AutoCAD Architecture :: Controlling The Size Of Section And Elevation Callout Heads?
Dec 5, 2013As I continue my learning of AutoCad on the PC after having been a Mac CAD (non-AutoCad) user for 15+ years, another question has cropped up. My boss wants the circular "heads" of the elevation and sectional callouts to be smaller on the finished drawings. How can I control (or override) the default size of these? Or do I need to override on a case by case basis? I've searched these and other forums and what I am getting a sense of is that AutoCad controls those sizes pretty tightly so they remain annotative and AutoCad sets them at the size it thinks they should be and changing that size is not a simple process.

Mar 6, 2013I was wondering if there is possibly a way to create, modify, or edit the section tags in Revit. I've tried going through Properties> Edit Type to change the size, and type of the tag (or the section head), but i notice there are only seven options, and no way to change the size of them. Is there a Family Type I can edit? Where would I find it? Is there a way to create my own, perhaps, and upload it into my model template?

Jul 19, 2012I am working on my first real Revit project. i need to modify a windows family and in particular i want to change the axis of insertion of the window in the wall. I mean... my window should be placed on the outer edge of my wall. i try to unlock the dimensions that define its position and then i lock the dimension in the new position; the window seems to be ok but only in the RFA file. When i imported it in my project file, the windows moves in the wrong way in my real wall.

Apr 6, 2012I've been using Revit a lot more and dont remember a lot about ADT and AutoCAD Architecture.
I've been getting reacquainted with creating sheet templates and smart tags for a project I'm working on. I have the Sheet creating okay but when I placed a view on the sheet and tried to tag it with the default view title from the call out tool palate all I get is the name of the view and placeholders for the view number and view scale. It says "View Number" and "viewport scale." From what I remember it should at least give me question marks if its linking but it doesn't look like its making any connections.

When I use the File Open dialog box, for example, I always want it to be bigger so I drag the corner to enlarge it, but the next time I call it it's back to the same default size. Edit: I just realised a workaround. I saved a blank 1024 square pdn file to my desktop. Clicking this starts paint.net with this sized image.
