Photoshop :: CS6 3D Return To Initial Camera Position
Oct 29, 2012
I am using the 3D functions of CS6 and I noticed a bunch of options either moved around or removed completely. Well, more likely is that I'm just not able to find them. Anyway, one of the functions I have not yet been able to find is the "Return to Initial Camera Position" button. It used to appear in the control panel but not anymore.
In order to get the object and camera back to their initial position I could just go into the history panel and back up to when I first opened the object but that kind of defeats the purpose.
i gotta deliver some drawings. Problem is that when i move/copy/etc any Mtext/Multileader/Dimension in Autocad 2011 LT the text "thickens".
I googled the problem at first and found out that for the Mtext, i needed to set Z positition/Elevation to 0, in order for the text to return to normal. What i gotta do to fix the dimensions and multileaders.
I'm in Photoshop CC 3D, and I have a simple scene with one complex object. I can't find any way to move the position of the camera beyond the default positions, like top, front, back. I can do it CS6, but I can't do it in CC. I can rotate the object, but I want to keep the object where it is. I want to move the camera.
For some reason, the camera pivot has changed..Whenever I set it to anything, it keeps going back to the stupid configuration of being 5 meters away from my plot... which means the slightest rotation makes me lose the view.
I tried using the navigation the navigation wheel's "center", but it sets it in two dimensions of the projection's plot on my screen, which is not enough.
And I tried the command alias "3DO", but every time I do it, it works only once... and for some reason the camera pivot gets lost again on the next move.
how to change the camera pivot position by entering it somewhere like (0,0,0).
Is it possible to setup a block so that an attribute position remaines fixed (absolute to drawing) when moving the block?
I've been playing around with creating a Coordinate Block by following these instructions: [URL] ........
What I would like is to be able to set the position of the Coordinate Label and Coordinate Object independently, so that if I move one in the drawing, it doesn't move the other. I've looked into Dynamic Blocks, and the "Lock Position" parameter. I can move the attribute independently, but still everytime I move the block, the attribute moves too.
Our company uses a custom Sheet/Coordinate system to follow flyoffs across a drawing, and I'm trying to learn how to automate the process. It's completely manually right now, so any changes to a drawing creates a lot of work renumbering these flyoffs.
When I start CS4 (32bit) Extended it says Stonehenge and "DEV" at the end. Is this some sort of pre-release version? Or, am I running the proper production version that I purchased?
After opening CS4 (32bit) Extended most of the file menu is dimmed. I cannot even do a File < Open. I can use bridge to open a file and this problem clears up for subsequent File menu issues. What is going on here?
Turning on and off the eye in the layers pallet has no effect on the image until I click on image. Is this a new feature? If it is, it is a crazy new feature. How do you turn it off?
3rd party plug-ins are problematic in the 32 bit version. In the 64 bit version they just show up. I guess that is to be expected though.
How can I move both handles symmetrically after the initial point is set? Â pen tool: Â 1) drop a point 2) drop another point and drag (both handles move symmetrically in distance from point and angle) 3) finish your shape 4) switch to Direct Selection Tool 5) select one of the new points and move the handles (angle changes but distance from does not) Â Here's a quick vid
[URL].........  I run in to this all the time. I'll quickly set top of a curve, make a mistake and then want to go back and symmetrically extended both handles. Right now I have to set the distance on each side independently and it's never perfectly symmetrical again.
I am running the latest version of PS CC on a MacBook Pro OS 10.8.5 with 16GB of ram. When I started my computer this morning an update from Adobe came up so I ran it. Now the move tool and the free transform function are not working. Literally nothing happens when I click drag with the move tool and when I try to use free transform I get an error message I've never seen:  "Could not transform because the initial bounding rectangle is empty.."
I was working on this computer last night using PS on the exact same files and did not run into this problem. Perhaps it was something in the update I ran this morning? The description for the update claimed it added a new version of Camera Raw and added new camera profiles. I don't see how, but its possible that the update effected the way the tools work, or in my case not work.
I made an initial selection of a person and selected Refine Edge. I simply want to take the person from his current location and place him somewhere else.
1. Are there any general guidelines for how much feather to add? 2. What about for Radius? 3. And Smooth?
I'm playing with the sliders, though I'm wondering if there is a range that I should try staying within for best results?
I've got CS3 and working on a document. I'm typing in text but nothing is coming up on my document. The cursor is not flashing but the text I've written is shown as a layer.
I tried selecting Free Transform and I'm getting the message:
"Could not transform because the initial bounding rectangle is empty"
I've got another 3D question today. Why is it that when I create planes in Vanishing Point (in this case, 2 walls and a floor) and check off "Render Grids to Photoshop" and "Return 3D Layer to Photoshop" that the grids and planes almost never line up with each other? Is it something I'm doing wrong in VP? Â Some may already know that I'm a designer/illustrator/digital artist that is frequently building 2D/3D room settings for a client, and always looking for the quickest and most efficient way to achieve accurate perspective within the rooms.
I recently purchased Photoshop CS3 Windows and installed it without problems. Upon launching PS for the first time,I was asked to enter the key or choose the 30 day trial. Activation completed successfully when I entered the key. I heard that you need to deactivate the license before moving to another PC so I went to the help menu and there is no deactivate option, only 'return e-license' and 'download e-license' options. The version on the disc is the extended edition, though the box does not mention this, so I am worried it may not be genuine. I am using XP x64 edition.
Drawings are only plotting the first viewport inserted into paperspace, and will only plot live paperspace work if there are no viewports at all... this is a new problem, but has hit an entire set of drawings!
Trial Version of Photoshop CS4 Extended Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5800(2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache) 3 GB DDR2 240 GB free disk space Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD
The problem I have is when I hit "enter" or "shift+enter" to create a new line of text it doesn't work. Instead it closes the text box.
adding text to an image.... No matter what text type, style or font I use, when I'm done with one line and carriage return to the next, the cursor doesn't go completely below the first line and the second line letters are typing half way into the line above it. What I'm having to do is hit reutrn twice. I'm assuming that this is a setting somewhere that I have accidentally enabled or disabled. I believe it's a setting in CS2 because I've opened a Word document and the return works there (I was thinking it was a setting on my machine, but this only happens with CS2).
When opening a drawing, since I've installed 2013, I don't have an initial view or preview of the drawings I'm selecting. In the open box, the "Initial View" or "Select initial view is unchecked and won't let me put a check mark in so I can review the drawing before opening.
After installing all products within Building Design Suite Ultimate 2013 and/or Infrastructure Design Suite Ultimate 2013 I try to open AutoCAD 2013 and get the attached screen. It just grinds and try to open but always shows "not responding". I've read posts that suggest uninstalling and re-installing. I've done this several times. I've used the Microsoft Fix-It engine to completely erase from the PC. I have even just installed the AutoCAD portion and it will not open. Each time I reinstall it asks me to supply all proper credentials, product code, etc. It shows green check marks so I know my codes are correct.
I've tried opening other programs and the only successful one is Revit. Am I to point the start-up of the programs to the licenses or something.Â
I am using Revit 2013 and I am rendering in the Cloud and my renderings are not turning out as well as I want them to. I was wondering what the intial settings under the graphics should be? like what shadows I should use? how high the exposure should be? Even when I turn the sun completely off the sun still shows through the windows. My renderings are also showing up grainy.
Basically I am following a tutorial which says that when you create a loft from a path and two shapes, the loft should still be linked to the shapes, so if you resize one, the loft would change, but that is not happening for me. I am using 2014 so I don't know if this feature has changed, or if you access it in a different way?
When you create your own template part file and change the "Initial View Extents" setting in Document Settings on the Modelling Tab. Does this affect the behavior of the initial view extents when re-opening a part file created from this template?
FYI - I recently created a new template part file so that the sketch gridline spacing was more relevant to the size of parts I create. I like to use gridlines while in sketch mode because it is a good visual indicator that I'm in sketch mode. On opening a new part file that referenced to my new template, I noticed that the initial view extents meant only a couple of gridlines were visible due to the zoom level. I therefore tweaked my template file by increasing the initial view extents by a factor of 4 (400mm x 200mm).Â
The problem now is when opening a part file created from this template, the zoom level seems to snap to the customised view extents and not to the physical extents of the part. Right clicking the View Cube and re-setting the "Fit to View" has no effect. This feature seems broken now that I use modified initial view extents.
I'm working on a FEA of a climbing carabiner (oval-shaped; one side of the oval is a gate which opens and closes allowing a rope into the carabiner).
The gate of the 'biner has a hook which attaches to the "nose" of mainbody/biner. Â However, this hook does not engage until the biner slightly deforms.
I've attempted to use the separation/no sliding contact option, but the solver behaves as if there is no contact occuring. Â The nose simply passes right through the gate hook.
The initial gap of the system is about 0.040". Â That means the nose must deflect 0.040" before the contact surface comes into play.
Is there a way to make it, by default, place opened SVG files on an artboat that is positioned at {x: 0, x: 0}? Â I'm using [URL] to generate shapes for usage with EaselJS, but this extension makes it's calculations based on the document not artboard. Right now when I open SVG files they get centered in the document workspace which skews calculations using Drawscript. Â If I copy the SVG and then paste it in a new document it works (because new documents appear to place the initial artboard at {x: 0, y: 0}), but I don't want to have to do that for the 400+ SVG's that I need to use the extension with.
I often use the export option "Choose folder later". When using this preset, however, the initial folder it navigates to upon clicking export keeps defaulting back to a library folder that I don't want exports going to. How do I change the initial folder on this export so it's the root photos folder, or desktop, etc?
Is there an easy way to ensure that the position of attributes on a block match the position on another block?
I just used the ATTIN command to upload a bunch of data to the block attributes on a drawing, and now the information is all over the place.
Instead of going through each one manually and repositioning the attributes (a VERY lengthy process), I want to use a "correct" version as a template of sorts to inform the other selected blocks of where to place the attributes and have it reposition the whole thing automatically.
