-- 1.16GB Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 folder;

-- 10.5MB Akamai_NetSession_Installer application; and a
-- .98GB PhotoshopElements_11_LS15.7z file.

What am I to do with these files? Can I put them in the trash? Do I need to save them somewhere for some reason, and if so, why and where?

Mar 30, 2012I just shot my first batch of RAW images using the new Nikon D800. When I downloaded the images using Bridge the thumbnails in the download dialog shows the images. But after download the images are not being shown. Instead I get an icon. If I double click on an image I get a message that camera RAW doesn't recognize the file and a recommendation to update.

I have checked updates from within Bridge and from Photoshop and both tell me that everything is up to date. Photoshop tells me the camera RAW plug in is 6.6 and that is the latest shown on the Adobe download page. According the the information page 6.6 is compatible with the D800.

When I'm using a card reader that does not require batteries, is it because they are Leica DNG files??? I have managed to drag and drop instead but would prefer to use "get photos from camera".

Oct 2, 2012I typically use GIMP 2.6. Computer crashed recently so now I've downloaded 2.8. When I download ABR files into the brushes folder, the program won't start. It wigs out and doesn't work. I copied abr files just fine into my GIMP 2.6. Why is this happening?
I even went so far as to find GIMP 2.6 on the web for download. But the same problem. There are strange 'VBR' files now that didn't used to be in my old brush folder but are suddenly there now.
(and 'gimp doesn't accept abr files' my old 2.6 accepted them JUST fine. No fancy converter or anything).
