View 3 RepliesI've a basic RGB illustrator file - no embedded or linked images, just flat colors and gradients.I'm working in sRGB space and this is reported correctly in the info field at the lower left of the editing window. Some issues:
Â
1. When I look at this file in Bridge it's listed as 'untagged'. However if I re-open it in illustrator it's reported to be sRGB as expected.
2. Despite requesting 'Include All Profiles' on the output page of the PDF save dialog I cannot get a PDF exported that includes the sRGB profile.
Â
Same issues in both CS6 and CC - Windows 7, 64.
I've been trying to reproduce this color blind conditionfor a long time now and I still didn't figure out how I can do this. I've searched for cluts but didn't find any, only this, which has some previews of them, but no any files I can load into Photoshop's Color Lookup adjustment. I've looked into Pixel Bender plugin, but I'm using CC so that doesn't work either... I've also tried it with the Index Color mode, but that really messes up my image as it has a really low color range (256). I've even tried reproducing the same effect with adjustments, channels, etc, but didn't figure it out.
Â
Since there's a way to perfectly color proof images with this condition, I'm guessing this has to be some kind of ICC profile or something similar. Is there a way I can use it as a color profile?
How do you add a custom working space profile to the profile list in CS6.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am installing the programs on my new 64 bits computer , which runs windows 8 in a language which is not english. At the very beginning of the setup I noticed that it detected the language of sist. op. and that it would install cs6 in such language.Â
If I install cs6 I will have all menus , tools and resources in other language and it will be very cumbersome to work with it.Perhaps with the best of the intention to make people feel comfortable with their own language you have made it this way.But there are several other guys like me that want it IN ENGLISH. As a long time user of photoshop I never worked in other language than english and I will never do it.
It looks like it is a new trend to detect the op sistem language , I have had the same problem with Nero Platinum 12 , and others. Is there a way to install Cs6 in English ?
When looking at the list of files in My Pictures, is there a way to get the MPG files to show a graphic or snapshot from the movie, similar to the way a thumbnail works with jpg files? They currently display an image of film with "MPEG" at the bottom.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to place a pic of Elisabeth shue on a different background but the method I am using doesnt seem to work or I may lack the technique.
The method I was sure would work is select a color channel to get some if any contrast between the background and subject. choose high pass filter, Choose Image>Adjust>Levels (I put the levels at about 100 for left and 180 for right)
Then using the lasso I alt clicked and selected the inside of subject. With the lasso selection I ctrl deleted to fill with white. Finally I did the best clean up job to rid of any uneeded info that I could.
Went to color composite, control clicked to make selection. The selection was horrible and leaked to the outside. I also tried another picture and the same results.
How can this be done so I have a professional looking image to use for creating another picture with different scenery?
this file is tagged "c2" -- it doesn't trigger a profile mismatch warning -- why my working RGB is sRGB
View 9 Replies View RelatedFor a monthly magazine on uncoated paper, our workflow is as follows:
- convert every photo to uncoated cmyk (PSO Uncoated) + apply some corrections to look nice in this profile
- apply a fixed correction curve to the photo's
- (resize images + apply proper sharpening for print)
- export pdf: convert colors to destination, preserve numbers
Â
The correction curve step is critical. Without it, everything is printed much too dark.Unfortunately our printer can't provide us with a correct profile for the paper that is used. That's why the correction curve in photoshop is needed. The profile + the correction curve give a good, predictable result.
Â
However i don't like the workflow with the correction curve, because only photoshop links can be corrected. We would also like to put a digital version of the magazine online, so i have to replace all links if i won't to have them displayed correctly.
Â
Can i somehow combine the icc profile with the correction curve into a new icc profile?I did some research and found about "Custom CMYK" in photoshop (see screenshot), but i think an existing profile (PSO Uncoated) can't be edited or replicated in this dialog box.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've watched the Adobe sales video, and I've read the payment plans. It doesn't mention Bridge. If I opt for Photoshop as a single app, does that include Bridge? Or do I have to opt for the complete package for CS user upgrade? I can't see that Bridge is an app in it's own right - it's basically just an image viewer, so the extra cost just to get Bridge seems a bit excessive.

I just downloaded Adobe CS6 Master Collection but it seems it does not contain Photoshop CS6 Extended. There are all other CS products and normal Photoshop but why there is no Photoshop CS6 Extended?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a text layer I wish to use as a clipping mask, for an image above. But the text layer also has a stroke around the outside of the text, to thicken it a bit. I want the stroked part to be included as part of the mask, i.e. for the image above to be projected onto both the text body AND the stroke around it. However, it seems that the stroke is ignored, and only the basic text shape used as the mask.
Â
How do I achieve an effect whereby the image above is projected also onto the stroke?
Â
I have a similar problem with a shape layer I have. It is a rounded rectangle shape, but I am only using the shape to act as a path around which I stroke to create a 20px frame. I want the frame (only the frame) to be used as a clipping mask, so that an image is projected only onto that frame, and NOT inside or outside the frame -- only on the frame. I can set the "fill" to 0% to create a transparent interior, so that all I have is a frame, and transparency inside and out (which I would then hope is a great clipping mask to use for my purpose), but I guess photoshop views this as being entirely transparent (i.e. effectively no mask at all) because it ignores the stroke part completely.
Assign Profile and Convert to Profile does not shows in Edit menu for PS CS3. How do I get those options displayed on the Edit Tab?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor creating masks I'll often select all visible pixels in a layer (cmd+click the layer) but if the layer has any blending effects, e.g. a stroke or drop shadow, then this won't be included in the selection. Is it possible to include these in the selection?

I've folders of photographs taken with a digital camera (jpegs) which I need to print index to include other informations such as FileName, Date, Exposure and Camera used, etc.
I've tried Automate - PDF, but that has limited options for the output. I do know other software can do it. Nevertheless, I just want to find out how Photoshop do it.
I do web development and I am attempting to see if I can ween off Photoshop for what I do, (mainly cutting up images) is there a way to have Gimp view a PS file and include the hierarchy of the layers that are originally laid out in Photoshop?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an alignment label that I normally use to show the PVI's of a profile in the plan view.
This is a little unusual, but in a specific case I wanted to design my profile at one alignment, but show it at another. Â I designed my swale profile in the pathway profile view and then superimposed the swale profile on the swale profile view. Â I then went back to the swale alignment to add these labels.
It's a no-go AFAICT. Â The only profile available for me to select for these labels is the original ground profile from the surface.
I'm working with a structure profile label style and it seems like the only way to anchor the position of the label is based on offsets from the structure itself... Any way to position the label based on the top of the profile view, so that I could make all of my labels horizontally aligned above the profile view?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIm creating a Profile Bandset and would like to have multiple surface/profile elevations shown, ie: EG, FG, Back of Curb and Back of walk. While creating this bandset I see that the text component editor properties only has code for profile 1 elevation and profile 2 elevation in the properties area, which the code for this looks like below.
<[Profile1 Elevation(Uft|P2|RN|Sn|OF|AP)]>
<[Profile2 Elevation(Uft|P3|RN|AP|Sn|OF)]>
Ive tried to write my own code using the profile 2 as an example but it doesnt seem to work as a 3rd surface/profile and only seems to mimic the profile 2 elevation when placed in the band
My questions are as follows
1) does Civil 3d only allow 2 surface elevations in any band set? if it does allow more profiles/surface elevations what am i missing to create it?Â
2) if Civil 3d does alow for multiple surfaces to be shown in the band set how do i get the text component editor to supply the extra profile elevation codes? or would i need to create from scratch
3) if i need to write the code from scratch does any listing of the codes and meanings of each code ie what does RN, Uft, Sn and so forth do and mean .
