I was asked to edit an image that was originally made in Photoshop. I was sent the PSD file - from the person who designed the image - and opened it in Photoshop CS6. However, I cannot figure out how to edit it because there is only one layer now, called "Layer 1". Is there a way to expand the original layers or do something similar, so that I can edit the image properly?
I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.
I need to know how to select an image from a PDF file in Photoshop, and also rescale it so that i can put it onto Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 for a video with 720x576 PAL settings (its for a DVD!). Also, i have to make sure the image is not pixelated on the video.
The image should have "Diabolical Deranger" or "Deranged Diabolic"[which ever fancies you] written on it on a cool way with any cool background of your choice.. I'd suggest something matching with the text.. something dark and devilish? Also also, do keep in mind that it should be in a proportion to fit the facebook cover perfectly.
just started with my lightroom 4 / photoshop cs5 set up? when i edit a image in lightroom4 and export to photoshop cs5 ,the image apears to be over exposed ,quite a lot.i export from lightroom with lightroom adjustments and it keeps coming into photoshop overexposed.
I am using PS CS3. I would like to know if it is possible to save the edit history of a file - for example if I open a file I worked on a week ago I want to be able to find out what work had been done to it (eg levels, sharpening, curves etc). As far as I know, history is lost after a file is saved (in a flattened image).
I would like to do an edit / free transform to resize a layer in my image. I want to do this WHILE LOOKING AT a round path that I have created.
No problem in photoshop 7 , just turn on the path, select the image layer that I want to resize, edit/free transform and I can shrink the image while looking at the circular path to see how the image fits within the path.
Running Windows 7 Pro, 64bit on Intel i5, 2.80GHx, 12GB RAM, with ATI Radon 5770. All drivers are current. will crash after only one or two applications.
i put copyright text on my photos, i didn't flatten image but " save as" in JPEG,click "save" then before i close the photos , it said "save changes to the adobe photoshop document ...before closing?" then i clicked NO.
And now i opened these photos to change the size of the copyright text and year, i can't because there's no layer for the text, only a background which means the text and photo are in one layer. What should i do? or did i make a mistake somewhere?
how to scan an old 1888, 10x12 photo in two halves (left and right), and used the Elements Photomerge to combine the two shots. It worked quite well - slightly askew at the top edge, but the rest of the image appears to be well-stitched - to the naked eye, at least.
After sharpening the image, I went to Guided Edit and began using the brush to "heal" a few of the old marks on the image at full size - that worked well!. Until I moved my brush into the area that had been the left side, that is.. The brush no longer worked. Then I noted that the about 1/3 of the left side was not sharpened like the right side was, either! To test it further, I changed it to a black & white photo. Only that larger right section changed to black & white, and the left part of the image stayed it's old sepia color. I saved the images, closed and re-opened Elements - but had the same results. The left side just can't be edited.
Isn't there a way to edit the entire merged image?
I've saved the image as a high-quality JPEG, and also as Adobe Elements format - but they still won't fully edit. The two are large files - I was thinking that I'd need to save it at high-quality in order to end up with a nice retouched & sharpened 8x10, suitable for framing.
Also, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit on one laptop, and Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit on another..(I'm trying to get by with the Elements version I have, due to finances.)
When I move a photo from the ORGANIZER to EDITING (in Elements 10) the image looks different (color, contrast etc.) This has stopped me from ubgrading at this stage.
Whenever I open photos from Lightroom (that already have lightroom adjustments) edit in Photoshop CC only opens Photoshop but does not open the image.
If I open Images with "Edit in Photoshop" that DO NOT HAVE Adjustments, the image will open up in Photoshop correctly. I just came from Windows to Mac.
Why is the text size in the instructional boxes "File", "Edit", "Image" etc: so small that they are almost unreadable. I know its me, but I can't figure out how to fix it.
I have just upgraded to Lightroom 4.3 and now find I cannot edit images in Photoshop CS5.Shortcut does not work nor going to - edit in photoshop. Photoshop seem to not be linking as it is not highlighted when I click on it.I've tried reinstalling 4.3 but still cannot edit/send image files to Photoshop
I have an action which applies Levels and Curves to my black and white TIFFs. At the end it "saves as" a JPEG. Originally it saved them at quality level 10 but I re-recorded the action to set the quality at 12. However, since this change the action keeps saving as into the folder where the image I used for the re-recording was located.
I´m having trouble editing images from Acrobat Pro XI in Illustrator CS6. AI is inconsistent in how it saves the new image, sometimes it´s no problem, Acrobat updates the new image and it´s fine. Other times (could be the same image, only seconds later and without changing any settings) it wants me to save the new image on disk...?!
I want to open a ".AI" image and need to convert it into ".JPEG" format by using custom menu item in file menu.
I have done with menu item in file menu now I want to write a code that will convert a current active document (.ai) into a new (.jpeg) formate document.
I don’t know how to load an image into SDK ArtHandler and save as it with a new formate.
I'm a new Macbook Pro, Lightroom 3 and photoshop elements 10 user (PC went bang). what I'm doing wrong.
I've set PSE10 up in the preferences in Lightroom, but when I try to edit the image in PSE10 from LR3 the image doesn't open. The copy in LR3 is created and PSE10 opens to the initial screen with the option to edit or organize. I then click into edit, PSE10 opens but no image ?
I downloaded a vector image from Shutterstock that said "Your Text Here" implying you can edit the text. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to edit the text. When I open the image in illustrator I can select the text but not edit it. Removing each piece of the letter distorts the background.
And it is totally random. I use a differnt library for every shoot I do (weddings mainly) and sometimes when I edit the image in PS, it comes back fine. But the other times right to the top of the stack in front of the first picture of the day, miles away from the orginal! No ryme or reason. And yes in preferences in external editing I have clicked 'stack with orginal'. this is sucking up alot of my time haiving to reorganizing every picture I take into PS from LR.
When in Lightroom 2.3, you go to edit in and select Photoshop, it opens Photoshop CS6 but does not bring the image in. This has only happened recently and maybe I have done something to make this happen as it never used to happen.
I created a bitmap in draw 15" x 131" then right clicked the image and selected "Edit Bitmap". The image grew to 19" X 131"... I did this again just to verify and got the same results. I resamled the image back to 15". This is a big concern as we process all our printed images this way.
I am working with a project with Corel VideoStudio pro x2 that involves on-screen graphics on the videos. I use a transparent .png file that I put in the Overlay Track #1.
Original file:
Whenever I edit the video or the image, I get distortion around Music Television area. Somehow it looks like the writing Music Television wants to move / increase in size. When I play the project in the preview window, it looks okay.
After saving to a DVD file like MPEG2 file 720/560 it looks like this:
I used the same project on my laptop which has a better graphic card, Corel VideoStudio pro x4 and I get the same results. The image is so pixelated and curvy. I used a different video editing software though, the image looks much smoother:
