This discussion is actually a follow on to an earlier one where I thought the issue was resolved. I am using CS5 extended 64 bit with WIN 7 64bit and ACR version 6.7.
I verified the ACR version checking for updates and was informed I am up to date. According to the ADOBE site ACR v 6.7 is available to open Nikon D800e raw files. However when I try and open these raw files there is a message that the camera model is not supported.
I am planning to buy a Nikon D800e, and I am told that NEF files from this model are not supported with ACR and CS5. Is this correct and is there a workaround?

I can import them to Photoshop CS6 and use them in photoshop but cannot find any way to get them into Lightroom. For a while my photos were partially importing and some NEF files werent on the first few tries (but subsequently did). I have updated LR, updated Camera RAW, updated the MAC operating system, and have a newer version of PS (CS6). I have tried from the camera directly and through a card reader with multiple cards but nothing works.

I have tried this with both the lens profile on and off, also the colors are over saturated even with the sliders set at 0. The NX2 and CaptureOne files appear almost identical, while there is a great difference in the ACR 7.1 files that can come close to being correctable but not quite.

Deleting files and saving files brings up an error message. Files can't be deleted from lightroom which makes editing a nightmare. Also Saving Files (raw of jpeg), brings up an error message everytime.

Nikon D600, however, is among the camera models listed as compatible with Camera Raw CS5.

RAW images downloaded to my computer (late 2008 Macbook Pro, Leopard 10.5.8, Camera RAW plug-in 6) into ViEW 2. SO within the Nikon software, I can work on the image, but I cannot export it into PS. It comes up with an error that the image format is unreadable. (Nor can I find how to get it out of VIEW NX2 , but that might just be my lack of reading all the info there, will see)

I contacted Nikon and they told me to change something in Image Capture in my MAC apps. I went there, but Image Capture was already set to the change they asked me to do.

I tried to download again, but same problem. I tried to download into iPhoto, in order to try and get it into PS, but it wouldn't. All files were unreadable.
JPEG, however, does download, with both file formats, and opensin iPhoto and PS, whether there is a _ first or a letter first.

SO, I don't know what to do. I am assuming all my plug-in's are up to date.

My D70 RAW transfers fine!!! The D7000, not.

Any info out there??? Nikon has not replied back a second time when I responded to them.
