Once I used Photoshop 7, my Windows XP can review the thumbnail of the .PSD files. I can see the images from the folder and don't need to open them from Photoshop. But after I installed Photoshop CS3, the PSD files can't review in XP folder anymore. The thumbnails are the logo of PSD and I can't see the images without opening the CS3. How can I make PSD file review as the thumbnails in the XP folder?
View 2 RepliesI created a layout for a gravestone in Corel. I sent it to someone who also uses corel draw x4 and corel is changing the font in my drawing. I used fonts Ariel and Palatino Linotype. I don't know if the Palatino is a defaulted font in corel or I downloaded online. I have been doing this kind of work for awhile so I can't remember. I ended up telling her the font and font size for the text and she created it. Then she emailed it back to me for review as I was looking at the email of her printscreens the lines of text had more space between each text line and the dates had more space between them.
She even went so far as to do printscreens of them to review and they don't seem correct. I don't know if this info is useful but I printed from corel and they are priting correctly (line spacing correct, text good). why is corel wanting to change the font. Almost forgot the font corel was changing to was HP PSG which is a font I have in my list of fonts in corel. And it isn't just tjhis file. I created a one line text with a different font and sure enough she told me corel wanted to change the font again. I don't know if it was changing it to HP PSG. I wonder what would it change it to if I remove HP PSG. How do you remove a font from the list??
Have just transferred photos from old to new computer. Photos transferred OK but folder names did not. It would save a lot of work if folder names could be transferred as well. Running Photoshop 11 and Windows 8.1.

I store all my photos in the directories under the public pictures folder, (C:Users Public Pictures) rather than in my pictures folder in my documents. I do this so that all the users on the system can get to the pictures.
I'm having problems getting Paint Shop Pro to recognize the folder correctly. I have added the c:users public pictures folder to the organizer using the Browse More Folders action and it shows up. However, the Smart Collections don't see any of the files in the folders under this dir.
My overall goal here is to be able to use the timeline feature on all my photos at once, so I want to get all of the photos into the All Pictures smart collection.
I am creating lots of tool presets. Considering I could want to format my computer, in which Windows folder are "tool presets" stored in order to make a backup of them? I am supposing that in a new GIMP installation I could copy the saved tool presets to the correct folder and all my presets will be load, without the need to recreate all toll presets again. I
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can not remember to have encountered this before, so here I go: I just created a virtual copy of some photos from my summer holiday, and all works well. But when I needed to access these photos going the Windows' way (Windows/My Pictures that is), the virtual copies do not appear in my YYYYMM folder. Going back to LR though, they will appear there with a /Copy 1 extension. RIghtclicking the VC, then "Show in Explorer" will highlight the original in the folder, the VC still not being there. Part of the frustration is that I can not remember this happening before (or maybe it has), so I'm wondering if I by accident have changed any settings.
Running LR 4.1 on Windows 7 64-bit.

When I hit print and go to print preview, all my images are turned on end which makes review difficult. Is there a way to view them as they should be, landscape. In Lightroom, everything is set to landscape and in the printer module, it is all set to landscape. Just in print preview, they are turned on end.

I saved in a collection set of 4 series of photos that I'll present one by one as separate works, and all of them all togeher are been exported in a new separate catalog.
The photos are named with a custom model which is: data_workname_sequencenumber.DNG
The problem is that I'd like to present the pics in every series in a particular sort order that is NOT related to the star, flag, rate, label, date, filename or whatever other criteria that LR is usually able to sort by. And, far more important, I need to keep the pics in the entire catalog separated by series, I don't want to mess with the series (e.g. pictures of Paris must stay together, and so on, ... at the moment they follow in a filename or date order which does NOT correspond to the wanted order).
I will play the sequence manually full screen (Ctrl+F command) as the portfolio will be as one to one discussion.
Is there a way to automate repetitive actions such as file size and file saving to the same folder?

Sometimes (like in the morning after boot-up) it's ok, but other times (like in the evening) there is dysfunction and corruption. Is it a bug ? I can add data, and I see it onto my section views but I cant view it again in the dialog. In example, I add a profile at 11 m. using markers and i see it. If I come back to the dialog to add or delete data related I see nothing....
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the Temp File folder. I know that photoshop cs4 uses a lot of scratch disk space and I have about 250 gbs of free space on the hard drive. I am working with very large files that exceed 4GBs at times and the free space on the hard drive is alway diminishing. Should i delete the temp files or is there a way to set how much data gets stored in the folder? Another question is, should i assign other drives for scratch disk space? i have 3 other hard drives but they are not as fast as the system hd. and if you have tips on tuning the computer for better performance would be greatly appreciated. How do I get my photos from Elemtnts 11 into a file folder. I am trying to use Blurb to make a travel book but because of the number of photos I have them in groups and want them to stay in groups for the book. View 2 Replies View RelatedToday as a precautionary measure I downloaded the Adobe font test to do a scan on my fonts to see if any is corrupt. The test showed that all my fonts passed. 3 questions though:
1. Does the script work with photoshop CC?
2. Could I just delete the font test jsx file from the folder when I am done with the test? Or should I keep it there?
3. During the initial process, I was unable to proceed and got an error message "failed to get path for font cache files". As such I unticked the clear font caches to proceed. Would this have affected the results?
