X6.4 - Win7
The brush tool loses the outline of the tool as the diameter gets larger. e.g. at 175px there is a fill outline of the tool. At 200px only a semi-circle is shown.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with the Blob Brush tool where I can't change the basic brush to something else. Whenever I pick a brush I want and I try draw with the Blob Brush tool, the brush I picked reverts back to the basic brush. Here are screenshots:
I pick a brush that I like first
But when I start drawing with the Blob Brush tool, it reverts back to the basic brush automatically
Am I doing something wrong or is the Blob Brush tool only capable of using the basic brush?
How come the width tool can ne used on a path made by pen tool but not brush strokes? Is a brush stroke not a path??
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhy, my brush tool won't work? It won't paint.
I have it selected and have a layer to paint but nothing comes out.
I'm using cs2.
I recently moved up from Photoshop Elements to CS5 which included a Selection Brush Tool in addition to the Quick Selection Brush. The Selection Brush Tool allows you to paint a selection free style without being bothered by the "Quick" feature that provides guesses about where you might want to select. I could not find the Selection Brush Tool in CS5. Is there one? The lasso is not as easy to use.
View 3 Replies View RelatedCan I use the paint brush twice on the same area without having different scales of the same color? I would like to keep the paint brush smooth but the problem is that when the same area is painted twice, the color in such area darkens.
Is it possible to lock the paint brush to one stroke of paint? If an area is painted, is it possible to automatically skip that area when painting? In other words, is it possible to have the brush effect only once over a given particular area even if it is brushed over twice?
I have 8 gig of ram and a nvidia NX8600Gt vid card - never had problems in CS5.5 and expected CS6 to be better, but it is not.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying out CS6 on a Mac. There is no brush tool in my menu, only pencil tool and art history brush! I would like to try out the brushes in particular before I buy. I thought that one has access to all the features during the trial?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is about Brush sizes. Here is an example. If I select the Paintbrush tool and select a size of 300 pixels and 100% hardness. The "Circle" that represents the brush is approximately 600 pixels in diameter. Almost twice the size of the actual colour that I want to apply. It makes it very difficult to be precise. Is this a glitch or is there a setting somewhere that I can't find.
View 6 Replies View Relatedusually when we select a brush from the brush pallet, you can see its shape an size beforre u actually add it to ur image. sometimes i cant see it and it only shows me a little cross -
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy brush size circle does not show up...just the cursor. I change the size to everything from 1 to 300....nothing. Sometimes a shutdown and restart helps, so I think it may be a lack of computing power.
I can sometimes get it back by going into preferences and changing the brush size to standard then then back to brush size...but that's a pain in the but.
I try to use the brush tool I can not "paint" in the image.
I created a new image, selected the brush tool.
In the image a circle with a + in the center appears, but when drag the circle nothing appears.
i have animal shape brush and i want when i draw shape it make selection of that area.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have PS CS6 with the latest updates, using a Mac computer with OS 10.7 also with the latest updates. When in ACR, the adjustment brush does not appear on the screen unless I click the bracket keys which increase or decrease the size of the brush.
If I paint a segment and the let go of the brush key, the brush disappears again. I have to keep repeating this if I am painting multiple parts of the photo. I have thrown away and reset the preferences for both Photoshop and Bridge, as well as repairing disk permissions on my Mac.
My Spot Healing Brush Tool wont drag at all, yes I have tried resetting the Tool. I am wondering if its because my Graphics card is integrated(Laptop)?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with the free style tools, brush tool, lasso tool, etc. when I open Photoshop everything works fine but as soon as I press any key, the brush tool makes just one dot instead of a line, I can't slide any adjustment bars, like to make opacity from 0% to 100% or change diameter of the brush, any movement in the mouse is like I just made a single click, I wait around 10 minutes and everything is ok again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am thinking of a good way to organize my brushes. Now they are all in the settings window, in a row.I would liket to oganise them in folders, like they where in different boxes.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHere is an example of my issue, when brush strokes overlap, a darker color is created:
I'm trying to brush with one flat color, with no overlaping effect. Here is a photo of what I'm trying to do, but this example was done with the pencil tool. I want to do this with the brush..I'd like to be able to switch from the top style to the bottom style when needed.
When using the Brush tool in Photoshop, adjusting its opacity to (say) 50% en then painting the number "8"---so by crossing the curve with itself---how come the crossing does not add its opacity? If you would draw with a real brush on a real canvas, and come back to the same point in one single stroke, then that would be darker and darker. Why does Photoshop has another rule for this, should that work for a certain application? I find it rather not realistic, so I was wondering...

Since I am working in Photoshop 6, I do not see a "healing brush" tool on my toolbox. The course I am trying to help my granddaughter with is designed for Photoshop7. Is there any tool in "6" that will have the same function as the healing brush - or is it hiding out somewhere in 6?

Regardless of the brush diameter or hardness when using the dodge tool to lighten an area of a photograph, it only lightens a very small area in the center of the brush and then only after repeated clicks. The burn tool seems to operate as normal (the whole area of the brush regardless of diameter).
