View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to make a really long-exposure shot using my Canon 40D DSLR. If I just set the camera to Bulb and take a long exposure, I get a lot of noise that eventually wipes out the image. I understand that you can achieve the equivalent of a long-exposure by combining several (many?) shorter exposures of the same scene. This is routinely done in Astrophotography and other areas, but I don't know how to do it. I tried googling some of the terms, but I guess I didn't use the right terminology because the search didn't turn up what I wanted.
I'm using CS6 on a Mac Mini with OSX 10.8.4.
My wife took my picture in front of the UW Husky Stadium but the video screen above me is overexposed (washed out). So I took a separate shot of the screen with proper exposure. As you can probably see, I took this shot much closer to the screen. I want to replace the overexposed screen witht the properly exposed screen in the picture of me.
Because the properly exposed shot was taken closer to the screen and maybe at a different angle (rotation) those would have to be adjusted.
I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 running on Windows 7. I have used it for a while but am an absolute beginner with anything more than the simplest functions so I would need all the steps spelled out in detail.
I saw many images with stars (like a flash),and I don't know how to do that.
They usually do that with diamonds, glasses etc..
After processing images in Lightroom 5, I exported them as jpgs to another folder, which I intend to upload to a printer. However, the stars i used to rate the images appear in the upper left corner of the jpg. Why did this happen and how can I get rid of the visible stars?

how to make a star rounded object like the in the picture if im correct in uploading it
I have got a problem by modeling a roof. The first picture attached shows it right at the moment. I want to keep the star one can see in the center of the picture but the edges look at bit problematic because it consist of 3 former independent cubes. The edges are shown in the second picture.
My question is if it is possible to make the star consist of squares to model it a bit easier. I use maya 2012 education.
I'm trying to catch up with this tutorial: [URL]
But I've got two problems
Firstly: I am trying to draw this shape:[URL]
Now is there anyway to select all those edges and reshape all at the same time to get to that shape drawn in the article (The first photo I have posted) ?
Second problem:
I don't understand this: [URL]
What does the article mean by "Nodes Tool"? It's written there that I should draw a triangle using the polygon tool and then using Nodes tool > Make selected nodes symmetric I will get that shape in the photo above, But I cannot find neither the Nodes tool nor the symmetric nodes option I'm using Adobe Illustrator CC
mirror type effect, combine the two images to make a perfect symetrical image. How is this done?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have a bunch of shots taken using natural light - the shots all have completely different exposure and white balance adjustments.
Now that the shots feel like they've been shot at the same time of day (and on the same day) we'd like to start adjusting the white balance accross multiple shots - but use the current white balance/exposure from each individual shot as the starting point - not reset the adjustments.
Kind of like baking the current settings or making adjustments on top of current adjustments - or make new adjustments relative to the current adjustments.
I'm trying to combine two surfaces to make one. I saw lots of people saying create new surface and paste the two in the new surface. Is there a way to create a copy besides doing the copy base, because that keeps causing my AutoCAD to error.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I took a photo back in January (so it can't really be reshot) and I'm having trouble removing the car(s) that appeared in the last couple of seconds on the right.
I've tried and it's not as simple as it seems (ie the road isn't just "black")
I come on these forums sometimes, to browse.
Anyway, I have a "fairly" advanced knowledge of photoshop,
and i finally posed myself a "particular" question on a particular "effect".
So i regestered, and here comes the nutshell (question) :
I've seen these quite often in still images, but also in videos.
They're "light" trails, like fire, but alot brighter, like night lights under a shakey mobile phone camera.
When doing architectural photography, its often desired to have motion blur on the people so as to obscure their faces. Unfortunately it needs to look realistic, and I've just been doing it by hand, but it seems like there should be an automatic way when you have two images like this:
Obviously I am able to do this by hand somewhat decently, but that's not what I'm after. I want a way to do automatic motion blur, and I want the trails to look realistic.
i would like to know if any one has a tutorial on how to make matrix style bullet trails/riples on an image in photoshop 7.
does anyone use 3ds max,
i would be interested on being able to do this effect on video.
does anyone know of a tutorial to create a large realistic-ish star? Right now I'm using a lens flare on a layer with the blending mode set to color dodge.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIt has been quite a while since I have posted. And in that period, my Photoshop skills have improved greatly. I am still learning a few new techniques and I just started working on brushing. There is a certain technique that I see quite often and would love to learn how to do. I'll post a few examples so you guys can see the effect that I am leaning towards.
