After I reinstalled my harddisk and my CS3, Bridge and PS will not open the RAW files from my Nikon D90. Wgat do I do?

I could not open RAW files from my Nikon D90 (saved as NEF files). So I just bought CS4 upgrade to see if I could overcome the problem. No luck.�I also downloaded Camera Raw 4.4.1.85. I can see the file metadata -- showing that the files are NEF. But whenever I try to open one, I get the message: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."� This is the same message I got before when using CS2.�I cannot attach an example NEF file because they are too large --- but tell me where to send one if needed...�

I have PS CS5 and I recently updated my camera to a Nikon D600. I shoot in RAW and when I tried to open photos to edit, PS said I needed to update my Camera Raw plugin. I found the most recent plugin for CS5 and photos still won't open

What do I need to do to get them to work? Will I have to bite the bullet and update to CS6 or is there a way around it?

When I try to open raw NEF files from a Nikon D600 with Photoshop CS5 I get: "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw"

Nikon D600, however, is among the camera models listed as compatible with Camera Raw CS5.

I have never had any problem in Camera Raw CS5 and older versions with raw NEF files from a Nikon D80 camera. Is there an update for CS5 to make it compatible with Nikon D600 raw NEF files?

I just purchased a Nikon D7000. Shot some RAW files and tried to download to iPhoto, not possible. SO, installed Nikon VIEW NX2, and Transfer 2. RAW images downloaded to my computer (late 2008 Macbook Pro, Leopard 10.5.8, Camera RAW plug-in 6) into ViEW 2. But showing the followiing format: _DSC001.NEF Normally, it should read: DSC_001.NEF

SO within the Nikon software, I can work on the image, but I cannot export it into PS. It comes up with an error that the image format is unreadable. (Nor can I find how to get it out of VIEW NX2 , but that might just be my lack of reading all the info there, will see)

I contacted Nikon and they told me to change something in Image Capture in my MAC apps. I went there, but Image Capture was already set to the change they asked me to do.

I tried to download again, but same problem. I tried to download into iPhoto, in order to try and get it into PS, but it wouldn't. All files were unreadable.
JPEG, however, does download, with both file formats, and opensin iPhoto and PS, whether there is a _ first or a letter first.

SO, I don't know what to do. I am assuming all my plug-in's are up to date.

My D70 RAW transfers fine!!! The D7000, not.

Any info out there??? Nikon has not replied back a second time when I responded to them.

Just purchased Photoshop CS2 and I haven't been able to open Nikon NEF (RAW) files from my Nikon D70s. The Camera RAW 3.0 plug-in is present in the Photoshop Plug-in directory. I get the error message, "Could not complete your request becuase it is not the right kind of document." I have NEF files from a Nikon D70 that open with out a problem. I can import the files without a problem with the bridge, but once I try to edit a file, I get the error message.
