Photoshop :: CS4 Brush Tool Loses The Outline Of The Tool As The Diameter Gets Larger
Oct 17, 2008
The brush tool loses the outline of the tool as the diameter gets larger. e.g. at 175px there is a fill outline of the tool. At 200px only a semi-circle is shown.
I have been using the clone stamp tool for a few weeks without any problems, but a few days ago the outline of the brush disappeared. I can still clone an area and replace the undesired area, however, I can't see the exact area that will be affected because the black circle that showed the brush size is now invisible.
So everything is fine until I use the select tool, and then free transform a part of the image. Then my brush and eraser stop working until I save and restart the program.
When I use the measure tool for the ruler an open centered cross is displayed - is there any way to make the size of the centre of the cross larger? this way i can get a more accurate measure of 2 points -
I'm having a problem with the Blob Brush tool where I can't change the basic brush to something else. Whenever I pick a brush I want and I try draw with the Blob Brush tool, the brush I picked reverts back to the basic brush. Here are screenshots:
I pick a brush that I like first
But when I start drawing with the Blob Brush tool, it reverts back to the basic brush automatically
Am I doing something wrong or is the Blob Brush tool only capable of using the basic brush?
I recently moved up from Photoshop Elements to CS5 which included a Selection Brush Tool in addition to the Quick Selection Brush. The Selection Brush Tool allows you to paint a selection free style without being bothered by the "Quick" feature that provides guesses about where you might want to select. I could not find the Selection Brush Tool in CS5. Is there one? The lasso is not as easy to use.
Can I use the paint brush twice on the same area without having different scales of the same color? I would like to keep the paint brush smooth but the problem is that when the same area is painted twice, the color in such area darkens.
Is it possible to lock the paint brush to one stroke of paint? If an area is painted, is it possible to automatically skip that area when painting? In other words, is it possible to have the brush effect only once over a given particular area even if it is brushed over twice?
I am trying out CS6 on a Mac. There is no brush tool in my menu, only pencil tool and art history brush! I would like to try out the brushes in particular before I buy. I thought that one has access to all the features during the trial?
I want each one of these textures to be made into it's own brush too so when I use the brush too the textures and colours come out. I'm making an rpg. I'm using cs4
This is about Brush sizes. Here is an example. If I select the Paintbrush tool and select a size of 300 pixels and 100% hardness. The "Circle" that represents the brush is approximately 600 pixels in diameter. Almost twice the size of the actual colour that I want to apply. It makes it very difficult to be precise. Is this a glitch or is there a setting somewhere that I can't find.
usually when we select a brush from the brush pallet, you can see its shape an size beforre u actually add it to ur image. sometimes i cant see it and it only shows me a little cross -
My brush size circle does not show up...just the cursor. I change the size to everything from 1 to 300....nothing. Sometimes a shutdown and restart helps, so I think it may be a lack of computing power.
I can sometimes get it back by going into preferences and changing the brush size to standard then then back to brush size...but that's a pain in the but.
I encountered was after I outlined an image in order to remove the background around it, i could not disconnect from the outline tool (scissors). How do I do the disconnect?
i have photoshop cs6 , and i was watching a video about the new lightroom features it was amazing how in this video lightroom v5 brush tool work does cs6 have such feature ? or is included in cc only?
I have PS CS6 with the latest updates, using a Mac computer with OS 10.7 also with the latest updates. When in ACR, the adjustment brush does not appear on the screen unless I click the bracket keys which increase or decrease the size of the brush.
If I paint a segment and the let go of the brush key, the brush disappears again. I have to keep repeating this if I am painting multiple parts of the photo. I have thrown away and reset the preferences for both Photoshop and Bridge, as well as repairing disk permissions on my Mac.
My Spot Healing Brush Tool wont drag at all, yes I have tried resetting the Tool. I am wondering if its because my Graphics card is integrated(Laptop)?
