I have one pic of my mom and dad. I just want to swap the heads of my mom and dad. I keep trying and I have created a new layer. But when I cut my dads head and move it and then try to cut my moms head I can't go back to my dad's head and move it to where I want it.

The images merge nicely but the problem is that the blurred bird has been placed on top of the sharp bird, i.e. the top layer (bird with blurred eye) is blocking the bottom sharp bird. I have clicked and dragged the bottom layer to the higher position on the layers panel but the images do not swap positions.

View 8 Replies View RelatedToday I am working on a book that has been laidout in InDesign. I am trying to convert it to a digital publication format, and as such, I am trying to strip running heads since they insert willy-nilly in text because the digital text doesn't follow the same page flows as the print version.
In this case, I have a master page A that is a left and right page, both of which have a running header, the left with the book name and the right with the chapter title. When I go to the master page and delete the header text boxes for BOTH pages, this removes the LEFT page's running heads throughout the whole book. However, for some reason the RIGHT page's running head stays where it is. This is a book that is about 600 pages in length. I really don't want to scroll through 300 pages to manually delete these headers. Oh, I should note that the pages in question do say "A", so the A master page would appear to be applying to them. That goes for both the left and right pages, but only the left ones are responding to an edit of the master page.
Here is a picture of the before and after situation. In "before", I'm showing you the file as it came to me. The verso and recto A masters both have text boxes with running head info, and the body of the text is in accordance. However, when I edit the A-Master pages to remove these text boxes, only the verso page responds in the body. I note that the text content of the recto boxes is different (each chapter has its own chapter title). However, the format follows the A page as you can note from the Pages panel on the right of each screenshot. So why is it that the recto is hanging around? I've had this problem in a couple of shorter texts where it was quicker just to manually nuke the boxes, but I feel carpal tunnel setting in just thinking about doing this for multi-volume sets and the like.

Also the screen shows black and white when plot is in monochrome and color only when the plot setting are for color.
I can't figure out how to keep the screen in color regardless of plot settings.
Is it possible to create your own custom arrow head for use with leaders, balloons, dims etc?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAs I continue my learning of AutoCad on the PC after having been a Mac CAD (non-AutoCad) user for 15+ years, another question has cropped up. My boss wants the circular "heads" of the elevation and sectional callouts to be smaller on the finished drawings. How can I control (or override) the default size of these? Or do I need to override on a case by case basis? I've searched these and other forums and what I am getting a sense of is that AutoCad controls those sizes pretty tightly so they remain annotative and AutoCad sets them at the size it thinks they should be and changing that size is not a simple process.

Is there any way to add arrowheads to a path with script (JavaScript or VBScript)? I don't want to make triangle or V-shaped path but add one of the built-in start and end arrowheads, scale them and set arrowhead alignment, all with script. There is no information about this topic in the Illustrator scripting references.

Basically at some point or another, maya swaps back to the default hotkey layout. Im not quite sure how or why. Sometimes it takes an hour before the problem arrives, other times minutes. Its not permanent tho, restarting the app will fix it.

I am using a Max with OSX version 10.7.5..I have checked all the relevant folders and made them all Read Write..I have tried making the relevant folders manually and re-starting GIMP but same message.
I have 2 files and I'd like to copy a titleblock from a template drawing and use it to replace an existing titleblock on an in progress drawing. The titleblock on the in progress drawing has attributes, and I'd like to keep them when I put in the new titleblock. The attribute tag names between the 2 titleblocks are the same.
I do not know the exact names of the titleblocks, only that they contain the words "title block" somewhere in their name.
I've developed for Inventor for a while now, but I'm completely new to AutoCAD. How might I go about this?
I believe the basic steps would be something like this:
1. Identify which object to copy from template sheet.
2. Save that object to memory
3. Identify object to replace in existing drawing
4. Copy attributes and get position of existing titleblock
5. Delete existing titleblock
6. Insert new titleblock and copy in attributes
I've taken the Autocad tutorials, and I've searched for relevant posts on ThroughTheInterface. Is there someplace else to look which might give a more in-depth example of what I'm trying to accomplish?
