I have another paint app where it will do a brush mode that is a rubber-band mode. So if there is a brush that's 25 pixels wide and you go and click once somewhere and then move the cursor... a straight line rubberband appears connected to your cursor. When you click again, the brush is painted in a straight line to where you clicked. It's great when you are trying to quickly paint a straight line to match something in the image. Does PS have a brush mode like this? (I know that drawing paths can be stroked in straight lines, etc. but I need a brush mode that is quickly switchable to as I am speed painting thousands of images and brushing is fastest for this work).
Is there a way to create a rubber band effect (similar to drawing lines in Autocad) in drawings in Inventor. Possibly using ClientGraphics but not just inside of a DrawingView.
One drawing we have has a weird quirk. The rubber band line for the Distance command is black. The background of our AutoCAD is also black, which makes it very hard to see. This only seems to affect the Distance command as the rubber band for the Line command is grey (though the current layer is yellow).
I have confirmed this is limited to just one drawing, no matter what machine you open it on. The AutoCAD version we are using is Civil 3D 2011.
I have checked the following: DRAGMODE (auto), HIGHLIGHT (1), restored colors to default, made sure 3D views were not on, rendering off, UCS set to world.
Next step? Repairing the AutoCAD installation is not likely to fix the problem.
When I use the distance command and pick the first point the rubber band line doesn't appear and then when I pick the second point I get a distance, but I have no way of knowing exactly where the points I picked landed.
I saw another post about the rubber band being black against the black background, but that is not the problem.
When I turn Otrack on I get the rubber band, but I don't like Otrack on because it causes other problems. How to get the rubber band to work the way it did before?
I have a problem with PhotoShop CC. I also tested PhotoShop CS5 and PhotoShop CS6, having the same problems (last versions of them). Plugins for PhotoShop are not installed.  My System:  Windows 7 64 Bit with SP1  (newest updates german version) Intel Core i7-4770k CPU 3.5 Ghz RAM:  16 GB DDR3 GPU: GeForce GTX 760 2048 MB MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC MainBoard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming  Monitor: Asus PB248Q   1920 x 1200  60 Hz  (connected with Display Port)  All Drivers (GPU, ChipSet of MainBoard) are up to date.  My Problem is that the Brush or rubber tool is 0,5 to 1 seconds slower than the mouse cursor. The stroke trails behind. But the brush tool still runs smooth and fluently. Its just slower than the mouse. When mouse stops moving, the brush catch up. The brush even trails behind when cursor is moving slow. When cursor is moving faster, sbrush also moves faster, but brush is never as fast as cursor. Only when cursor does not move, brush catch up.  This even happens when simple brushes for example simple round brush with 100 hardness and 10 pixel of size are used. When removing Smooting in brush settings, brush tool become much faster, but not as fast as cursor. This behaviour occurs in 64 and 32 Bit Version of PhotoShop. Also, GPU Settings was changed (Basic, Normal, Advanced), but without results.  When Aero-Surface in windows 7 is disabled, brush tool works much faster, but not smooth and fluently anymore. This also happens when I am working with a document containing only one single layer.I also tested all GPU Settings in PhotoShop (Basic, Normal and Advance), still the same problem.  PhotoShop uses 60% of my Ram (8793 MB)  The strange thing is: When I installed PHotoShop CS5 on my 8 years old computer with Windows XP, Brush tool with same settings was as fast as mouse cursor and it runs really smooth and fluently. The main difference is that my new Computer is using Windows 7, the old one uses Windows XP 32 Bit.  Old System:  Windows XP 32 Bit AMd Athlon X2  3700+ 2 GB RAM GeForce 7800 GTX  (connected with DVI to monitor)  Can it be that PhotoShop has problems with Aero Surface of Windows 7? Or with Windows 7 64 Bit?Â
When using the brush tool what is the difference between using the brush in color mode on a normal layer vs using the brush in normal mode on a color mode layer?
I want to use a normal brush tool but ahve it side by side because I need to make a motorway, I want to make it on Photoshp but I need to know how to do that.
I'm trying to record a brush mode setting (eg clear, normal, behind) in an action.
But photoshop doesn't record anything when i click on the brush mode setting (it does record the brush when i click on it in the tool bar) Tools like the color picker also do not record, so the problem goed farther then just the brush mode setting.
I'm running Photoshop CC on a Wacom Cintiq Companion on Windows8.
Using the brush tool in CS3, I find I have no normal mode to choose in the options toolbar. The available blend modes start with "behind" and end with "luminosity," but there is no normal. Shouldn't I find this option here?
I am constantly switching the mode of the Brush tool from Normal, Lighten, Color, and Darken. The only way I've found to switch is to select the mode from the dropdown. Â I've trying creating actions to switch the mode but the actual mode selection is not recorded in the action. Â , I'd like to assign keyboard shortcuts that "select brush tool, set mode to Lighten", etc.
I'm currently jumping back and forward between quick mask mode and my standard layer. When I am in the standard layer the brush tool is performing as it should, but when I go into quick mask it is erasing my selection (red) rather than filling in where I draw!
I'm doing a lot of work cleaning old files up, and trying to stay in Content-Aware mode of spot healing brush. Switching back and forth from Lightroom, I usually find the radio button has switched back to "Create Texture" mode, which I do not want. I leave it in Content-Aware, but it switches on its own. Can't find any way to set it to stay where I put it.
When in brush mode, clicking "ctrl" switchs to color picker until yourelease. Is this shortcut editable? What if I want this to be set onAlt instead, for instance?
I could not find any shortcut which looks like it would do this in thekeyboard shortcuts list. Is there one? How to change this shortcut?
anyone know a good place to go for a rubber stamp tutorial or have any experience creating one themselves? im looking for something in the vein of 'conspiracy' or 'confidential' like the red rubber stamp you see on paper work that gets 'denied' or a paper that 'failed' in the movies. something you might see on a manila folder that says 'confidential' or 'conpsiracy'.
What is the best way to create an "inked rubber stamp" look?
I realized that you turn it into a bitmapped tif and colorize it in a layout program. I am mainly interested in ways to "weather" or "stress" bitmapped logos, etc. Is there a filter or is it done by manually?
I want to make a big NO boxed in with a line through it. I have it all layed out, but I simply cannot make it look like a rubber stamp. I made two layers, used an Underpainting Filter and a Spatter Brush Stroke filter and took out the white, but it still didn't look right.
I'm new to Photoshop and have been trying a few things to get better acquainted with it, one of those things is drawing and using a rubber stamp. With this aim in mind, I followed this tutorial: at the start when I click on New I chose 800 x 600 then chose a 'transparent' background, everything goes as it should through the tutorial right upto the end at the point I apply the 'spatter' effect it unfortunately doesn't have the same effect as it did with the non-transparent background. Also how do I actually 'use' or 'apply' the image to another image or letter?
I have been using Photoshop ver 5.0 for a couple of years, off and on, and never had a problem with the Rubber stamp tool until recently. It always worked. I just selected it, then the pen size, then held the alt key down to select some color pixels, then clicked where I wanted to paint.
It doesn't work anymore. As soon as I hold the alt key down and try to select a pixel, up pops a dialogue box saying, "Must define a pattern" ??? I have searched through the help index, tried various things, but cannot find the solution.
Running 5.5 I double clicked on the rubber stamp tool & cleared the aligned box in the rubber stamp options palette. Then I alt clicked in the image. Then I clicked & dragged in another part of the image. The cross cursor at the source point moved as if the aligned box was still checked. How do I get the rubber stamp to work in the non-aligned mode?
I've got a problem using the rubber stamp tool. I want to use it to clone some dust spots out on several photos which are part of a time-lapse scene. Therefore I thought it would be easy to record using the rubber stamp tool, then applying the action to all photos via a batch process.Â
However, it doesn't seem to work. All my other steps in the action occur, but not the rubber stamp tool. Same is true for the healing brush.Â
I am trying to create a distressed, rubber stamp effect in Photoshop and am having some difficulty with the orientation of some of the text inside a text wrap. The text on top appears just how I want it, but when I try to place text on the bottom, it appears upside-down. I've tried using text-warp as well, but it obviously distorts the text and I don't want that. Is there an easy way to have the text on the bottom of text-wrapped circle orient rightside-up?
I have installed CS4 on my desktop and my laptop. On the desktop version, the Clone tool looks and behaves exactly as it should and I have no problem with it.
However, on my laptop, the tool looks like a rubber stamp (the same icon as is in the palette) and does not work properly. Changing the brush size does no good because it's not a brush, just a rubber stamp (yes, I have chosen Clone, not Pattern).
the only thing I can think of is lack of horsepower in the laptop (for instance, only 512Mb of RAM)
I see if I apply and adjustment layer, it works for the whole clip but any filter outside of that or rubber stamp only lasts for a few frames. How do I apply them to the entire clip?
someone who knows stuff about animation. i need this banner to scroll from layer one to layer two like go up one pixel each time and take about 3 seconds.
I work for an aerial photography/photogrammetry firm and we are looking for some solutions to working with four band images. Our plane-mounted digital mapping camera has 8 different cameras in it which fire simultaneously. Four cameras are panchromatic and are eliminated from our final image leaving us with a red, green, blue and near infrared camera. We run post processing to combine the RAW data into a 16 bit, four band tiff image.
The issue that we're facing is editing these four band images in photoshop. We use Photoshop CS, CS2 and CS3. The restrictions that were finding in editing four-band imagery are:
(a) Cannot change color, can change brightness/contrast, but not in the fourth band (alpha 1)
(b) Cannot expand the canvas to combine two adjacent images and edit without losing the alpha-1 channel (near-infrared)
(c) Cannot create layers (cannot copy/paste). This is a major problem as we often need to place a different image over a warped area of the photo and properly align it.
suggest a good workflow or available plug-ins that will enable to edit all four bands at one time?
Rubber sheeting a pdf with 2014? It now asks you yo select an image. Since a pdf is not an image not sure how to accomplish this. WHY DID THEY CHANGE THIS?
