I managed to move the home screen on my Mac to the left but now it will not return to centre, so that I can access the controls. A two fingered drag does not seem to work.
View 2 RepliesI transferred all my photo files from my Old XP PC where i used PSE 5.0 to my New Windows 8 computer and then loaded my new PSE 11 program in...All my JPEG files work but all my sony home video files that used to work on PSE 5.0 no longer have their pictures with their sound..And some off them even have music files running in behind the video sound files.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust bought PSE11. Still using iPhoto as my organizer. But when I finish an edit and save, I can't find my image.
I understand that if I save without changing the file name or type, it should put it back in the same origin file.
I tried setting my save settings in PSE to write over original and it still didn't show up. I tried making a duplicate in iPhoto and editing it .... nothing.
In the destination box that opens upon asking it to save, everything looks good. ie it appears to be saving it in an extension on an extension of a numbered file in the iPhoto library.
Not sure if this is possible, maybe with some maths? So possibly via applescript.
I have a layer that is this is neck piece that you see, and you can see that the extension change makes the centre, 'off centre' or at least visually?
How might I achieve this?
I need to expand the canvas afterwards to create a border where the image is framed correctly as part of an automation.
I used to use the 'back' button all the time in my old windows version of PSE organiser. I have now bought PSE 11 for my new macbook and finding that all the reasons I wanted to use PSE organiser rather than iPhoto are fast evaporating with this version. One of them is the 'back' button. If I scroll down down down a long way and find a particular photo and then deliberately or even accidentally, change the view to see data (that incidentally I used to be able to see in the same view on the info side pane such as folder location ....) then I lose my place in the media display and cant get back there like I used to. and have to hunt for the photo again. Similarly when I select a tag to display the selection containing that tag and then want to return to the previous main media display I return to the top, rather than wherever I had progressed to. This didn't happen in my old windows version. I cant understand why the developers would think it was a great idea to remove this facility, but I cant find it. It was invaluable when I was going back through the catalogue to old photos and adding tags or other info.

I must have done something to change that because now photos go directly to the main organizer window. View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter moving a page in my document the master page elements no longer display on screen or in print. If I move the page to a different location in the document the master displays but if it is in the specific position that it needs to be it will not display. The document has multiple Masters and others do work on the page but the one that I need will not. I've tried deleting the page and adding a new one and that does not fix the problem. I've checked and "Hide Master Items" is not checked. The page in question is in position 48 with F-Master applied. If I move it to position 49 it works, 50, it works, 51, or any other it works. If I apply a different master to the page, it works. If I delete the page, add a new page and apply F-Master it still does not work. The only page that this problem is happening on is page 48.

Adobe Elements 9 works fine on the desktop but when i try to print from the laptop a box appears saying 'could not complete your request because an error occured while printing' All other programs print fine from the laptop, Paint, Word, PDFs. View 4 Replies View RelatedI exported an image from LightRoom to Photoshop to edit it. After saving it in Photoshop and closing, I went back to LightRoom and couldn't find it anywhere. Usually it's in the same folder as the original. I also can't find it anywhere on my hard drive or in recent files in Photoshop. I know it saved it because it was a huge file and I had to wait for it to save before photoshop would close.

To get them to appear on the screen again I have to hold down the PS logo at the bottom of my screen, which then brings them up as per the image, then click to select an image. This then brings it onto the main screen. But I have to do this with each image individually. How to bring them all up at once? Or how to turn off this feature completely?

Never mind -- I did find out where these commands were hidden... I'm working on a map, and I'm trying to get latitude and longitude lines to overprint the actual map. As I moved the layer with the lat/longitude lines "forward" they don't appear to overprint the map in the background. Is there some other secret here to get the desired effect?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just made the jump from CS2 to CS5 where I found Photoshop no longer offers settings for line screen and screen angles for spot color printing. This is a critical feature for me and most others in my industry. Photoshop is the go to program for color separations for garment manufacturers and this is a crippling omission for us. Are there any plans to patch CS5 or to bring this critical feature back in future versions? I have been told by customer & tech support that my only option, while already owning CS2 & CS5, is that I will have to buy CS4 from a third party and go backward. While this may work temporarily, it imposes additional cost, and does not address the long term issue of the removal of these controls. Garment manufacturing is a relatively small, but constant industry among your customer base and Photoshop & Illustrator are our right and left hands.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a continuously moving looping slide show that has back and next buttons. When you press the next button it should move forward one where ever it is on the timeline every time you click it and the same for the back button.
This is the code I am using but the the problem is that it goes to else {sym.play("one");} when the button is clicked. No matter where in the timeline the next button is clicked, it goes back to number one. I don't know much about coding and I have tried everything to fix this but I am stuck.

When I am editing a picture in Photoshop, I use a lot of keyboard shortcuts for curves, hue/saturation, etc. but I get frustrated that the box shows up right in the middle of the screen, over the picture I am trying to edit. This makes me have to move it out of the way with the mouse to see what the changes will look like. Is there a way to have it default it popping up to a corner of the screen or even a way to move it without having to grab the mouse?. It is my #1 Photoshop frustration and I figure there is a way that I just can't seem to find it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe smaller windows that come up such as those for adjusting the levels, brightness/contrast, etc. moved little by little each time I used them, but I never paid attention until my Levels window moved so far up when it opens to its default location that I can't get to the top of it to move it anywhere. This has happened to a couple other windows for me, and I can't figure out how to fix it! I tried resetting the workspace, changing resolutions back and forth, restarting.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a new iMAC, a 21.5", 2.7 GHz one with 12 GBytes RAM. My intuos 4, when using Photoshop CS6, works on and off. I mean, when I am painting with the finger tool for instance, and more often than not, I try to make the strokes but the damn finger brush cursor won't move on the screen until a couple of seconds had passed.
In other words, there's a very annoying delay between the physical stroke on the tablet and the brush moving on the screen, it's not simultaneous as it ought to be. And I have installed the latest driver of Wacom for this model!!! This never happened before with the older iMAC, 2.4 GHz and 4 GBytes RAM. I mean, it should work even better.
I was using AutoCAD 2009 and it was set up for me. Now I'm using 2012. How do I get the big thick coloured UCS (XYZ) that looks like three arrows back on screen. The one that is on my screen at the moment is the one that looks like three thin stiks (XYZ).
