May 3, 2006i just need to know where to extract the text i downloaded from this website.
View 2 Repliesi just need to know where to extract the text i downloaded from this website.
View 2 RepliesEverytime i try to download the Extract Filter from my disc i get a message from windows saying "Windows can not open this file. File: ExtractPlus.8BF"
Then it says that windows needs to know what program created the file and that it can search online or i can tell it what program created it. Neither option enables the download.
I have a drawing which has hundreds of levels on and i'm trying to establish what the MEAN level is and the AVERAGE level. I thought the best way might be to extract the text to excel and perform it there but at the moment the only way i can do it is to copy and paste the text and its taking me forever. Is there a way to either a) extract text to excel or b) calculate a MEAN value based on texted selected?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI work for a translation company and I've installed a Trial Copy of Corel Draw X5.
I have a 6-page document with several text areas (the Obect Manager sees them as Artistic Areas [I think]).
I'm trying to extract all the text into a text (prefferably an XML), file translate the text using Trados, then import the translated text file back into the Corel Draw Document, with the appropriate text in place of the original text.
I've tried using Extract / Merge text, but this doesn't seem to work.
Gimp 2.6.8 on Linux openSUSE 11.3
I need to extract text and font from a text layer. No problem, I thought, with gimp-text-layer-get-text and gimp-text-layer-get-font.
But I find that the original text layer was cropped withplug-in-autocrop-layer. Nevertheless Gimp lets me edit the text with the text edit tool - after a confirmation dialog.
But I can't get the text with script-fu. Is there a way to manage it? There are many files involved.
I was wondering of there was a place I could download .psd files for text editing such as this one for free.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to extract all the texts in a illustrator file to a txt file. which could be done like this:
Â
var docObj=app.activeDocument;
var tfObj=docObj.textFrames;
var myTextFrames = [];
for(var m=0; m < tfObj.length; m++){
myTextFrames.push(tfObj[m].contents);
}
 Â
But since the text frames were extracted by create order, not by layout, I want to ajust the oder from top left to bottom right first, then export.
Â
I thought it could be done by selecting all the text frames first, then sorting the selection orders by loop. But I don't know how to select all the text frames, and not sure whether this is the right way...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm dimensioning an old drawing with the real (measured) dimensions and with the drawing dimensions in brackets (using ' 1500 (<>)' to give '1500 (1505)' for example.
What I'd like is to also be able to put on the difference between the length I type in and the length in brackets - as this would let me see any really glaring errors that can't be attributed to user-error on the laser measure.So I could type in '1500 Â (<>) (X)' where X is the formula, and get ' 1500 (1505) (5)' back?
How to be able to run a script that could highlight any dimensions where the number is brackets and the typed number have a a difference of, say, 50.Or failing that, any way to extract all the dimension text at the end into excel so I can see the differences myself?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to extract or export or convert a PDF to PSD with layers. So I'm thinking the answer may be no but I'll ask anyways. When I open the PDF in Photoshop CS5 I only see one layer. If the PDF was saved with Photoshop capabilities would I see multiple layers or is this something I need to turn on or convert it myself?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't extract the Photoshop CS5. Everytime I try I get :"A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder" .I've spent long hours on the phone with multiple agents trying to resolve this issue. I have WinZIP, my computer is Windows 7 Pro, etc... Still cannot get the issue resolved.
Â
As well, while on the phone with one of the Adobe Agents, I was informed to type in: "cmd.exe" in the start menu, then once the window opened I was then informed to type: "net user administrator /active:yes". This created a whole new Administrator account for me, when I already had an Administrator account saved under my name. So now I'm stuck with two and I cannot get rid of the Administrator account that the Adobe Agent made me create. I've tried many things in reference from google. Such as: Right Clicking Computer on the startup menu then clicking manage Local Users and Groups. I then clicked Groups and tried to delete the Administrator account, however it would not allow me. Then I tried to type in "cmd.exe" in the Start Menu, once the window opened I proceeded to type: "net user administrator /active:no", and yet again it did not work.
The old, (un)reliable Extract filter is not part of Photoshop CS4, and Adobe isn't planning on bringing it back! Instead, Extract will be replaced by sometyhing altogether more powerful in future releases of the software (working alongside Refine Edge so I hear).
Luckily for anybody who's a fan of the Extract feature, Adobe are planning to make it available, for the time being, completely free of charge on the Adobe website. Also, if you have previous versions of Photoshop, you can copy and paste it from an old version into the filters folder of the new version and things should work out perfectly!
So do we have any extract users here who'll be sad to see it go?
Where in the Adobe site can I find the download for ExtractPlus8BF?

I have had a look and it is not showing up in my "order history" .
Was on a yacht delivery from Miami to Panama Canal and my laptop got destroyed. I have my lecense key from when I purchased CS3, but need to redownload it.Â
where I can find the CS3 download?
I presently have CS3 and would like to try CS4 before purchasing. I have Vista-64, 12G Ram, i7 PC. After initiating the download, it just sits with a message saying "adobe download starting"...that's it...no dowmload.
