View 2 RepliesI want to make a lightsaber video (10mins-15mins) and im not sure if I should use the frame by frame method. That would take days upon days to finish. Does anyone know any other methods to create the lightsaber effect without doing it frame by frame?

I'm trying to create my own Star Wars comic, and of course, being the traditionalist that I am, I wanted to start it out with an opening crawl.
The problem here is that I need a way to 'tilt' the image of the block of text so that it resembles the opening crawls from the movies. I've tried a few ways, but I can't find anything that does what I want it to do. I thought about 'pinching' the top section, but the selection tool doesn't have this function and I can't find anything in the tools to create this effect.
Am I going to have to import the text into a modeling program, tilt it, and render it as a 3D object?
I want to create the movie star glow. Take lines out and make the face younger. How can I do this without buying Portrait Professional.

So that all you would have is the usual eye ball and then a star for the main part of the eye.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe following is a link to a tutorial creating a diamond effect on a word.
[URl]
At 4:35 into it, the author begins creating the shiny parts of the diamonds by drawing a path, copying it and then rotating the copy ninety degrees.
I'm having trouble just creating that first path the way it's done in the tutorial. First, it says to choose a brush of 17, make sure it's white, then switch to the pen tool and draw a straight white line. However, mine doesn't look like that, how it splays outs. I just get a straight white line. Then, when I try to tranform the copy by rotating it 90 degrees I get an error message saying "Could not rotate because the initial bounding rectangle is empty."
How the star like sparkles were added to this image. What in your opinion is the best way to approach this?(There is probably numerous ways to do this I imagine).
View 6 Replies View RelatedHas anyone out there had experience with creating a cross star filter effect using PS7? I realize that in an ideal world the effect would be created on the camera lens, but who lives in a perfect world? Photoshop allows us to turn our imperfections into perfections. I would like to create a 4 point and a 6 point cross star effect, but am clueless on were to start.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was watching a tutorial about PSE 11 and then noticed that under my photo in the organizer I do not see the date, time, & star option. Do I have to turn something on to see them. Also I do not see a place under the photos to put a caption. I'm using a mac book pro.
View 5 Replies View RelatedUsing Elements 11, cannot get the Star Rating bar to appear under images imported from file, although the intro to the program shows this as happening automatically. I have also created an account, but the question does not seem to be get a post.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently use a different photo organizer and wish to migrate to PSE11, provided it meets this criteria. I have over 200K images that have already been tagged, and I need granularity in searching for items. I normally search in a cumulative fashion, where each criterion I add further reduces the number of images that meet all the criteria. Does PSE11 have a "meets ALL criteria" option, or rather, does it only display results that "meet ANY criteria" that I may have specified? In other words, the more criteria I add, the less images I should see that are filtered based on ALL the criteria.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created a star with the star tool, but I wish to edit the number of points and the radius. It seems like once you create the shape, you can't go back and edit it, you have to create an entire new star. Seems silly that I would have to count how many points I had before and create an entire new star. It should be easy to just select the star and be able to add or subtract points and change the radius, just like when creating a new one, just off of the already created star. I have tried and can't seem to get it to work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a path that's coming out from an arbitrary angle, and I want a star at the end of the line, but perfectly centered so that the line bisects one of its inner arrows, if that makes sense.
I've made a separate star and a separate path, but I can't seem to hand-align it correctly.
When I import files from Photo Mechanic to LR4.1 the star ratingsfro PM show in LR, but when I then export again from LR the star ratings are gone in Photo Mechanic. Obviously I need to tag somewhere in the prefs, problem is I can't find where?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to keep my star ratings on my files after I export them to JPG. My export settings are set to keep "All" metadata, but this doesn't seem to change it.
