View 1 RepliesI have version 8 cs.
I have resized a photo to 406 x 305mm with the image size & canvas size dialogue box set correctly, but when I print the image it comes out as 240 x 170mm.
I have tried every printing option to get the correct print, but it just aint happening.
I have tried scaled to fit media (on & off), custom printing size, a3 printing size.
In Photoshop CS3, I crop or use the Image Size to get, say a 5"x7" image at 300 dpi. Then I do a "save as" as a jpeg image. Then I re-open it and it's not 5x7. Instead it's 8.75" x 6.25". When I look at Image Size again on this new, previously saved file, it displays 8.75" x 6.25" at 240 dpi.
I uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop CS3. I looked at my preferences to ensure it was displaying in inches and not centimeters. It is.
One thing to note is that this once worked and now it does not. I'm running with version 10.0 on Windows XP.
some of my plugins and cannot get them back, i was trying to clear some space but didnt mean these!! i need these for a project! is there a place i can download plug ins for photoshop cs for mac!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to re size them based on document sized in 'inches' to be set by resolution say for example: If the width or height is less than 4.72 inch the image resolution should be 150dpi; if the width or height is less than 1.33 inch the image resolution should be 300dpi; and the last one if the width or height is greater than 4.72 inch the image resolution should be 75dpi.

I resized my image from small to large. It is now 600wx300l px (for blog banner). How do I remove the blur and clear it up? Is this possible?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working on some images that have very specific colors. It can be 1000 colors or 5000.
When I resample the image, I would like to keep the colors. So if I have one pixel being e5d900 and a pixel next to it is 00a5d3, resampling the image will pick one of the colors and not something between.. or a color of the 1000 or 5000 that are on the color palette.
I have been using paint.net for a couple of years to resize photos for work purposes with no problems. All of a sudden two days ago the photos I resized or cropped started saving as oil paintings. I didn't click on the oil painting effect and I haven't changed anything that I am aware of. I've been going through everything I can think of and even uninstalled and reinstalled the program trying to get rid of this weird default change. I can't figure out how to change it back to normal.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'd like it, if an image is re-sized to the same percentage as the current zoom level, afterward the zoom is automatically switched to 100%
Typically, if I have an image too big for it's intended use, I'd adjust the zoom until I get it to appear the right size, then resize it to the zoom level. (I imagine many people do the same thing). However, after resizing, the view of the image is really tiny, since the old zoom level is now being applied to the smaller image.
I'm using Corel Draw 12 and on some of my computers, if I resize or flip an image the original image remains on screen as well as the resized or flipped version. On other computers it doesn't happen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem. I'm making a videogame with a videogame-making program, and I can import my videogame characters from computer images. One example is the Forest Imp monster:
PROBLEM is.. there's an invisible (because it's white) border of pixels around this monster. If you want to see it, go ahead and open the above png in Photoshop and use the Paint Bucket Tool to fill in the background, but make sure Anti-Aliased is OFF. See all the white pixels around the monster? Those show up in the videogame: ....
I have two extremely small images that I need to scale up. Unfortunately i can't post them but i need to know if anyone has any ideas on how to go about making them look more presentable.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have just started using photoshop to develop some designs that are meant to be printed on fabric. And then sewn into dresses..While I know how to change the size and scale of the image and canvas. I can not tell how big or small the objects or different elements in the pattern will be when printed out. For example if I want to have a certain part of the pattern appear on the shoulder of a dress and another on the hem, how do I ensure that they are printed at the right size and in the right place. I tried printing out one pattern on a meter of fabric and it turn out that it was too big and most of the design will be cut in the process of making the dress. I have no way to determine the dimensions. Is there a way where I can place a dress outline over an image to check it out or size the individual items inside?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been collecting all kinds of small cards and tickets. Like those that are clipped to a new set of jeans, or a ticket for a bus fair from vacation. Small pieces of paper that tell a story.
I'd like to make a poster, an image, out much smaller ones. I don't know how they are called, but everybody knows them. Those smaller images are put together in a checkerboard-pattern. Together they form a big image, that you one see when you take some distance, look between your eye lashes.
My question is: Is there a photoshop-filter that can do this, or is it a stand-alone application? Where can I get it?
I'm a MacOS X user.
CS6: why does a TIF image saved to Jpg format becomes so small?

(I just wrote a big post but for some reason when I tried posting it the forum logged me off and it didnt post so I wont get too detailed here.)
Basically I need to print the image for example using 9 piece of normal paper and stick it together with transperant tape to make a large image.
Is there a way to do this without the need to cut the borders on each page, I really would like to print borderless pages and not cut them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created a resume in Photoshop CS5 for OS X - I know, I should've used InDesign but I'm more comfortable working in Photoshop.
The PSD is currently 2550x3300 px (8.5x11 in) at 300 dpi. I'd like to save the resume as a PDF flie so I can submit it online. I have no intentions of printing this particular document. Most websites will only accept a file size of under 1MB. What are the ideal settings for saving a PDF in the smallest file size without sacrificing on image quality? I should also note that I do not have Acrobat Pro.
Why is the text size in the instructional boxes "File", "Edit", "Image" etc: so small that they are almost unreadable. I know its me, but I can't figure out how to fix it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving followed various tutorials to the letter, I am finding that, on close inspection, my stacked image appears to have small, random, out of focus blobs. No matter how many shots I use in the stack, the final results are the same. However, if I repeat the procedure, with the same images, the result is the same, but with different areas of softness.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe would like to use Gimp for a small set of image conversion experiments. Unfortunately, the system where we want to install and run Gimp belongs to a US Govt agency, the environment is secure and their data is extremely sensitive. So we need to get their approval before we can install Gimp. To get it, we need to provide information on whether Gimp is "US-based" or "foreign-origin". We don't have a strict definition of what either of these terms means, but I am wondering if you have encountered these questions before. Can you tell me what the geographic origin of the tool is? Do you know of any specific instances of your tool being installed at any US Govt locations with sensitive environments?
