Photoshop :: ACR And Nikon D800e Raw Files
Dec 20, 2012This discussion is actually a follow on to an earlier one where I thought the issue was resolved. I am using CS5 extended 64 bit with WIN 7 64bit and ACR version 6.7.
I verified the ACR version checking for updates and was informed I am up to date. According to the ADOBE site ACR v 6.7 is available to open Nikon D800e raw files. However when I try and open these raw files there is a message that the camera model is not supported.

Oct 26, 2012I am planning to buy a Nikon D800e, and I am told that NEF files from this model are not supported with ACR and CS5. Is this correct and is there a workaround?

May 26, 2013I am trying to get a NEF files made on a Nikon D800E to Import to Lightroom 4.4 with Camera raw 7.4. I get an error that states the following files were not imported because they could not be read.

I can import them to Photoshop CS6 and use them in photoshop but cannot find any way to get them into Lightroom. For a while my photos were partially importing and some NEF files werent on the first few tries (but subsequently did). I have updated LR, updated Camera RAW, updated the MAC operating system, and have a newer version of PS (CS6). I have tried from the camera directly and through a card reader with multiple cards but nothing works.

Mar 30, 2012I just shot my first batch of RAW images using the new Nikon D800. When I downloaded the images using Bridge the thumbnails in the download dialog shows the images. But after download the images are not being shown. Instead I get an icon. If I double click on an image I get a message that camera RAW doesn't recognize the file and a recommendation to update.

I have checked updates from within Bridge and from Photoshop and both tell me that everything is up to date. Photoshop tells me the camera RAW plug in is 6.6 and that is the latest shown on the Adobe download page. According the the information page 6.6 is compatible with the D800.

Jun 17, 2012I'm finding that the corners of the D800E nef files have focus problems that are not apparent with NX2 and CaptureOne files. I have tried this with both the lens profile on and off, also the colors are over saturated even with the sliders set at 0. The NX2 and CaptureOne files appear almost identical, while there is a great difference in the ACR 7.1 files that can come close to being correctable but not quite.
