CorelDRAW X6 :: Contour Tool - Outline Color Not Work?
Jul 6, 2013I set the outline color to red. You can see that it's not working. I just see a small red square at middle left side only.

I am trying to create an outline color for contour cutting and I have the outline color in my spot colors but now I was wondering if I could apply these change to all the images at once instead of changing each one.

Jun 24, 2011when using contour tool (to inside of object) it defaults to the max allowed according to the setting, and grays out "number of steps", how do you change to say you want ONE contour at say .015"?...my X3 will allow this, but NOT the trial I am using of X5.

Dec 5, 2011I still use Corel Draw 12 and my question is is there an easy or automatic way to make the outline color of an object the same color as the fill color? I do it the hard way of trial and error until I get the right outline color from the color dock/pallette.

Apr 25, 2013Set the Trace Bitmap so that the outline color defaults to the same as the fill color on the resulting curves? Currently, resulting curves have to be edited one color at a time to give them hairline outlines with the same color as the fill. It's mighty tedious for complex vector art.

What I have works if my line or object has a Cyan outline. The issue I am having is when it is checking a line that is any other color that doesn't have Cyan = 100, it errors out.

I have colored the outline in the same green as the fill but I would like to keep the bottom line (curved) black to define it against the hat brim. Jul 13, 2013I'm looking at tutorials on how to add strokes to text (I downloaded it today) and they say to use the color select tool. In their demonstration, when they select text, it has the normal dotted lines around it. For me, when I click it just has a thick border around it and it tells me to move my mouse to change the threshold. It won't select the text, just change the threshold when moving my mouse from left to right.

Jun 11, 2011Half the time I use TRIM tool vector on top of vector it doesn't work.
I can't seem to figure out why in some cases trim works and in others it simply puts the top object under the bottom one instead of trimming it from the bottom one.
Does same thing in X3 X4 and X5?
I've tried everything from making sure both were filled with solid color - all curves closed, nothing else grouped with them - nothing - sometimes I have to try a couple times doing same thing and it will work, other times not at all - even after trying a save (which sometimes works)
Both top and bottom show on layer one in properties too!

Aug 19, 2013I dobbleclick on fill-color icon in lower right side of the screen to change the fill-color. But no dialog-box appear. But if I try to click anywhere in Corel after this I just get a beep. Looks like there is a dialog-box outside screen or something.

Jun 9, 2012How to maybe trace the contour of one object (font) to close the lines of another object to allow it to process in Cut Studio for a Roland GX-24? Basically there's a volleyball and on a corner of the ball the font will overlap but because there are so many intersecting lines, having the cutter make the cuts would be impossible.
I did "contour" the font but the lines inside the volleyball image are not "closed" and I want it to follow the text shape to ensure uniformity instead of me trying to close every node manually.

May 3, 2012We are very, very new to the cutting of a corel design with my roland. I have letters that consist of a block letter with an 8 pt black outline as the back layer with a block letter and a 4 pt white outline as the top layer, making the shadow effect.
I convert curves and add my contour cut line, but it keeps appearing INSIDE the black outline and cuts the black out. The image cuts out fine and the one color part of the letter does, but the black and white outline shadows are cut out.
I've tried boundary and contouring every way I can figure. Obviously there is a setting/trick I don't know.
