View 1 RepliesFor a poster design I have a smart object that has been warped and transformed in delightful ways so it looks like it's on the cover of an old warped book. I had to change the smart object to siut my "client" (I'm doing it as a favour) and now it doesn't look right.
QUESION: how do I return this transformed and warped smart object back to its original pixels, so that it looks just like it does when I edit the smart object separately.
How can I get my gimp windows to return to their original size - they are very large and remain that way? Shrink wrap only only holds while working on the image, then large again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have not used AC for 3d drawings in years. But I do a lot of 2d in AC2012. Yesterday, I was killing time and took a look at some of the 3d capabilities while in an existing drawing. I inserted a few 3d objects, but I eventually deleted them. Now I notice that the UCS icon has become the 3d UCS, and my snaps no longer function as expected. Is there some way to purge the 3d info and return the drawing to it's original 2d functions?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI drop multiple photos into Photoshop then drag one at a time away from the tab bar in order to place these photos onto one layered image. I can do this but the photo I have dragged down remains positioned where i dragged it to and cant be freely moved to another part of the screen. It springs back like its on a rubber band. This is a problem when I wish to close the floating window and don't have the top right close button visible.
I have to return it to the tab top bar in order to open it then close the window. I previous versions of PS this was not a problem and now requires all these extra steps to solve. Its very frustrating when I have to work like this all day. I have PS CS6 on MS WIN7. Is there a preference selection I can make. I want to make photoshop windows behave like MS windows and remain where I drag them to.
URL....I am using PSE 12 as a photo editor for Aperture 3.5.1 and the photo is duplicated (as a tiff) in Aperture and PSE editor opens with the image. When I close the file and say to save the file it brings up the save as window.
Â
I tell PSE 12 to "on first save -- save over current file" it now brings up the "save as" window and won't save over the file (changes the file type from .tiff to .tif)
When you select the option to apply any changes & overwrite your original photo does the program attempt to try to a default setting to keep the picture approximately the same size as it was before? (assuming that you haven't cropped it) If it doesn't default to a size automatically can is there an option to do so?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got another 3D question today. Why is it that when I create planes in Vanishing Point (in this case, 2 walls and a floor) and check off "Render Grids to Photoshop" and "Return 3D Layer to Photoshop" that the grids and planes almost never line up with each other? Is it something I'm doing wrong in VP?

Some may already know that I'm a designer/illustrator/digital artist that is frequently building 2D/3D room settings for a client, and always looking for the quickest and most efficient way to achieve accurate perspective within the rooms.
I recently purchased Photoshop CS3 Windows and installed it without problems. Upon launching PS for the first time,I was asked to enter the key or choose the 30 day trial. Activation completed successfully when I entered the key. I heard that you need to deactivate the license before moving to another PC so I went to the help menu and there is no deactivate option, only 'return e-license' and 'download e-license' options. The version on the disc is the extended edition, though the box does not mention this, so I am worried it may not be genuine. I am using XP x64 edition.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using the following -
Trial Version of Photoshop CS4 Extended
Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5800(2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache)
3 GB DDR2
240 GB free disk space
Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD
The problem I have is when I hit "enter" or "shift+enter" to create a new line of text it doesn't work. Instead it closes the text box.
adding text to an image.... No matter what text type, style or font I use, when I'm done with one line and carriage return to the next, the cursor doesn't go completely below the first line and the second line letters are typing half way into the line above it. What I'm having to do is hit reutrn twice. I'm assuming that this is a setting somewhere that I have accidentally enabled or disabled. I believe it's a setting in CS2 because I've opened a Word document and the return works there (I was thinking it was a setting on my machine, but this only happens with CS2).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using the 3D functions of CS6 and I noticed a bunch of options either moved around or removed completely. Well, more likely is that I'm just not able to find them. Anyway, one of the functions I have not yet been able to find is the "Return to Initial Camera Position" button. It used to appear in the control panel but not anymore.
In order to get the object and camera back to their initial position I could just go into the history panel and back up to when I first opened the object but that kind of defeats the purpose.
Type tool quits after return/enter in stead of start a new line. How to fix it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded to CS3 from CS1,
When using the text tool in CS1, shift+enter would give you a new line within the existing paragraph (I believe it's called a soft return?), so it keeps the leading but doesn't add the "space after paragraph". In CS3 this doesn't work and it's really screwing with my ability to create decent web page mockups.
I need to enter text using the Type Tool and include carriage returns (I want to choose where to break the line, as opposed to having the program make that decision). At this point I am entering each line as a separate layer. Is there some way to enter my own carriage returns without creating a separate layer for each line? I am using Photoshop 9 on a PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I want to edit most shots in a folder, how do I save the new changes in a photo, then return directly to the file and continue with the next picture? Now, I do changes, hit "done" and then can't figure out how to get back.Â
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just installed my newly purchased PSC5 extended software. When I try to use the ACR it will load and I can use it but when I try to open, save or cancel my image I cannot. This is because the ACR window is too 'long' for my Sony desktop window and the buttons I am trying to access are in the 'shadow' of the desktop window. When I try to resize the ACR window to access the buttons it will let me adjust it on the vertical window edges but not on the horizontal window edges. I have to reboot the laptop to do anything at all.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhile I most definitely love the addition of "alt-right-click-drag" for resizing the brush in CS6 Liquify , I must say I greatly feel the loss "alt-mouse-wheel" for zooming in and out.
Â
(Alt-mouse-wheel is much better than ctrl-left-click zooming because you didn't have to go down to the zoom pop-up or ctrl-right-click to bring up the zoom dialog to go back to 100% or fit image.)
Â
If it was brought back, then brush resizing and zooming in and out is all under the Alt key -
I often make a photo into a Smart Object within my file and then resize my file smaller for web. That way I can keep a copy of my original photo at full size but apply color correction, sharpening etc at the web size.
Â
So lets say the image dimensions are 300px wide but that file holds a smart object that is much larger. Is there an easy way to return the file to the larger size without losing my color adjustment layers etc?
Â
I know I can just make it larger but I want to return to the exact size of the smart object without having to open said smart object, record the size and then go back and enter it.
I have a Mac, OSX 10.8.2, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Photoshop CS5. My crop tool worked for years, then all of a sudden when I crop a photo, hit return, the image goes black. I even reinstalled the application.

In elements 11, I'm returned to the beginning of the folder in which the image is stored. Is there any way to return to the thumbnail I started with when I went to full screen?Â
View 2 Replies View Related1. What does this metadata phrase mean: "Return light detected, compulsory mode?" The specific image matters little but I am looking at one taken with a Nikon D700 and a SB900 flash bounced from an umbrella with the unit connected to the camera with a SC28 cable.
2. Is there a reference source for the properties in the metadata fields?
I used to use the 'back' button all the time in my old windows version of PSE organiser. I have now bought PSE 11 for my new macbook and finding that all the reasons I wanted to use PSE organiser rather than iPhoto are fast evaporating with this version. One of them is the 'back' button. If I scroll down down down a long way and find a particular photo and then deliberately or even accidentally, change the view to see data (that incidentally I used to be able to see in the same view on the info side pane such as folder location ....) then I lose my place in the media display and cant get back there like I used to. and have to hunt for the photo again. Similarly when I select a tag to display the selection containing that tag and then want to return to the previous main media display I return to the top, rather than wherever I had progressed to. This didn't happen in my old windows version. I cant understand why the developers would think it was a great idea to remove this facility, but I cant find it. It was invaluable when I was going back through the catalogue to old photos and adding tags or other info.

I have a number like 4534.3245
If I say
4534.3245 as Integer
I get 4534Â thats fine.
Is there an easy way in maxscript to return the number after the decimal only no matter what it is? like saying: 4534.3245 as fraction returns .3245?
With the numbers I am dealing with the integer part could be any size and fraction decimal section could be any size so I am hoping for a general rule or method for getting that after decimal number.
when I try things like formattedprint there is a rounding off happening changing it to .3245 to .3247 and more digits added etc but I dont want all that because it is changing the value of the number before I have even done anything with it. Maybe their is a formattedprint method but I am not seeing it.
As a new user I really prefer the single window mode but have a real problem in that every time I open a filter the window/box that open opens up underneath the single window and I cant see it without minimising the main gimp window. I've played with the preferences windows management options and seem to have all the file options curves etc on top now (these were opening under the single window at one point) but nothing I do seems to want to make the filter boxes open where I can see them - It's making GIMP quite unpleasant to use.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI modified a Window Family file by adding a Window inset parameter. When I inserted the window into a wall, otherwise the window worked fine, but when I changed the window's Window Inset value, the frame depth changed instead of the frame's location. The frame was originally made by Sweep tool, but now when I made it by Extrusion tool, the window works fine. Anyway, for future purposes, I would like to know how to be able to use the Window Inset parameter with a frame made by Sweep tool. How do I lock the depth of the frame sweep?

The file is attached.
