View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter I found I could not open raw files from my new Nikon D3200 in Elements 10, and did a couple hours of searching the web site, I upgraded to Elements 11. Elements 11 also will not open the raw files from the D3200
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been using Photoshop Elements 10 to edit raw .NEF files from my Nikon D3000 with no problems. Recently I purchased a Nikon D3200 and I shoot in raw .NEF files using that also but Photoshop Elements 10 will not recognize those .NEF files to edit. The error I'm getting is saying the file type is not correct.

HW & SW: Nikon 3200: Apple MacBook Pro OS v. 10.8.5, Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, Adobe Lightroom 5, Adobe DNG Converter
I had a Nikon D60 and used a removable card to store images. No problem. One week ago, I bought a Nikon D3200 and still use the same memory cards I had used with the D60. I have taken about 100 pictures in Aperture, Shutter and Automatic mode, all in RAW format.
Am using Nikon Transfer to import the images from the card to the MacBook.
Photoshop will open JPEG images captured from the D3200 in the JPEG format, but not those captured in RAW format.
I can preview the images on the D3200, but when I download to the Mac, the images do not open in Photoshop Elements 11, or in Adobe DNG 8.2, or in Adobe Lightroom 5.
Photoshop failure message is: “Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. Please visit the Camera Raw documentation for additional information.”
DNG Converter failure message is: “The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files.”
Adobe Lightroom failure message is: “The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom.”
I have downloaded most recent versions of Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe DNG. I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. When I try to open or import the images, the same failure messages occur.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHas Lightroom 5 now a solution for the tethered shooting with Nikon cameras where no save on the CF/SD cards takes place?
If not, will this covered in the future?
I love tethered Shooting but as default (at least for Nikon) Lightroom does only save the file on the computer, not on the memory card.
Now I want to have a backup of the image file on the memory card additionally to downloading it. The tethering software digiCamControl can do this with my camera, so it is technically possible.
So how can I achieve this using Lightroom tethering?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe will soon be shooting our company products in-house using a Nikon 5000. My question is this: Should we shoot the pictures as RAW files then bring them into Photoshop and save as PSD or do we shoot the products as JPEGS? When shooting JPEGS then if we want to save them as EPS what will happen with the quality of the images? If we shoot them as RAW images then bring them into PS and save as PSD then EPS what do we gain by doing it that way? What is the right way to do it and why?
View 6 Replies View RelatedDeleting files and saving files brings up an error message. Files can't be deleted from lightroom which makes editing a nightmare. Also Saving Files (raw of jpeg), brings up an error message everytime.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently replaced my hard disk on my i Mac and having installed CS3 plus Mountain Lion operating system it appears that CS3 no longer reads the Nikon raw (NEFF) files. It was all right before I re-installed everything on my new disk and worked perfectly so the systems are compatible with the raw files.
