Is it a bug ? I can add data, and I see it onto my section views but I cant view it again in the dialog. In example, I add a profile at 11 m. using markers and i see it. If I come back to the dialog to add or delete data related I see nothing....
View 3 RepliesIs there a way to project just one feature line (or anything appropiate...polyline, 3d poly etc) into the sections group or profiles ?
The thing is that Projection tool, labels everything that's a Block, Point, 3d poly ...etc to the sections group.
And it puts all labels in the same layer.

How do I get my finished grade on ALL my cross-sections at once? I'm getting the existing grade for both section 1 and section 2 grade in the band.

Unfortunately, in a number of section views pipes are not shown in full height because the section view level range is too little. What I am wondering is - is it possible to automatically adjust section level ranges so that they fully include pipe sections? Please see also the image in the attachment.

For example it changs from 1:150 to 1:150_1
Then in section sheets scetions views are not displaying correctly.
When i change view port scale manually it shows correctly.But it should do to all sheets.
What should I do?

In my section editor my labels show up correctly and in all the locations I want. But then, in my cross section file, I look in my section views and they are completely different. When I try to label more points under the Code Set Styles, they won't even show up on my section views.

How do I add the corridor section to my existing cross-section in the section views?
I can view them in the corridor section editor. But I should also be able to add the corridor section to my section views, right?
To plot them, do I NEED to do this through Sheets Sets? I don't have experience with sheet sets yet.
I don't use Civil 3D often enough anymore. Still learning much about the new interface and pulling a design together.
Why do profile grade markers always reset in section views? This has to have been a wish list item. lsp or software to populate these? I heard in 2014 they still disappear.

I made a bunch of cross sections of an EG surface and want to define an elevation label at each significant grade break. I see an option to weed by distance but no option that would allow me to place a label at where the slope changes by more than a certain percent.
I found this old thread from three years ago and the best solution to come out of it was deleting individual labels.

I was laying out a vertical curve in the roadway profile. I have a vertical curve of 100' in length, however immediately after that it shows a grade break. I do not want this grade break in my profile, I simply want a vertical curve with two grades on the left and right sides. How can I get 2009 C3D to remove the grade breaks? It would be very uncomfortable for someone to have to drive over these in the real world.

But I don't know how to automatically adjust for the vertical exaggeration without having to have a separate expression for all possible situations.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhat I would like to achieve is a section band style for bulk earthworks and simple access roads that shows the design level at Grade Breaks only. The problem I am having is that Grade Breaks are being recognised as where the sample line crosses a triangle, not where the the grade actually changes/crosses a feature line.
A have a number of simple platforms, that I have created using an infill from feature lines, usually these platforms are surrounded entirely by feature lines of the same height. As to be expected, Civil 3d creates a few flat triangles, and as a consequence, all of the points where the sample line crosses these show up on my band style. Is there any way to achieve this band style?
I am wondering why the maximum hydraulic gradline in my profile plot is not matching the maximum hydraulic grade levels reported in the report or excel spread sheets.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have 3 profiles that I've superimposed together. Then I created sheets using the superimposed profile. I used the wizard and had Civil 3d do it for me (2012). Now I have to add a 4th profile to the mix and get it to show in my profile views that have already been cut. The data is shortcut into the drawing with my cut profiles views. How do I get it to be in the cut profile views without re cutting everything?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create section views to track beach erosion. I have created an alignment and sample lines successfully. The shorter sections look as they should. The longer sections are a mirror of themselves (ex: a section that should be 529' in length is drawn as 1058'). Is this a matter of needing to create a corridor and going the other processes that normally have to be done for a road or is there something else I am missing here?

automatically I can create over 500 section views, no problem there,but then I want to plot these 500 section views to a png file,and to do that I need to get all of them in separated layouts, for which there also is an automated function but its stops at 255 layouts,I've done 4 km in split up drawings..I've got 40km left no option splitting it up in 1 km sections.
I can get all of the same section views on the same page. I'm using sample line group

I've experimented with the section plane tools in the 3D modeling workspace but I can't get a section view. I suspect it is because they don't work with C3D surface objects. Any workflow for this task? Ultimately I need to generate hard copies of the views for the architect to use for his landscape plans.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI created a base drawing for sections that references an alignment. I xrefed in the drawing where my corridor was created. When I create the section views, the corridor shows up perfectly.
I then created a blank sheet and xrefed in my section view base drawing.In this sheet drawing, only parts of the corridors are visible.I have a C&G on one assembly and a shoulder on another assembly that aren't visible. (see pics)The first pic is my section base drawing.
I have to represent a road section with limits of houses or any interference on field. All of thees interferences are poly lines, 3dpoly, lines, etc. Is it possible to have a little mark or something like this in a road section, it will work for me a lot for represent the houses in my sections.

I am doing public works type project. A simple road widening project. I created an alignment, surface, profile view and basic road assembly (from tool palettes) and corridor.
I created a corridor and referenced it to my "profile view", "alignment" and to "basic road" assembly. When I created section views, it shows only existing grade based on the surface and the basic road assembly is not showing on my sections. I can't figure out how to do it.
