Jul 30, 2004I want to do a montage of a load of portraits (which i've cropped from other pics) which are all faded and merged together in a circle and I then want to put a logo on top of it.

Mar 6, 2013I was wondering if there is possibly a way to create, modify, or edit the section tags in Revit. I've tried going through Properties> Edit Type to change the size, and type of the tag (or the section head), but i notice there are only seven options, and no way to change the size of them. Is there a Family Type I can edit? Where would I find it? Is there a way to create my own, perhaps, and upload it into my model template?

Feb 3, 2014Today I am working on a book that has been laidout in InDesign. I am trying to convert it to a digital publication format, and as such, I am trying to strip running heads since they insert willy-nilly in text because the digital text doesn't follow the same page flows as the print version.
In this case, I have a master page A that is a left and right page, both of which have a running header, the left with the book name and the right with the chapter title. When I go to the master page and delete the header text boxes for BOTH pages, this removes the LEFT page's running heads throughout the whole book. However, for some reason the RIGHT page's running head stays where it is. This is a book that is about 600 pages in length. I really don't want to scroll through 300 pages to manually delete these headers. Oh, I should note that the pages in question do say "A", so the A master page would appear to be applying to them. That goes for both the left and right pages, but only the left ones are responding to an edit of the master page.
Here is a picture of the before and after situation. In "before", I'm showing you the file as it came to me. The verso and recto A masters both have text boxes with running head info, and the body of the text is in accordance. However, when I edit the A-Master pages to remove these text boxes, only the verso page responds in the body. I note that the text content of the recto boxes is different (each chapter has its own chapter title). However, the format follows the A page as you can note from the Pages panel on the right of each screenshot. So why is it that the recto is hanging around? I've had this problem in a couple of shorter texts where it was quicker just to manually nuke the boxes, but I feel carpal tunnel setting in just thinking about doing this for multi-volume sets and the like.

Jun 22, 2012I can't figure out why only on one layer the arrowheads on dimensions are not solid. They are made up of low resolution hatches.
Also the screen shows black and white when plot is in monochrome and color only when the plot setting are for color.
I can't figure out how to keep the screen in color regardless of plot settings.

Dec 23, 2006All of the colors when I use brushes always appearance very faded. It takes a couple of layers and 're-clicking' too get the dark color I'm looking for. I've tried re-installing and re-setting default's, but it hasn't seemed to work or I'm doing it wrong. I was wondering if there was a way I could change the default. This is for CS3 Beta BTW.

Aug 23, 2006I'm trying to import a jpg from PS into Flash. When I do, the jpg is washed out looking. The save preview in PS looks great, but when I open the jps in any other program, it looks washed out.

AutoCAD Architecture :: Controlling The Size Of Section And Elevation Callout Heads?
Dec 5, 2013As I continue my learning of AutoCad on the PC after having been a Mac CAD (non-AutoCad) user for 15+ years, another question has cropped up. My boss wants the circular "heads" of the elevation and sectional callouts to be smaller on the finished drawings. How can I control (or override) the default size of these? Or do I need to override on a case by case basis? I've searched these and other forums and what I am getting a sense of is that AutoCad controls those sizes pretty tightly so they remain annotative and AutoCad sets them at the size it thinks they should be and changing that size is not a simple process.

Is there any way to add arrowheads to a path with script (JavaScript or VBScript)? I don't want to make triangle or V-shaped path but add one of the built-in start and end arrowheads, scale them and set arrowhead alignment, all with script. There is no information about this topic in the Illustrator scripting references.

Photoshop :: Faded Printed Images Through CS5?
Jul 10, 2013When printing any document through Photoshop CS5, it's printing at about 25% opacity. If we open the file in Preview or Word, it prints just fine! What do I need to change to get PS printing correctly again?
This all started when we downloaded a template offline. My co-worker designed within the template and when she went to print, it was faded. I tried printing a photo from my computer to the same printer quick to troubleshoot what the error might be (low ink, etc...) and my photo printed 100% ok. I then opened the file she designed, tried printing it and it was faded. I then tried printing the photo that printed earlier fine and now it and everything else I print is faded! What in the world changed? We've tried restarting both our machines, restarted PS, deleted and reinstalled the print drivers, etc... But to no avail.
We're printing to just a simple desktop printer, a Canon MP210.

I'm aware this can be achieved with the pen tool. Path stroked with a brush with some settings altered. Most likely Fade.
This is where I am so far:
Problems:
I cant get BOTH ends to fade.
A long path wont get fully stroked since the fade happens too soon.
Photoshop :: Feathering, Faded Edges...
Sep 30, 2006I want the edges of a picture to fade into the background. I know I can use the erase tool to obtain this effect. A friend of mine showed me a few years back a different and somewhat easier/quicker way. She showed me to use the rectangle/elliptical tool and select the area you want to show. Then select inverse. After that use the feather option to round the edges/amount of feathering. My question is what would be the next step? I know there is something else that needs to be done to actually fade the border, but I can't for the life of me remember.
