View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to click and drag an image with the mouse when using Full Screen Preview under the Edit Tab.
I see the hand icon and the scroll bars when the whole image can't fit on the screen but when I left click it's like I hit the Esc button.
Clicking the scrollbars will work but isn't as convenient. Under the Manage tab it works correctly. I have reset the workspace with no luck.
I use this feature a lot and would like to know if others have this problem.
The problem existed in X5 SP2 and now X5 SP3.
So I received a DVD with an eps file on it from a graphics company. I was informed that I could open it in Illustrator and start editing the individual graphics within the file. But when I open it, it is just one image and won't let me edit it.
There are no locks on the image layers.
The graphics company told me that it was originally created in Indesign and then saved as an eps, so I don't really know what to do now.
It won't open and let me edit in any of the Adobe programs. I need these graphics to edit!
I just installed GIMP. My experience is with office suites, like WordPerfect and Sun Open Office.
First, is this the official forum for gimp.org?
I need to edit a GIF image file. I have it loaded and converted to RGB. I cannot find anything on any menu about edit a GIF file. It is basically a horizontal rectangle with text on the left and a color on the right, and I just need to replace the text and change the font, without disturbing anything else. It needs to "fit" back into a webpage afterwards. As far as I can see, there is only one layer, if that makes any difference.
Why is the text size in the instructional boxes "File", "Edit", "Image" etc: so small that they are almost unreadable. I know its me, but I can't figure out how to fix it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Paint.net today and been playing around. It is pretty amazing. I made an image, and then added another image to it, which was a word with a white background. I made the background transparent using the magic wand etc... And stuck it on. The problem comes when I want to upload the image using an image hosting website. They wont allow .pdn files to be converted and if I save as PNG, the transparency is lost. Is there a way to convert from .PDN to .PNG without losing any of the features I have added?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to convert a table from .doc to an image file.
If I screen print it and edit in paint.net the quality deteriorates.
I copied the table from the doc file and directly pasted in paint.net
This is what i get after pasting it,
My question:
How do I get a white background for this table? I want the quality same as you can find in the word doc. I used paint bucket but again the quality doesn't look the same.
I'm trying to open a .tga image file with Paint.NET.
But instead of the actual image, I just get the grey-and-white transparency grid.
I can see that the image seems to be somewhere behind, because when I use the color-selecting tool on it, I can have the various colors of the image in the color window, with a 0 alpha-transparency.
Is there a way to disable this transparency so I can see the image and be able to modify it ? (I should mention that there is only on layer to that image.)
I want to create images with minimal file size using .net.

I did not "Save" the altered image. Autosave is turned off.
I'm trying to create a script which will write the filename in/on an open image itself
I recorded a script which
draws a rectangle
merges it down
writes/types some words on the rectangle
and merges that down
Rather than type the same thing in each image, I'd like to write the file name instead omto the image
The applicable section of script seems to be:
Select all # Text
App.Do( Environment, 'TextEx', {
[A number of text tool parameters omitted]
},
[Code]....
The key line seems to be that: 'Characters': u'File Name Here?',
(the 'File Name Here' was, of course, what I typed in with the Text Tool
And I'm thinking I somehow have to use App.TargetDocument.Title, perhaps as a variable or system variable, but I have not been able to figure out how to do it.
I'm pretty good with WordPerfect's PerfectScript, and can sometimes muddle my way though some JaveScript, but this is beyond my ability
I will be processing thousands of files ovcer time, typically 100-500 at a time....
I have an image file 1779 x 2685 96 dpi that I want to take to Staples and get a 24" x 36" poster made out of it. How can I change the original image file using PaintShop Pro 5X so that the ppi meets the Staples requirement which is at least 180 ppi? and do I need to change the size of my image file to fit my specific poster size properly without losing any quality of the original computer image file?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to save a layered image as an .apng file [and set the delay time etc], which I would then convert to a gif using apng2gif. I found that the quality was turned out better than the other ways I've used to try and make gifs, and it seemed easier.
Anyway the other day I had to format my laptop and as a result all the programs were uninstalled. When I re-installed Paint.net I found that I couldn't save images as .apng anymore.
As far as I can remember the only changes I made to Paint.net were downloading some pyrochild effects.

I want to create a image file with six passport photos on a 4x6 photo print page. To do that I was asked to do the following:
take a photo yourself, crop it down to a 2x2 square, then copy and paste this into a 2 by 3 tile pattern (4x6 in. canvas size). You now have them print out a 4x6 photo
I don't know how to "tile pattern"
How can I do this in Paint.net

Just gotta do a A6 Flyer which will be printed by a priniting company.
Just checking should the bleed size be 2mm?
I made a flyer in Photoshop, I saved it as a JPG. Then I went into my email client AOL to insert it into the body of the email to send out to my clientele. I sent it to myself first to check the resolution etc. The problem is I cannot get it to keep the orginal aspect ration within the email. I compared it to other flyers sent to me, that were produced in Photoshop, I checked all the specs and everything in them matched mine. When I put them into the email the retained their orginal format.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to print a flyer that has art on the front and back. I copied the images from Photoshop CS to Microsoft Word on page one and two. I then printed page one and then turned the page over and printed page two on the back. Though I have the same settings for page one and two in Word, it's not aligning.
Is there another way to do this so I can get perfect alignment for the front and back of the page. Can I do this with Photoshop or should I use a table in Microsoft Word or should I use another program altogether like Adobe Pagemaker or Quarkexpress.
I'm designing a simple flyer that will be printed (I have little experience in the print world) and it might need to bleed to the edges, though I'm waiting to hear back from the person I'm designing it for.
If it does bleed to the edges, do I only need to make sure that the artwork on my artboard touches the edges of my artboard? OR is there something else that needs to be done?
