The image should have "Diabolical Deranger" or "Deranged Diabolic"[which ever fancies you] written on it on a cool way with any cool background of your choice.. I'd suggest something matching with the text.. something dark and devilish? Also also, do keep in mind that it should be in a proportion to fit the facebook cover perfectly.
I am trying to create a FB cover photo in Photoshop Elements. I have a background color. I am inserting an image on top but it is not blending with the background color. The image has a white space I want to send to the background. Can not figure this out.
I know that Facebook reduces the resolution for Facebook cover page and profile picture. However, I have noticed that there are many Pages that uploaded beautiful Cover photo without any reduced resolution (apparently).
For example: URL....can also check out these pages, they have pretty awesome looking Timeline photos!
I've tried using the "magic" size format of 850 x 350 , but it seems that the quality will still be reduced no matter what. The above pages' photos are always pretty clear and not blur like normal pages.
How to simply edit the text in the spine of hard cover, 40 page book in the book module? I can click into any other text window and edit and change attributes but I am locked out of editing text when it comes to the spine of the book.
I want to put an image on a page of a drawing of a newspaper or magazine cover. Its something that i cant do satisfactorily with Transform because the magazine cover in the drawing has curved edges since it folds back a little.
I am building my second book with Blurb, this time with LR4
it's going to be a small square and for the back and cover, I have built a file with photoshop and when I drop it to first page, no way I can "slide" it to cover the entire back+ cover
I created an image using the new Gimp 2.8 update, but when I try to upload the image to Facebook it gets all blurry. Any other photos I upload are fine, and I made another image in Gimp 2.6 of the same size (2400 pixels x 1800 pixels) which uploads normally, but for some reason no matter what I do the new picture made in 2.8 always uploads blurry.
I exported the image to jpeg format (although I also tried png) without messing with the export settings at all. Do I need to change them to make it upload to Facebook normally?
Is there an easy way to publish an image to FB's Wall, vs. creating or adding to a current album? Is there a special setting hiding somewhere in the Publish section?
I've used Lightroom 3, 4 and now 5 so I know my way around the software pretty well. Never had an issue like this in previous LR versions. Basically, when I Spot Edit a spot (such as a speck of dust that was on the sensor or lens) there is alway s a "ghost" of the speck that remains, no matter what I do. The Opacity is set to 100, yet the tool behaves as if it is set to 90. It happens with Clone and Heal. I have also tried adjusting the Feather setting, to no avail.
I have Photoshop Elements 9. I want to put a bar code jpeg image on the back cover of a book which I am creating and save it as jpeg and send to printer.
So I notice in Windows Explorer that some of the videos that I have created show an image of the video. Some show the begining of video which show the title in the cover image of the video. This is when I have explorer set to show medium or large icons. I there are way to setup that up so I can select what would be the image cover of the video file. That would be cool so that I can have the title showing in that image of that video file.
I've recently gotten into the craze of writing an ebook for the Amazon Kindle and decided to design my own ebook cover. The biggest problem I've come upon is the shrinkage of the image for preview purposes when people are browsing the Kindle selection.
The original size of my image is 2000 x 1200 (the recommended 1 to .6 ratio for Kindle covers). The book looks great in the original size, but when shrunk down to about 100 x 60, the text becomes pixelated. I've tried the various font styles (mostly sticking to the sans-serif), but all have the pixelated look. I use the built-in text tool for paint.net. I tried making the text as larger as possible across the book cover, but the text still looks pixelated.
Is there a plugin for text that is used for ebook covers to 'merge' them into the cover images to blend in more and not look so sharp?
Here are two versions of my ebook cover. The Original Size can be found here.
I'm trying to take the square cd cover image and make a cassette tape cover, or j-card, with that image.
Here's a picture of a j-card template.
Right now all I want is the front cover, spine and tail. I wasn't sure if the templates I found were compatible so i tried to make my own template. What I did was make three separate ones. One for the front cover, one for the spine and one for the tail. I was able to take the square image and use the scale tool to make the image fit inside the front cover. The first problem I had was not knowing if the image quality was good enough to print. It seemed easier to use inches when I made the template and not pixels. So I made the front cover template 4 in by 2.5625 in. I exported the image as a jpg but the final image looked too small. So now I'm not sure how many pixels I need for a printable picture.
Now with the spine and tail most likely I'll just chose a background color and type over it...Artist, Album Name, Song Titles ext. My plan was to use the jpg images I exported and paste them together, then save that final image as a jpg. and print.
I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.
I was asked to edit an image that was originally made in Photoshop. I was sent the PSD file - from the person who designed the image - and opened it in Photoshop CS6. However, I cannot figure out how to edit it because there is only one layer now, called "Layer 1". Is there a way to expand the original layers or do something similar, so that I can edit the image properly?
I need to know how to select an image from a PDF file in Photoshop, and also rescale it so that i can put it onto Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 for a video with 720x576 PAL settings (its for a DVD!). Also, i have to make sure the image is not pixelated on the video.
just started with my lightroom 4 / photoshop cs5 set up? when i edit a image in lightroom4 and export to photoshop cs5 ,the image apears to be over exposed ,quite a lot.i export from lightroom with lightroom adjustments and it keeps coming into photoshop overexposed.
I am using PS CS3. I would like to know if it is possible to save the edit history of a file - for example if I open a file I worked on a week ago I want to be able to find out what work had been done to it (eg levels, sharpening, curves etc). As far as I know, history is lost after a file is saved (in a flattened image).
I would like to do an edit / free transform to resize a layer in my image. I want to do this WHILE LOOKING AT a round path that I have created.
No problem in photoshop 7 , just turn on the path, select the image layer that I want to resize, edit/free transform and I can shrink the image while looking at the circular path to see how the image fits within the path.
Running Windows 7 Pro, 64bit on Intel i5, 2.80GHx, 12GB RAM, with ATI Radon 5770. All drivers are current. will crash after only one or two applications.
i put copyright text on my photos, i didn't flatten image but " save as" in JPEG,click "save" then before i close the photos , it said "save changes to the adobe photoshop document ...before closing?" then i clicked NO.
And now i opened these photos to change the size of the copyright text and year, i can't because there's no layer for the text, only a background which means the text and photo are in one layer. What should i do? or did i make a mistake somewhere?
how to scan an old 1888, 10x12 photo in two halves (left and right), and used the Elements Photomerge to combine the two shots. It worked quite well - slightly askew at the top edge, but the rest of the image appears to be well-stitched - to the naked eye, at least.
After sharpening the image, I went to Guided Edit and began using the brush to "heal" a few of the old marks on the image at full size - that worked well!. Until I moved my brush into the area that had been the left side, that is.. The brush no longer worked. Then I noted that the about 1/3 of the left side was not sharpened like the right side was, either! To test it further, I changed it to a black & white photo. Only that larger right section changed to black & white, and the left part of the image stayed it's old sepia color. I saved the images, closed and re-opened Elements - but had the same results. The left side just can't be edited.
Isn't there a way to edit the entire merged image?
I've saved the image as a high-quality JPEG, and also as Adobe Elements format - but they still won't fully edit. The two are large files - I was thinking that I'd need to save it at high-quality in order to end up with a nice retouched & sharpened 8x10, suitable for framing.
Also, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit on one laptop, and Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit on another..(I'm trying to get by with the Elements version I have, due to finances.)
When I move a photo from the ORGANIZER to EDITING (in Elements 10) the image looks different (color, contrast etc.) This has stopped me from ubgrading at this stage.
I have edited a series of photographs that I want to upload to Facebook, and it seems that any file I save from Photoshop CS6 will not upload. Facebook reports the following error:
Security Check Required A security check is required to proceed.Below is a snap shot from my Save for Web dialog box, and I don't see anything there that would prevent me from uploading the said image to Facebook
