Jul 27, 2012When i pick my brush tool and try to get a soft brush from the drop down menu they all look white, i don't see a soft brush from a non soft brush.

Feb 5, 2014I'm having a problem with the Blob Brush tool where I can't change the basic brush to something else. Whenever I pick a brush I want and I try draw with the Blob Brush tool, the brush I picked reverts back to the basic brush. Here are screenshots:
I pick a brush that I like first
But when I start drawing with the Blob Brush tool, it reverts back to the basic brush automatically
Am I doing something wrong or is the Blob Brush tool only capable of using the basic brush?

Aug 16, 2012I have been searching for a brush, preferably a soft round, that will grow in circumference as I paint a straight line.
i.e. : a brush that starts at say 15px then changes to (e.g.) 18px then 21px, 24px, 27px so on and so forth (And I mean one that will do this without having to stop and change the px size manually).
I tried the brush settings where one can change the angle, roundness, px size etc. but there doesn't seem to be a setting that'll provide what I'm trying to achieve.
I've been Google'n for the last 45+ minutes without any luck. Founds lots of other really nice brushes & btw, if a brush says that it's for Photoshop Cs4 do you know if that means I cannot use it for Cs6? Just wondering.
So, if you already have such a brush would you be willing and/or able to share, or if you know how I can make one myself, that would (also) be great.
PS. If making a brush is difficult to explain just tell me and I will find a tutorial online. I don't mean to ask you to do my homework.
Photoshop :: CS6 - Soft Brush Suddenly Looks Pixelated Instead Of Smooth
Feb 16, 2013I've never had this problem before. I'm using the standard soft round brush to blend colors, which has always given a smooth effect, but now it suddenly looks all pixelated. The brush strokes also appears in rings instead of a smooth gradient. It looks as if the picture has been sharpened too much or saved in bad quality. I've already tried things like changing the brush settings, deleting Photoshop preferences, increasing the RAM assigned to Photoshop, but nothing works.

May 31, 2012I have installed CS PS 6 on my Windows 7, 64 bit computer. When I go to ACR through Bridge and try to crop an image by clicking on the crop tool icon, the drop down menu for the cropping tool is VERY sporadic. It will sometimes show me the different cropping ratios, but most of the time, there is no drop down menu, or it is VERY SLOW to respond. It does this with my mouse and also with my Wacom Intuos 4. All other features seem to be working normally.
I have found that if I press "C" for crop and right-click on an image, the drop-down menu does appear, but this has never happend to me on any other PS.

Photoshop :: Closing Brush Menu Hotkey (picture)
Jan 3, 2013In photoshop when you left click with an intuos/bamboo pen it brings up the brush tool window.
Is there a hotkey to close this window? I have been clicking to top of photoshops toolbar to close the brush window, but I would thing there is a hotkey to dismiss it on the keyboard.

No matter what 1 single pixel brush i use this will happen... no matter which computer i use cs6 on and different copies of the installation. Anyway have any insight into this? frankly... it's somewhat limiting that i can't use the brush for stroking a shape if i need a pixel line and yet soft curves that a pencil won't get you.

Apr 13, 2013There are a few things I just don't get about brush settings. Sometimes it seems my brushes go all wonky.
When I change the settings for 1 brush... say I add some jitter to a smooth brush - then suddenly the other brushes get the same jitter applied to them.
How can I set the brushes so that each brush has a different setting that doesn't change when I change any other brush settings?
p.s. I also don't get why Adobe has you lock a brush by UNlocking it? Seems to me it should be the other way around?

Dec 19, 2012I have contacted Adobe about issues with Photoshop brushes recently. My issue is that the brush size is smaller than the circle that represents the brush. In other words, when I hoover over the area that I want to paint or erase with the circle and then click, the painted or erased area is smaller that the circle. It's really frustrating when fine tuning an image, you never know how close you are to what you want to correct. This is only visible when you zoom in quit a bit. I worked with an Adobe tech for over an hour and he could not simulate the problem. Then he finally asked if I was using a retina display, (he was not).

History brush only works if you use the camera icon at the bottom of the history pallette and then select "current layer" for your snapshot from the drop down menu which shows up after you press the camera icon.
