View 3 RepliesI am trying to shoot a panorama (6 - 7 photos) and merge the photos using Photoshop. Photoshop is doing a nice job of merging the scenes. However, the shade of the sky on each photo is a little different (the buildings and other objects look fine, or at least differences aren't perceptible) thus, I have distinct lines between each photo in the sky (or water) areas. How can I correct this in Photoshop (I'm a casual PS user, and I have PS CS2) so that all the sky (and water) areas look the same?

My question is this: Should we shoot the pictures as RAW files then bring them into Photoshop and save as PSD or do we shoot the products as JPEGS? When shooting JPEGS then if we want to save them as EPS what will happen with the quality of the images? If we shoot them as RAW images then bring them into PS and save as PSD then EPS what do we gain by doing it that way? What is the right way to do it and why?
View 6 Replies View RelatedShooting 'wider' vertically when doing panoramas and using the stitching in Photoshop CS5?
i.e. : if I shoot frames in panoramic and then do a slight tilt up pass and a slight tilt down pass, when I auto align the layers in stitching, will Photoshop have any clue as to what I'm trying to do? Does it is good for the software if I make a much larger canvas first to allow for that space?
I shoot a lot of 90 and 180 panoramics for my job and would like to know which is the most recommended layout type to use.I'll get extreme bowtie sides or the layers will not match up if there are close foreground objects in a wide.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe following is a link to a tutorial creating a diamond effect on a word.
[URl]
At 4:35 into it, the author begins creating the shiny parts of the diamonds by drawing a path, copying it and then rotating the copy ninety degrees.
I'm having trouble just creating that first path the way it's done in the tutorial. First, it says to choose a brush of 17, make sure it's white, then switch to the pen tool and draw a straight white line. However, mine doesn't look like that, how it splays outs. I just get a straight white line. Then, when I try to tranform the copy by rotating it 90 degrees I get an error message saying "Could not rotate because the initial bounding rectangle is empty."
How the star like sparkles were added to this image. What in your opinion is the best way to approach this?(There is probably numerous ways to do this I imagine).

Has anyone out there had experience with creating a cross star filter effect using PS7? I realize that in an ideal world the effect would be created on the camera lens, but who lives in a perfect world? Photoshop allows us to turn our imperfections into perfections. I would like to create a 4 point and a 6 point cross star effect, but am clueless on were to start.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have ONE large 1hr AVI file captured from a DV camcorder. I have used Corel Videostudio to "split by scene", and that works fine, all clips are cpatured. BUT the shooting date for the clips are shown as the same date and time for all clips.
Where can I see the actual shooting date for each clip? I tried to use the old Win Movice maker on a WinXP machine, and here it works fine.
In corel VS I also tried to take one clip in the middle of the file and used the shared function to create an DV AVI file. This file I imported to VideoStudio - and now the date and time for this single clip is right. Unfortunately if I a convert all clips into one single file again I still have the problem.
I have OSX 10.7.2 loaded on my MacBook Pro. All was well prior to Lion , but now I find that my 5D will not shoot tethered on the MBP
The software recognises the camera but will not fire it remotly or download image files when the canera is fired from the camera release. My 1Dslll works just fine
My iMac still has 10.6.8 and that works fine with the 5D.
Lightroom is Version 3.5
If I can't get it to work with the 5D I'll just have to reinstall Snowy.
We shooted tethered into LR 4.3 using EOS Utility. Every attempt to shoot tethered FROM LR 4.3 has met with failure. I reread all the threads concerning this issue and found none included a solution. Is there one or has this functionality been dismissed? LR 4.3 is running on Macs with OS 10.8.2 and 10.7.5.
What we are trying to do is shoot with 5D Mark IIs tethered with EOS Utility and 5D Mark IIIs tethered with Lightroom at the same time. We have not been succesful getting the Mark IIIs to tether at all. We are trying to avoid using Sneakerware through CF cards and readers. Workflow time is critical.
