Photoshop :: Level Droppers Turning Image Faded Yellow
Aug 27, 2012I have both CS5 and CS6 Photoshop but the levels droppers in CS6 are making the photos yellow and faded. Do I have a setting wrong?

Apr 4, 2012I have a PNG image with only one layer as a start point. It has a faded map on it.
I have a second PNG image with a hex grid on it. I do colour to Alpha to establish transparency on the hex grid for white filled hexes (others are not filled with white).
Now, I wish to overlay a portion of the first image with the faded map with the non-transparent part of the second image.
So I select by colour (for the hexes not filled with white) on the second image (the overlay) and I then paste to the first image (after creating a transparency layer and selecting it to receive the overlay).
I see the desired overlay section (minus any transparent stuff as expected), however it is centered over the map in the first image, not where I want it to be. It is a floating selection and must be anchored. So I select the anchor icon in the layer dialog and I think I anchor it into the transparency layer on the first image (that's what I'm trying to do anyway).
And then my problem:
I want to move the thing I just pasted in to the right place with respect to the underlying faded map. I attempt to use the move tool, but all I move is the background map (pretty much the opposite of what I want).
Nothing I do seems to let me reselect the pasted-in overlay so that I can move it.
Why I can't ever reposition the pasted in overlay? It should be in the transparency layer I created but even if I select all, I don't seem to be able to move anything other than the background image.

Aug 11, 2012LR 4.1 does not have a stable connection with the CF card. Both when plugged into the internal reader or when external reader is used.
When selecting pictures for the import, the complete screen with thumbnails goes away. A littele later, the screen comes back. The selection is still valid.
Each time the checkmark for pictures to import needs to be checked again.
At the top-left part of the screen you see that the drive-letter drops away, comes back again and the letter changes each time.
In windows explorer nothing unusual happens, drive remains mounted and can be accessed in a normal and stable manner.

I created a second layer and put a yellow region on top of the text I want to highlight. made that layer on top with an opacity of 50. it just does not look right. It kills the black text underneath. How can I make what most simple paint programs do to highlight an area of my screen.

I can get it to have a single color fade but not from white center to red "glow" around the white.

Jun 14, 2006I recently just got Photoshop CS2 and there are some of the simpliest things that I cannot figure out. I use to have Photoshop Elements 4.0 and these things were easy as pie, oh well, hope you can help.
On CS2, I cannot find the selection brush tool anywhere! could someone tell me where it is located. Or if there is a better tool that has "replaced it" and does the same thing?
Also, when I move images into another "box" it isn't giving me the outline of the image where I can easily resize it and turn the image at an angle. Is there something I need to do to make it give me the outline [sorry, I dont know the actual word for what it is called]?

Jun 3, 2013I sent the attached PDF -URL....to print with Sense Creative. The cards were printed and they've turned out quite visibly green on the reverse (where it should be white).
I've printed the artwork on several printers I have access to and it looks as it should, however SC are saying that the issue is with the artwork
"The green tinge you see on the reverse of these cards is prevalent in the artwork. The makeup of the background is approximately c-15 m-11 y-15 k-0. the predominant levels of the yellow and cyan will give you the green tint. Upping the levels of the artwork in or substituting the cyan, magenta and yellow levels with more black in Photoshop will likely give you the result you require. We are satisfied that in both instances, the artwork has printed correctly and the colours are well within tolerance given the nature of the artwork."
So, I'm in a bit of a pickle as the cards are needed for an event next week.How do I change the image levels? Or are they talking nonsense and trying to pass the buck?

May 7, 2013I am trying to adjust the noise level with the level tool but its not working. I move the arrows every which way see that it changes. I get it to were i want it them press ok and it only changes a little bit.
It become what it was in the preview. The level tool works when I add it as a new adjustment layer but I don't want like that I want to be able to copy the new level of noise I just made and can't if I add new adjustment. what should I do to fix this? Jan 20, 2013i just made an outline of a drawing with the pen tool. I finished and i started coloring the image and noticed that the Anti-Aliasing was on during the time i did the outline so now i have a border around where i filled in color that's transparent.

I added an image to a sketch successfully but it cam with a yellow line around it (see attached) and I can't remove it. In the sketch properties I was able to change it's color to black to make less visible but it's still there.

Jan 21, 2013I am trying to make a crack wall texture effect on some text in illustrator cs6.
I have some crack texture photoshop brushes I really like, so I brushed on a blank psd canvas and saved it to PNG with transparent background.
I placed that in illustrator and image traced it so that it would create the paths for the cracked effect, but I can't seem to get it to make the paths for me.
I'm trying to do this so I can use the outlined brushes to erase the text layer with the traced crack png, removing the proper paths from the text layer so the text layer is now transparent where those cracks are.

GIMP :: Creating Image (GIF) By Drawing At Pixel Level
Nov 14, 2012I am using Gimp 2.8.0 but only understand about 5% or less of it. (It is running on Win.7 Hm. Prm., Vsn 6.1, Sp-1.)
How can I define or adjust the pencil tool so it draws at the one pixel size in a new ".gif" work area. (That would be one pixel in the image to one pixel on the screen.) I found how to define the work area in pixels for a ".gif". The predefined pencil tool sizes (chosen by assorted dots) "went away" several versions of Gimp back as far as I know.
The object of this effort is to produce "TrainGifs" for use in other applications. Should you be interested just Google "TrainGifs" and you will be able to check out multiple site for this hobby.
Revit :: Underlay Does Not Show Up For Level 1 When On Level 2
Jun 18, 2013The underlay does not show up for Level 1 when I am on Level 2, but it does show up for Level 2 when I am on Level 1. the underlay option is on for Level 1, so I'm not sure why it's not showing up. I am using Revit 2014.

May 6, 2012I'm using ACAD 2013, and for the first time since I installed it a month or so ago, I opened AutoTrack (by mistake). Now whenever I double click an AutoCAD file, it will automatically open in in AutoTrack, unless I open AutoCAD and open the file that way. It may be a coincidence, but my viewcube has just stopped working, and has become a static, unselectable image - like a fuzzy stamp on my drawing. I can't click or right click on it, and when I zoom, it doesn't stay in the same place at the same size, like it's supposed to.
This was happening when I was using 2012 too, but stopped after I installed 2013. As I said, it has just started up again after I opened AutoTrack by mistake.
