Is there any way to get rid of this grey outline on the Line/Curve tool?

When using the Line / Curve tool, I tend to cause a line to "finish" because when I try to click on a handle to bend the line, I miss, (due to poor vision)... and the line can no longer be adjusted. Is there a way to cause the handles to re-appear so I can complete the line the way I need to? "Undo" only makes the line disappear, and I have to start all over.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi'm drawing a logo and have used the line/curve tool a lot. once i have got my basic shape and have rubbed out the lines i no longer need, is it possible to reselect a line and change the curve?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to add more nodes to the line/curve tool. Limited to only two is not enough.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I do a LOT is outline a circular object (in a photo) using the line/curve tool in a separate layer so that I can select the circular thing or everything else. Hope that made sense. Anyway, the thing is not exactly a circular and the line/curve tool works great but it would be nice to have a shape tool that would draw a circle that could be sized/positioned and slightly deformed using nibs (or nubs or whatever) similar to the line/curve tool.
Is there a way to do that with the built in shape tool? Or is there a plugin?
Alright here's the problem, after reading extensively and watching many videos, I finally learned how to crop and layer , which is ridiculously easy! But now I can't get the line/curve tool to make solid connections.
Green Circle: Where the lines meet end to end
Red Circle: Where the lines overlap
Blue Circle: Where I crossed lines perpendicularly in example of what's going wrong.
New layer, select the cloud using the Magic Wand and on your new layer draw a light grey line along the bottom of the cloud

Now, I tried to just use a pencil and then fill it in, but that didn't work, so I'm sure there must be an easy way.
How to change between Line and Curve. I can only get the line part to work.

I tried creating an ellipse and filling it in with semi-transparent brush and use the dents tool on it but its just not... WAVY enough. Is there a plugin or way to add more lines to the lines/curve tool? That would be VERY useful at all times so I can make custom waves/do more things with it.
Is it possible to get more than 4 nubs on the Curve tool? I know I can use Sin Waves to get curves, but it would be more useful if I can get the curve I need by using the basics.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI frequently use the lines/curve tool for filling in large items on the documents (maps) which I update. In the past, I have had no trouble doing this, but I now find that the lines no longer merge into one another, but overlap. I get the same effect when using the paintbrush tool. It is probably something that I am doing incorrectly, but blowed if I know what.
View 7 Replies View Relatedknow the Line/Curve only have 4 pointers/handles/nubs (To be honest, I do not know what it called). There one at the start, two in the middle and one at the end but I need to add more as I need to make more curve so, is there a way to add it or at least any plugin.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just started using Paint.Net, primarily for pixel work. I needed a program that had the curve line tool but with extra features than the ones provided in Microsoft Paint. But it seems that I've came to a problem, the lines are anti-aliased, even at 1 pixel big. I was wondering if there was a option to turn the aliasing off for the line/curve tool.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to remove the blitz shadow from head and body on a white/grey background, with the Lasso tool. The adjustments with Brightness/Contrast in the chosen area works like a charm, however I always get a nasty pixeled or whitelined boarder going constantly around the edited area; no matter if it boarders to a black area (shoulder) or a gray one (wall behind person).
I've tried to edit the primary/secondary color, with no luck. Any way to make this boarder "blend in" to the new brightness area - or to just remove it? The edited area is somewhat identical to the old background, so there is no natural reason to why it should be a constant boarder.
Or is it a better (and easy!) way to remove blitz shadow from a black and white picture?
I have a grid set up. say 10X10 each. I then fill in each square of the grid. I get rid of the grid, left with 10X 10 squares next to each other separated by 1 pixel then I do an outline to quickly get rid of the spaces between each square.
Now I I have 12 pixel wide line, now I would like to do an Inline (negative outline) to reduce the line back down to 10 pixel (or less ) wide line.
Since it is not exactly a straight line, but rather than a zig zaging line I can't exactly use the pixel selection tool.
URL...But it uses a `Shear' tool in the program to get the curve of the coloured band. I was just wondering which one in PDN would do the same. I have tried sine waves without success and also the waves effect plug in. But neither will give the required effect.
BTW - I eventually managed to get the curve using Sine Waves but had to rotate the bar through 90 degrees first but it is still not exactly the same as the tut. It really needs a shear tool.
I have created a new layer mask of an image, but when I use the free transform tool to resize it so it is smaller, there is a faint grey outline left around the image. Why does this happen and how do I get rid of it?
View 15 Replies View RelatedMAC OS / Photoshop CS5 As you can see in the attached image, my clone stamp selection doesn't extend out to the edges of the outline, which makes using it very clumsy to use. My PS installation at home and all the installations at this business don't do this. I've tried messing with all the clone stamp settings, resetting the clone stamp presets, and resetting the general Photoshop preferences at startup. However, nothing I've tried has had any affect. So how can I get this adjusted so that the clone stamp selected area extends out to the edges of the grey outline?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some artistic text, that I converted to curves. This artistic text, included outline which I would like to keep with the text. But now - I would like to apply a fill, to fill the entire creation, including the outlines, seamlessly. Basically, replace the outline color with the fill, and the fill itself - such as linear fountain fill.
View 7 Replies View Relatedhave just downloaded paint.net - no problem on many basic functions but cannot get the line tool to give me a visible line. I have changed primary and secondary colors to make sure regardless of whether I'm left or right clicking the line will stand out against white background. I have increased width to six pixels to make sure it will be nice and thick and visible. I do get the four little box thingies when I release the cursor, and I can then go in and manipulate them. But no matter what I try I cannot SEE a line.

Is there a plugin that can make more segments/grips in the line tool? Like in PS or Sketchbook Pro? Idk if Gimp has it also.. But I'm sure it does.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to cover some details about the photo such as: date - location, etc.. - Until now I used the brush tool with a stroke to cover the details I have mentioned, but I can not run it with the mouse perfectly horizontal line. There is another way that I could use?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to use the line tool to make a 1 pixel wide line? When I use a brush width of 1, the line apears to be blurred. I would like the line tool to draw a line as if it was drawn using the pencil tool (with brush width of 1). This means that every pixel I colour, will have the exact ARGB value that I am using at that moment.
I have attached an example of this to this post. It consists of two lines, the top one has been drawn using the line tool, the bottom one using the pencil tool. I would like to turn the top line into the bottom one.
Is there a way to add a node onto a line when you're making it? Obviously you can just make the line, shape it, and then make a new one to get more nodes, but I find it annoying to line up and such. If you can't add more manipulation nodes onto it, that should be a feature!
View 2 Replies View Related I cannot get the "Line Styles" Tool to work" as in broken line, dotted line, arrow tipped line's, pointed lines, flat line's.
I can see them in Tools> Choose Tool Defaults> but how Ido Insert the "Line Styles Tool" into the Toolbar so its there all the time
I am working with vector art that has lines that either look like they were cut off and not finished out or extend to the edge of the page so they are straight when they should actually be curved.
Is there any way to take a straight line or part of an image and curve it with ease or will I have to redraw or alter each line?
I'm trying to use it instead of my photoshop «not very legal» version.
There is a feature I really like in Photoshop and GIMP which is the ability to draw a line using pen/brush/eraser/any tool using the SHIFT modifier key. This really miss me in Paint.NET. You click somewhere, you move the cursor elsewhere, holding SHIFT you click again, and (using the tool you currently have selected) a perfect line is drawn between the two points.
The brush tool loses the outline of the tool as the diameter gets larger. e.g. at 175px there is a fill outline of the tool. At 200px only a semi-circle is shown.
