to look the same in photoshop and firefox on my computer.
For some reason the upper left pane in my PS 7 browser is blank. How do I show the tree view as shown in the picture of the browser window in the help section of the program?
I just played around with a new sig and I want to upload and put it in my profile. I save it as a .jpg and then upload. I update my profile and the dreaded box with the red x comes up... Ive spent my entire night trying to see what is wrong and I give up. My previous images Ive done are fine, but not anything I make now. Anyone have an answer as to why I can't view my images online? I have windows XP and I can view them fine through the windows viewer...
I can't get my file browser to work correctly. It was working great before. On the top right, all I see is the plus sign and the work Desktop, where is used to see the whole tree structure of folders and such. The other windows in the browser are working...just not the top left. I can't expand the + sign when I click it. When I do, I get a Photoshop error message that says "Could not complete your request because of a program error". I have WIndows Vista Home Basic. I know that sucks but it was working for a long time with it. Also 2 gigs of ram.
I have a question concerning the file browser in CS. I have been using two monitors for some time, having all my tool palettes on one monitor and using the other monitor for photo editing. I would like to have the File Browser on the second monitor with my tool palettes, so I could leave it open all the time. I haven't found a way to move the file browser to the second monitor.
I can click and drag the tool palettes from one monitor to the other with the mouse, but when I click in the title bar of the file browser and try to drag it to monitor no. 2, it will only move off the edge of one monitor, and not move over to the next. Anyone have a suggestion of how to move the file browser from monitor one to monitor two?
For an unknown reason, before I save an image for the web, I commonly preview the image in a browser. Now it seems to be applying the image as a tiled background image in browser preview. Where can I change this setting?
when I select 'save for web and devices' and try to preview my images in the browser, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The problem has only recently started though I've never changed any of the settings.
Under some circumstances, whenever I open the color dialog (maybe others can't remember) for some reason I don't know Photoshop opens the Help Site in a browser... it does not just once, but maybe dozens of times.
This is an annoying bug that has existed for many Photoshop versions. Keyboard layout is Icelandic.
In application data (docs/settings) there are Adobe file browser caches, I know you can delete these without any problems, but what are the files? and do they have any use's (can you use them for anything) and why arn't all the photos that go through PS in there, only some of them.
