I upgraded my system hard drive to an SSD. Before imaging my C: drive I decided to deactivate Photoshop just in case something terrible happened. After restoring the system image to my new SSD, the computer booted Windows7 and all seemed well.
My problem is that when I try to run Photoshop it immediately closes. It does not give me the opportunity to reactivate. Do I have to reinstall CS5?
My home computer hard drive crashed, so I can't deactivate the copy of CS2 that was installed on it. Since I still need the original CS2 on my work computer, how can I reactivate the copy of CS2 on my home computer?

How do I re activate the "Constrain Proportions" feature when it is "greyed out".
Trying to re-size a photo in old Photoshop version with the magnifying glass logo.
My boot drive has a bad block for the 2nd time in 6 months, so I'm going to replace. I will be cloning the drive via Mac Disk Utility to the replacement drive.
I don't want to waste any Activations, so do I DE activate prior to cloning and then Re activate after replacing the new drive? I assume this will count as only one Activation on one machine?
BTW, Adobe chat seemed clueless about this.
I recently upgraded to PhotoshopCS5.5 and find that I can't print on my HP Photoshop Premium printer. I'm using a MacBook Pro with Mac OSX 10.6.8. I also am unable to open 2 images at the same time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a new ICC profile, saved it to the desktop, right-clicked and then left-clicked on Install Profile. It does not appear in the Assign Color Profile window although I see numerous other profiles downloaded some time ago from the same company. I'm running Windows 7/64. I can see it in C:WindowsSystems32SpoolDriversColors along with the other additional profiles. I have updated, re-started CS5 and the computer to no avail.

I have my PowerBook G4 with me. As many know, it does not contain intel so I am unable to use any Photoshop above CS2 (Or CS3, I'm possitive about CS2 Though.)
I've searched the web and I was able to find lower versions of Photoshop for Windows, but non for mac.where I would be able to get my hands on CS2?
I have CS6 (perpetual license) & recently signed up for Creative Cloud so now have Photoshop CC & Lightroom also.
Creative Cloud shows Photshop CC & Lightroom are up to date.
However, Adobe Application Manager keeps stating there is an update for CS6 - namely 'Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud' I've tried to update but each time the update fails with error message:
'Photoshop 13.1.2 for creative Cloud
Installation failed. Error code: U44m1P7'
And why the mention of Creative Cloud - is this update only for CC versions of Photoshop?
Oddly, My CS6 which was standard edition has at some time since I joined CC upgraded itself to CS6 Extended - or is that a perk of CC.
why the update is failing & what I can do? CS6 seems to be working OK, so can I just ignore the update - would that prevent any future updates working or would any future updates supercede this one?

When I re-installed Photoshop CS I was unable to activate it online or by the automated phone sytem. I went and did a live chat with Adobe support..I know my Photoshop CS is old, but I still need it. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded Photoshop CC twice now.On first attempt I opened it and started to customise settings including which drive I wanted as a scratch disk.When I tried to reopen the program I had error messages of "Could not load default tool presets beacuse scratch disks are full " and then "Could not initialize because scratch disks are full ". I uninstalled via Windows7 Prof and reinstalled again but the same thing happened but this time I could not open the program to even customise it.
My PC runs on a SSD of 500GB which I use for Windows etc and still has 435 GB of space on it,I have a smaller older SSD of 120 GB which is now empty and an ordinary hard drive of 1TB which I use as a scratch drive and has 934GB free and 12GB RAM.I ran CS6 before on the old SSD with no problems.I cannot see how the scratch disk is full but understand that SSDs and Photoshop have had problems in the past.
I teach PS CS6 at our school, and we just got new PC workstations for the new semester. We have two network printers: A Ricoh MPC3502 color laser and a Canon iPF5000 inkjet. Both printers work normally when accessed thru Windows, but when I try to print from PS, I get the following error:
After this, the "print" section in the menu is grayed out and no printing is possible. Test prints from Word etc. succeed without any problems.
I found out while doing HDR panoramas that WB is not synchronizing on all images opened in ACR 6.7 (mac). I never set WB to AWB on my Pentax K5 for that work (and use a whibal card, custom WB or even "daylight") but have found out that ACR reads a "custom" (?) value that is not correct (?) and so I have to select the "as shot" value and synchronize (or set a °K/tint value). It only works if you change the value of each image individually - like 32 for a Pano HDR - clicking "done" every time!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm on an Intel Mac running OSX 10.8.4 and Photoshop stopped printing to my Brother HL-5050 laser printer. No error messages, no dialogue boxes, it simply prints a blank sheet of paper. I can print from Acrobat, Pages, Word, and Illustrator, but not PS. I tried the usual suspects-trashed the prefs, restarted, replaced the Brother printer drivers, but nothing works.
However, If I switch to a different login ID, I can print normally. That, I assume, means that there's some combination of parts and conditions in my user preferences that are causing the problem, so what are my options?
When trying to open a file in PS6 (13.0.1 32 & 64) I can't see NEF thumbnails (Nikon D800). Files will open but I need to see thumbnails to be able to select the image easily. ACR v 7.3.0.71 is installed and I have checked that this is the latest version. I am able to see NEF thumbnail images in Lightroom 4.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to save an image file as a pdf, Photoshop CS6 adds .jps instead of .pdf. I cannot open the .jps file, the message says it is damaged. I have used various versions of Photoshop for years and never had any problem making images into pdf.

old computer crashed. Loaded CS5 onto new computer but unable to get updates! I need to get camera raw! The tech support person told me to uninstall and reinstall and that would resolve the issue- well, it did not and I do not have another few hours to wait on hold- any thoughts? View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a selection around a face in one photo, then copied it and tried to paste it into another photo, but it won't paste no matter what I try. The photo I'm copying from is only one layer and I have the move tool selected when I copy. I even created a blank document to paste in that is the same size and resolution as the original photo, but it still won't paste into that either.
What could cause this? And how do I get it to paste again?
When I highlight a layer and start typing a new name in, it switches over to keyboard shortcuts. The only way I can name a layer is to go into Layer Properties, which takes up a lot of time. I've removed prefs and restarted, run Diskwarrior, repaired permissions, everything I can think of.
I am also having the same trouble with InDesign, so perhaps this problem is Adobe-wide, but these are the two I use the most. I suspect this was caused by the installation of MacKeeper, which was deleted some time ago - still have problem.
