Photoshop :: How To Reactivate CS2 On Home Computer
Apr 19, 2013
My home computer hard drive crashed, so I can't deactivate the copy of CS2 that was installed on it. Since I still need the original CS2 on my work computer, how can I reactivate the copy of CS2 on my home computer?
I upgraded my system hard drive to an SSD. Before imaging my C: drive I decided to deactivate Photoshop just in case something terrible happened. After restoring the system image to my new SSD, the computer booted Windows7 and all seemed well.  My problem is that when I try to run Photoshop it immediately closes. It does not give me the opportunity to reactivate. Do I have to reinstall CS5?
I recently had to reinstall OS X 10.7.4 because 10.8 will not run on my Mac. After the reinstall, Photoshop cannot find any licenses and does not offer me any way to re-enter my registration key.How can I get it to recognize the key or remove it entirely for a reinstall?
My boot drive has a bad block for the 2nd time in 6 months, so I'm going to replace. I will be cloning the drive via Mac Disk Utility to the replacement drive.
I don't want to waste any Activations, so do I DE activate prior to cloning and then Re activate after replacing the new drive? I assume this will count as only one Activation on one machine? Â BTW, Adobe chat seemed clueless about this.
I have CS5 installed on a desktop computer that crashed and I can't get it working to deactivate CS5. I am going to purchase a new desktop and would like to install CS5 on the new computer, but it was already installed on two computers (desktop and laptop) so no activations are left. I have the Disk and serial number.
Photo Deluxe Home Edition 4.0 - This program will no longer boot up on my computer. Worked fine until I connected my PC to the internet. Occasionally I get a message about launching 16 bit plugins.
Our home network is a Vista PC with an Epson 2880 printer attached to the Vista PC. My wife's XP PC connects through our simple network and prints on the Epson printed by going through my computer. Simple set up, no problems. We both use CS4, set so CS4 manages color, correct Epson paper profile, printer color management off, all the correct settings. Both our monitors are color corrected with Spyder3. When she prints from her computer every picture has a magenta cast. Even more strange is when I copy the same picture onto my PC and open it in my copy of CS4 the picture looks normal but CS4 will not print it. CS4 says I do not have a printer attached. I can open any other picture in the same CS4 session and print with no problems. Every time I try to print a picture that she printed CS4 says there is no printer. This occurs even when I have copied the picture onto my computer and opened it on my computer. I have tried renaming the picture and even changing the format to TIFF or JPEG but CS4 still refuses to print it. I can open a new blank document and use the move tool to move the picture onto the blank document, At this point I can print from CS4 normally AND the picture will not have any color cast?
I would like to set up an inexpensive Color Management workflow for my home.
My scanner is Microtek 4800.
Monitor is a Dell M992 hooked up to a Dell XPS w/ Windows XP Pro.
The printer is an Epson Stylus PHOTO 925.
My main goal is to refurbish/repair damaged photos/images.
For example, I would like to take an old picture, scan it, retouch and repair it using Photoshop CS, then print it to Photo-quality paper on my Epson.
It seems most calibration tools are expensive.
using Adobe Gamma to calibrate my Monitor. Do I really need to calibrate or profile my scanner and printer? Or can I merely use my scanner w/ no presets, adjust the image in PS, then set my printer driver to "do not color manage"?
is there a way to calibrate/profile my system that is not too expensive?
I started a new computer with LR5, and it runs fine. But, when I imported my pics from a previous computer running LR4, all the pics loaded into the new LR without any tags or processing. How can I get that info without having ot reprocess thousands of pictures?
For some reason when I open the application the main screen appears inverted with the workspace as gray instead of white and the toolbar inverted from white icons on black background to white icons on black background.Â
Can't find what I did to create the change. How do I restore the default?
I am trying to install an old Photoshop CS Ver.8 on my new Windows 7 Home Premium OS but it tells me it's a trial Version?? It installs perfectly and works fine but informs me it is good for only 29 more days?? I bought this program new years ago. I have installed earlier versions in case it needs previous DLL's but that didn't work.Â
Long time PS user with no real problems until now. CS2 works for a while but then suddenly my drop down menus (file, edit, image etc) will not drop down.
I can still edit the images I'm working on with the tools palette but can't save my work, nor can I use any drop down menus (even help, window and view). If I then try to close PS it sits there and essencially crashes and I have to close it via task manager.
I'm looking to purchase a new PC that runs the 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium. I'm wondering if my older programs, Premiere Pro 1.5, Photoshop 7, and Dreamweaver MX 2004 will run in the new system.
How do I add a border around the entire home page,
This CSS style sheet is part of the original 5-page site template. I am actually using only the first page of this template (with various sections from the other pages incorporated into this home page). Does the CSS style sheet actually apply also to this 1-page modified template?
I am designing a Flyer, (PDF) in Photoshop and that will not be going for printing company but printed in a University in UK. What DPI / PPI? Normally for web i use 72 and for Printing company i use 300. But for home printing, i don't know.
Secondly, what about color. Will CMYK be good for home printing. I don't know exactly what printer it is going to be.
My question is, whether Photo Deluxe can be run only with admin privileges or as standard user, too. A customer of ours uses this program and cannot start it without admin privileges. If logged in as standard user the pd4.exe just doesn't react in any way. No failure, nothing. Executing right is set, so it should work.
I have a home network with windows 7 on a desktop and laptop. Adobe Elements 9 works fine on the desktop but when i try to print from the laptop a box appears saying 'could not complete your request because an error occured while printing' All other programs print fine from the laptop, Paint, Word, PDFs. Have uninstalled and cleaned registry before reinstalling, But still cant print with Adobe.
This happens repeatedly as I open the program and attempt to open a file. The "open file" dialog box flashes for a split second then disappears and the Photoshop program freezes up.
Just wanted to know if there are any problems installing Adobe Photoshop CS5 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit? Â Planning to purchase a laptop that comes with the OEM license and plan to use 64-bit OS to maximize the 8GB RAM of memory. Just afraid if there are known issues for this type of installations.
I have converted old Family movies to DVD and am trying to download into Photoshop to edit and burn copys can this be done? Try to get done before christmas for family gifts.
I transferred all my photo files from my Old XP PC where i used PSE 5.0 to my New Windows 8 computer and then loaded my new PSE 11 program in...All my JPEG files work but all my sony home video files that used to work on PSE 5.0 no longer have their pictures with their sound..And some off them even have music files running in behind the video sound files.Â
I managed to move the home screen on my Mac to the left but now it will not return to centre, so that I can access the controls. A two fingered drag does not seem to work.
So, I have been learning how to customize the CUI. I have gotten as far as adding and arranging commands on the existing panels. Next, I added a new panel and added commands to the new panel. Then I dragged and dropped it onto the Home tab. But no new panel. I seem to have missed a step in getting the new panel recognized as being on the Home tab.
So, once you have created a new panel, is there a command in the CUI to activate the new panel?
I am trying to add windows to the home I am designing. The glass should be in the middle of the wall cavity, but I don't know how to put it there. I have added windows from the "Fixed.rfa" family, but I can't get the glass to be in the center of the wall.
The image above is the window as it has currently been placed with the glass on the exterior (not middle).
I have lost my "Home Tab" at the top of my screen and cannot get it back up. the tab that offers the Home, Insert, Annotate, Render, View, Manage, etc.
I have gone through the suggested "restore the default home view" and nothing happens.
I'm trying to make a DVD that shows different products video's. It's for in our shop, so people can see the products on a screen.
I have downloaded the Trial version of Corel VideoStudio 6, because this should have options to make a good menu. I've followed the following steps:
1. Create a New DVD.
2. Imported the different video's from the different products (it are just short video's). It's Step 1 in the DVD creation menu.
3. Went to NEXT, where I hade the options to make choose and edit a menu. I've changed it a bit with my own background and some other things and it looks great. I have 12 pages now.
But now I'm stuck. I've tried to find out via youtube video's and internet, but I'm not sure if this is possible:I would like to have a main menu that shows up when the DVD is played. On this menu I would like to have 2 options;
1. Play all scènes, so all the scenes will be played after each other.
2. Select a scene, where you can just choose the scene you would like to see and afther that scene you have to choose another one (so it doesn't play further automatically).
I did a complete uninstall of GIMP 2.6. Then a complete install of GIMP 2.8. No errors during installation. When I run GIMP, Windows draws a window frame with the title "GIMP Startup" but the inside of the window remains unpainted (whatever was behind it remains visible). This window frame exists for maybe one second and then closes. I have waited a long time but nothing continues. Task Manager confirms that no application is running. I uninstalled, downloaded again, reinstalled (even just a "compact" installation), but same thing.
