View 3 Replies View RelatedAll of the colors when I use brushes always appearance very faded. It takes a couple of layers and 're-clicking' too get the dark color I'm looking for. I've tried re-installing and re-setting default's, but it hasn't seemed to work or I'm doing it wrong. I was wondering if there was a way I could change the default. This is for CS3 Beta BTW.

I have a scanned image. As you can see there is a line that above it the color has faded. IS there a technique / command(s) to restore the faded colors to the ones below the line?

When printing any document through Photoshop CS5, it's printing at about 25% opacity. If we open the file in Preview or Word, it prints just fine! What do I need to change to get PS printing correctly again?
This all started when we downloaded a template offline. My co-worker designed within the template and when she went to print, it was faded. I tried printing a photo from my computer to the same printer quick to troubleshoot what the error might be (low ink, etc...) and my photo printed 100% ok. I then opened the file she designed, tried printing it and it was faded. I then tried printing the photo that printed earlier fine and now it and everything else I print is faded! What in the world changed? We've tried restarting both our machines, restarted PS, deleted and reinstalled the print drivers, etc... But to no avail.
We're printing to just a simple desktop printer, a Canon MP210.
I've been trying to make lines like these to no luck:
I'm aware this can be achieved with the pen tool. Path stroked with a brush with some settings altered. Most likely Fade.
This is where I am so far:
Problems:
I cant get BOTH ends to fade.
A long path wont get fully stroked since the fade happens too soon.
I want the edges of a picture to fade into the background. I know I can use the erase tool to obtain this effect. A friend of mine showed me a few years back a different and somewhat easier/quicker way. She showed me to use the rectangle/elliptical tool and select the area you want to show. Then select inverse. After that use the feather option to round the edges/amount of feathering. My question is what would be the next step? I know there is something else that needs to be done to actually fade the border, but I can't for the life of me remember.

not sure if this was done in photoshop or not but if it were to be, how would one do it?
To me it looks like layers, transparency etc by placing the worn edge on top of any image, just want to be able to create the worn edge in the first place.
ok, I have a quick question, and I am a beginner, sooooo, I was wondering how to take a an image and make it like faded in the background and then put more images in the form of a collage on top of it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with photoshop. Whenever I use the brush, it seems to be faded, and have this sort of faded background over it.
It almost seems as if the 'flow' option is always down, but it is at 100%.
The more I brush over, the darker it gets, but the flow and opacity are on 100%.
Here's a quick screenshot: [URL]
Also, the brush preview box is an odd sepia color?
I think it may have something to do with my color profiles, because every time I open PS, I get the message ' The monitor profile LCD color management and conversion appears to be defective. Please rerun your monitor calibration software.'
I went to my control panel, deleted my color profiles and management, and nothing happened. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
It is frustrating, because I can't just draw a clean line, it always has this fuzzy border. My 'draw' tool works just fine though.
I have a lot of black and white photos and most of them have just got very faded in just a few spots, how can i re color just these faded spots? I have tried to recolor the whole area but but the faded spots are still there !
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave tried this with two images with the same result.
1. Load image
2. Bring up Image Size dialogue.
3. Resize image down using Bicubic Automatic or Sharpen (haven't tried others)
4. Resized image has a faded 1px border all the way round - see attached:
I checked for some anti-aliasing or other setting but can't find one.
This is 100% reproducible and the border is not present in the original image. I'm in XP Pro Sp3.
have a company logo on disk in eps format. It's been used on my website and business cards. I can open the eps file in Word and it's one shade of green, then I compare it to my site and that another.
When I open the eps file in Photoshop, it's yet another shade but this time really washed out. All I want is the web coloured version in a bigger jpg format so I can use in Word docs; copying from the website and enlarging results in too blurry a view.
I've been asked to create a set of photos with a faded background. My boss gave me the attached image as an example. I initially thought it would be fairly easy. I could add a layer mask and a Gaussian Blur. I have successfully faded the edges, but I have only managed to do it with a color fill layer, I can't work out how to get the background transparent without it looking jagged and ugly. I need to effect to look like the attachment.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI receive and update many drawings created by the same organization (using AutoCAD LT 2012). Often, when I plot to PDF, the lettering in the labels becomes faded (like every-other letter within the same word). I have tried all available pen assignments, and many different lineweights and fonts.
