View 6 Replies View RelatedI have one pic of my mom and dad. I just want to swap the heads of my mom and dad. I keep trying and I have created a new layer. But when I cut my dads head and move it and then try to cut my moms head I can't go back to my dad's head and move it to where I want it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know if what I am asking is allowed because I am trying to make something adult oriented...
I want to turn a dragon picture into an adult furry picture by adding a ***ina to it, I have selected the part from another photo but I want to adjust the color of the part to match the dragon's skin color..
pasting new layers happens so often it's getting a bit redundant to always move my cursor over to the Layers panel, right-click and select New Layer (just the way I have been doing it) to get around the Floating Selection behaviour.
I'm wondering if there is a keyboard shorcut, or if I can change the default behaviour to automatically paste it as a new layer and not as a floating selection, or if there is some other trick people here like using to save time.
As stated I'm using Mac OSX (ML) with GIMP 2.8.3.
I do realize this is probably a trivial matter for experienced users but I really cannot figure this one out by myself.
I dragged another GIMP image onto the main one, then tried to enlarge it (it worked) but the visible portion remains within the boundaries of the unscaled image..
does number->string have format options? What is the equivalent of "printf" in gimp tinyscheme?
I am scripting adding axes to an image and need to control of format of floating point numbers that will be passed to gimps text generation functions.
After pasting a new object in order to create a new layer, in thelayers menu there should be Floating Selection ("pasted Layer") like Burnie wrote. Forme, I right-click the "pasted layer" and select "New Layer", and the pasted object showsup as a new layer. From there, I make sure I deselect everything (SELECT > NONE), andthen use the move tool (making sure the cursor is over the pasted object) to click onthe object in your new layer in order to move it.
You can move it first too though (then press ctrl+shift+N to turn itinto a regular layer). I find that quicker, but whatever floats yourboat. Layer. Whatever.
I was just wondering as to whether its possible to keep the checkered base which you get when you remove part of an image or have it transparent to stay in the created image.
I am sure you all know this.
Here is the YouTube background which I have created and wondering if I am able to keep the checkered base or whatever in the image after I have saved it rather than print screening and pasting it back like a jigsaw puzzle.
I’m editing an image in Elements 11 and have accidentally gotten myself into a mode that I don’t understand and so far have not been able to extract myself from. I want to clone an item from the image. I select the Clone Stamp tool and suddenly I have a second floating duplicate of the image which gets dragged around every time I move the cursor. How do I get rid of this second floating image?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got Gimp 2.4. I am missing something. Every time I use a tool like rotate, it keeps the old picture there and turns a new image around. Then when I select another tool like resize, the image goes back/ to it's original position?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an image open in Photoshop, rulers visible on 2 sides. I pulled out the bottom right hand side (as I look at the screen) to have the image float in the background. Normally my background is grey, but suddenly it's turned to blue.
how this happened - what I unknowingly hit - but neither can I work out how to return to grey.
The Palette Editor won't stay on top when GIMP is in Fullscreen mode, yet does when GIMP is not in Fullscreen mode.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using ACAD 2011 and it seems to have removed some of the functionality in inserting images and keeping them there?
I am trying to put in a small company logo so that we can have a drawing template. and whether I 'ATTACH' the image OR 'copy and paste' it does not seem to matter... both seem to bring in the image however save it and try opening on a different machine it simply displays the path o the file which is no longer valid of course... I cannot seem to find the correct import method to embed the image into the actual ACAD drawing.... I know with previous years of ACAD this was possible.
I installed CS 6 yesterday. My system runs 64 bit Win 7. In Preferences > Interface, as I did in CS 5, I unchecked both Open Documents as Tabs and Enable Floating Document Window. However, unlike CS 5, in CS 6 images 'insist' on positioning themselves in the upper left corner of CS 6 and will cover both the options bar and the tool bar. For example, this will happen after opening an image if I try to move it or if I enlarge the image window (CTRL-0). If I open two images and try to move one so I can see both at the same time, the one I try to move will not stay where I put it but instead will reposition itself to the upper left, and cover the options bar and menu bar.
this makes working in CS 6 difficult and inconvenient. I assume this is a bug, and wonder if there are any workarounds or other solutions. To this point, I have not yet uninstalled and re-installed CS 6.
And it is totally random. I use a differnt library for every shoot I do (weddings mainly) and sometimes when I edit the image in PS, it comes back fine. But the other times right to the top of the stack in front of the first picture of the day, miles away from the orginal! No ryme or reason. And yes in preferences in external editing I have clicked 'stack with orginal'. this is sucking up alot of my time haiving to reorganizing every picture I take into PS from LR.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn CS6, full screen mode, the image keeps moving up, down or to the side if my cursor gets too close to the edge of the screen. sometimes I'm not even at the edge of the screen but in the middle of the screen, I move the cursor right, the document goes to the left. In the old days the window stayed put unless you used the handtool to move it around. Is it possible to go back to this mode?

View 2 Replies View Relatedcan a watermark stay the same size even when an image size is altered? say if its text and it gets too big when i enlarge the image how do i shrink the watermark ? when it is already merged and flattened as one picture without a separate layer.
such as a php or java script to keep the watermark distinct in a way even in a flattened pic or to select the watermark to erase it and re-apply it in the right font size back onto the resized pic?
I want to do a montage of a load of portraits (which i've cropped from other pics) which are all faded and merged together in a circle and I then want to put a logo on top of it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there is possibly a way to create, modify, or edit the section tags in Revit. I've tried going through Properties> Edit Type to change the size, and type of the tag (or the section head), but i notice there are only seven options, and no way to change the size of them. Is there a Family Type I can edit? Where would I find it? Is there a way to create my own, perhaps, and upload it into my model template?
