Paint.NET :: Background Color Disappears In Banner
Feb 13, 2012I am making a banner with a picture that is right justified and the remaining part of the banner a color I pull from the photo. I am also trying to make a gradient to smooth the photo into the background.
I am able to crop and re-size the photo. I create a New Layer, color pick and fill the background and my banner looks good. I then select the gradient tool and select Transparency mode. I click on the photo and the background color disappears and starts
showing the transparency checkerboard. I create the gradient and select another tool to deactivate it. After that my background color never reappears.
So my banner has a photo that fades into a blank area.

A right click allows me to chnage the useless background color, but not get rid of it. I can't drag from the corner to reduce the size. Jul 18, 2013So when you're zoomed out, you can see a grey background around your canvas. But when you're zoomed close enough, so that your canvas is bigger that your screen, you can't see that grey background, since the canvas become the borderline of your working space.
But is there a way to make that grey background visible even if i'm zoomed in?
Example: I'm drawing grass and I would like that my brush strokes begins outside of the box, while being zoomed in.

Sep 8, 2013I've been taking 2000 head shots on a white background. While I was shooting I saw a grey area in the upper left corner showing up. At the moment of the shooting I didn't have the occasion to change lighting.
Removing this one by one works perfectly using the dodge tool and removing just the highlights. Is there a way to do this in a batch? (since the heads are all very centered in the frame and the grey area is always in the upper left corner).

Yesterday, I took a number of experimental shots (a red phone cord lying on a white background). The white background (an artists white canvas lying on the floor) was well lit from above using 5600K lights.
The shots were all taken using auto focus, auto exposure, etc and in the view finder everything appeared to be correct, but on later viewing the photos, the white background appears to be grey.
I have attached a sample image to show the grey colour.
especially when using the auto mode when taking the photos.
I am not concerned about the picture quality only the grey background and I did not undertake a WB as I thought that this was part of the auto mode when taking the photo. the shot was taken by half pressing the shutter release butto to ensure that everything was OK then continuing to fully press the button.

Photoshop :: Printing Out Of CS5 On Epson R3000 Prints Light Cyan And Grey Background
Feb 21, 2013I have an Imac with Mountain Lion, CS5 and have just replaced my Epson R2400 with an R3000. Now the white background round the image is covered in small cyan and light grey dots. If the image fills the paper, then the margin is affected. But when trying to proof colours I am going through loads of paper as I cannot now print a smaller image on a larger piece of paper, then re-feed the same sheet through with another small image as the paper is now pale blue.
The R2400 was fine for proofing, as the image alone would print and then the printer fed through the remainder of the sheet without printing, leaving the rest of the paper white. I understood from that , that it was most likely a Photoshop issue and some sort of conflict with the Paper profiles. But, I have checked the profiles on my Mac and they are all version 2 profiles. I note that the few profiles that do work without the blue colour do have 'bkpt' in their profiling and that the ones for the paper I actually do use and in fact the majority of the profiles, do not contain 'bkpt'.

Nov 28, 2012I think it might be the GPU but i used apple computers with intel hd 4000 and it didnt do that. I have amd hd 7750 with an i5 and 4gb ram. Photoshop doesnt run slow its just the picture going in and out.

Jun 2, 2012I'm trying to use a smoke brush in Illustrator CS5 and colour it blue. However, when I place a black square at the back of the image as a background, the brush appears to have a grey outer edge. I have tried other brushes as well and some produce the same results.

Jan 5, 2013After Update 2 and Hotfix 1 (I haven't noticed after which of them exactly it happened) some options in X6, when they are active, are receiving some grey-pink background together with the small icon near them - for example Object position, Object size, Angle of rotation and others. You will see them when you select some object.
In the same color are also some items in the menus without obvious principle. I don't think that this is intentional. Or I cannot see it?

Dec 12, 2011I'm trying to remove the blitz shadow from head and body on a white/grey background, with the Lasso tool. The adjustments with Brightness/Contrast in the chosen area works like a charm, however I always get a nasty pixeled or whitelined boarder going constantly around the edited area; no matter if it boarders to a black area (shoulder) or a gray one (wall behind person).
I've tried to edit the primary/secondary color, with no luck. Any way to make this boarder "blend in" to the new brightness area - or to just remove it? The edited area is somewhat identical to the old background, so there is no natural reason to why it should be a constant boarder.
Or is it a better (and easy!) way to remove blitz shadow from a black and white picture?
