View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a new computer and want to move the databse catalog over. I backed up in PSE 9 to an external hard drive. I connected to HD to the new computer and tried a resotre catalog. I chose "New Location" since I was going from XP to Windows 7 and was unsure if there would be a conflict with file locations. I also chose "Restore Original Floder Strucure". Very quickly I recieve an error message "Could not restor file .xml". I have run Restore Catalog several times and each time a DIFFERENT FILE receives the error message. I then disabled Norton Anti Virus Auto-Protect. I then disabled several programs running in the background. Same problem. I then copied the Backup Catalog to the new computer and tried to Restore it from there. Same Problem. I have now run a Repair Catalog on the original file. PSE states there is no error. I want to purchas PSE 11, but wanted to install/restore the database with the same version 9 first.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to move our firm to using a UCS that aligns with the viewport.
However my hesitation has always been that World does not seem to restore to the original coordinates.
We do survey drafting and the map grid coordinates are critical and we drop in new survey data over the existing on a regular basis.
I tested it again last week but still I cannot insert new data into the same position even after restoring to World UCS. It is consistently about 1.5 units offset from the correct position.
Am I doing something wrong? Should USC World set it back the identical original coordinates such that I could confidently paste with a 0,0 base point and have geometry by in the correct position.
When I hit "Delete" to delete a photo I usually get to choose between deleting original file or remove from Lightroom 5. Just now, am getting message: "The original file can not be deleted because it is missing or on a volume that is offline." I did not delete the original file. How can the file be returned to "online"?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHere is an image of the broken script editor, Maya works fine I cannot figure out how to restore the script editor
I cannot type in it, I cant copy any script or edit anything.
I'm using Maya 2011, it was working fine up until about a week ago and I dont think I made any changes that would have caused this.
I also have a copy of 2008 installed and 2012 installed the script editor works normal in both, all valid copies, no cracks.
I have unistalled and re-installed 2011 several times, replaced preference folders, deleted them, replaced them with my working user preferences in both 2008 and 2012 and no luck, so I dont think it has to do with those files.
I'm in school and we have specific plugin that has not been updated for 2012 so I cannot get my animation tools to work with 2012 until they do an update. (I've tried working around that and moving the plugins but I'm not a hacker/programer/coder so just moving the plug-in to the correct 2012 folder didnt work)
How to restore the script editor to its original state? Uninstall and re-install did not work.
I've been asked to create a set of photos with a faded background. My boss gave me the attached image as an example. I initially thought it would be fairly easy. I could add a layer mask and a Gaussian Blur. I have successfully faded the edges, but I have only managed to do it with a color fill layer, I can't work out how to get the background transparent without it looking jagged and ugly. I need to effect to look like the attachment.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from Civil 3D 2012 to 2013 student version because when I initially installed the program I probably messed up some of the settings that I shouldn't have for my entire application. After reinstalling it, I noticed that the program seems to run just fine but the settings for the original file I'm trying to work with remain, such as label settings, linescales, etc.
I want my drawing to match the settings of new drawings when it comes to labels, scales, and anything else I might have changed. Is there a way to apply these settings to my original file? If not, is there a way to at least make sure the label styles can be reset? I don't want any changes to the settings I made to be present in my file.
by mistake I imported (moved) several AVI and MPEG videos into a specific folder that I inteded to use as backup for one of my relatives.
Problem is that my original folders, where I stored these videos, along with specific names regarding genre and/or subject were left intact, with nothing inside them.
I am trying to find a way to "revert" the import process and send those files back to where they belong.
I'm working on old vacation photos from the '70s (back when I could afford to take vacations). I'm now working on the first of what will probably be several that are faded, but not over the entire image - just parts of it.
I'm doing free selecting and playing with Levels, Curves, and Color Balance, but nothing seems to be working well. I think this is because some colors have faded more than others so there are areas that look purple when they should be brown or a mixture of colors.
Here's an example (which I hope will actually show):
It's not a very interesting photo but it's from my very first trip to Europe so I'd kind of like to make it prettier.
When you select the option to apply any changes & overwrite your original photo does the program attempt to try to a default setting to keep the picture approximately the same size as it was before? (assuming that you haven't cropped it) If it doesn't default to a size automatically can is there an option to do so?
View 4 Replies View Related have a company logo on disk in eps format. It's been used on my website and business cards. I can open the eps file in Word and it's one shade of green, then I compare it to my site and that another.
When I open the eps file in Photoshop, it's yet another shade but this time really washed out. All I want is the web coloured version in a bigger jpg format so I can use in Word docs; copying from the website and enlarging results in too blurry a view.
Bristle brushes have an option near their size sliders named "restore to original size" ... but for some brushes, this option is resetting brushes to another size other than the original size appearing on the brush swacthes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an old photo that I'm trying to clean up but I'm running into problems removing the "grunge" that's accumulated from aging. I don't know what to call it other than "grunge". I want to keep the dark areas that make up the face but the aging is competing with the shadows of his cheek bones and underneath the chin. I'm not sure how to preserve those areas and get a clean background.
I've attached the photo here, drastically reducing the original file size.
When i open the drawing and every time i am zooming in and out the color is getting faded, i am in paper space.
