May 13, 2013I am seeing a double brush cursor in CS5; why? and how do I get rid of it?
It's not the clone tool, it's the brush.When I resize my brush to a certain size (different sizes for different images) a duplicate brush suddenly appears in the top left corner of my screen and resizes with the brush as I resize it up and down.
Also, if I zoom into my image, suddenly the duplicate brush will appear in the top left of my screen with the same behaviour.Different images behave differently but it appears to be once I get to a certain size on any image this duplicate brush cursor appears top left of screen and makes it very difficult for me to access menu and tool options.

Dec 31, 2013Any way to turn off the automatic launching of isolation mode on double click. It's highly annoying and slows me down every time I have to exit the mode so I can get back to work. I prefer to select elements using the layers panel, which is much more flexible.
Is there a preference or other setting to disable isolation mode? Especially when using a Wacom pen, it's alll too easy to double-click unintentionally. So disabling it permanently would be a great.
Photoshop :: Can't Record Brush Mode As Action
Oct 15, 2013I'm trying to record a brush mode setting (eg clear,normal, behind) in an action.
But photoshop doesn't record anything when i click on the brush mode setting (it does record the brush when i click on it in the tool bar) Tools like the color picker also do not record, so the problem goed farther then just the brush mode setting.
I'm running Photoshop CC on a Wacom Cintiq Companion on Windows8.

Jun 23, 2009I have another paint app where it will do a brush mode that is a rubber-band mode. So if there is a brush that's 25 pixels wide and you go and click once somewhere and then move the cursor... a straight line rubberband appears connected to your cursor. When you click again, the brush is painted in a straight line to where you clicked. It's great when you are trying to quickly paint a straight line to match something in the image.Does PS have a brush mode like this?(I know that drawing paths can be stroked in straight lines, etc. but I need a brush mode that is quickly switchable to as I am speed painting thousands of images and brushing is fastest for this work).

I've trying creating actions to switch the mode but the actual mode selection is not recorded in the action.
, I'd like to assign keyboard shortcuts that "select brush tool, set mode to Lighten", etc.
I am using CS6 Extended.

Jun 20, 2008I'm currently jumping back and forward between quick mask mode and my standard layer. When I am in the standard layer the brush tool is performing as it should, but when I go into quick mask it is erasing my selection (red) rather than filling in where I draw!

Switching back and forth from Lightroom, I usually find the radio button has switched back to "Create Texture" mode, which I do not want. I leave it in Content-Aware, but it switches on its own. Can't find any way to set it to stay where I put it.

I'm using OS 10.6.8 and the latest Epson drivers for the 3880. I have re-installed both PS and the Epson drivers. If I print from Acrobat Reader everything seems to work fine, this only is happening in Photoshop CS5.

Lightroom :: 4 - Can Only See Photos In Library Mode Not Develop Mode
Mar 17, 2012This may be related to other imported catalog bugs, but does not seem to be quite the same. In Lightroom 4, with an upgraded Lightroom 3 catalog:
1. Select a photo in Library mode.
2. Click on Develop to go to Develop mode
Screen shows "No photo selected". I cannot edit photos in Develop mode.
I can see and edit photos that are found in smart collections, but not photos that are simply in my collections from 2012, 2011, etc. folders

I have had this problem since I used Photoshop 7 and now Photoshop CS. When I want to go to a new paragraph or the next line using the enter key, it just doesnt work.
When I hit enter, the text just exits the text entry/edit mode.

No matter what 1 single pixel brush i use this will happen... no matter which computer i use cs6 on and different copies of the installation. Anyway have any insight into this? frankly... it's somewhat limiting that i can't use the brush for stroking a shape if i need a pixel line and yet soft curves that a pencil won't get you.

Apr 13, 2013There are a few things I just don't get about brush settings. Sometimes it seems my brushes go all wonky.
When I change the settings for 1 brush... say I add some jitter to a smooth brush - then suddenly the other brushes get the same jitter applied to them.
How can I set the brushes so that each brush has a different setting that doesn't change when I change any other brush settings?
p.s. I also don't get why Adobe has you lock a brush by UNlocking it? Seems to me it should be the other way around?

Dec 19, 2012I have contacted Adobe about issues with Photoshop brushes recently. My issue is that the brush size is smaller than the circle that represents the brush. In other words, when I hoover over the area that I want to paint or erase with the circle and then click, the painted or erased area is smaller that the circle. It's really frustrating when fine tuning an image, you never know how close you are to what you want to correct. This is only visible when you zoom in quit a bit. I worked with an Adobe tech for over an hour and he could not simulate the problem. Then he finally asked if I was using a retina display, (he was not).

Nov 18, 2012When I use the healing brush is tends to "skip". It leaves a line of circles like a stamp would instead of a flowing line like it should leave. No matter how slow I move the brush it leaves a circle and then as I continue to draw nothing happens until I reach the edge of the first circle, it then drops another circle and it continues that way as long as I draw with it. The brush tool works fine, leaves a smooth line. The Spot Healing and Patch Tool work fine but the healing brush will not heal in a smooth stroke. It skips along a leaves a tail of circles the size of the brush. I am using a fast computer, i7 processor, 16bg ram and a SSD drive so I do not think speed is an issue. I upgraded from CS4 where the healing brush worked fine on this computer
