converting hexadecimal colors codes in Photoshop, I want to use the same color as something I found in the web.
Such as this: #335577 I would like to use this shade of blue in photoshop, how would I go about doing that?
Also, if I want to use the same shade of a color I found in the web, how would I go about finding out, and using the exact same color in Photoshop?
I have just switched to Photoshop from Fireworks, and so far I'm not happy. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to adjust the dang hexadecimal code inside of Photoshop CS4 for the desired color!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently installed CS5 on my laptop after first removing it from my previous machine.All licences were validated so no problems there.Now when using paint bucket in Photoshop, the colors that I select in the color picker are not the colors that result when I use the paint bucket.
If I create a new black canvas then the colors selected in color picker work with paint bucket.But if I attempt to recolor the background in an existing image that I import into Photoshop, I get the mismatch with colors when I use paint bucket. My method for selecting colors is the same in each case, I select 'set foreground color' and set the color using html values entry at the bottom of the panel.
Just wanted to print a new photo and realized that the colors in print preview do not match the colors in soft proofing. In both cases I selected the same icc profile and rendering method. The print colors matched the colors in print preview. I never had a problem so far. All new prints will be checked with soft proofing and adjusted when necessary. I never paid attention to the color rendition in print preview and all prints perfectly matched the colors from the soft proofing. I was surprised when my print came out of the printer and the colors weren't matching the soft proofing colors, but that of the print preview.
I don't understand why Photoshop renders the colors differently in the first place. See attached screenshot for the difference in the blue/cyan colors. I don't care if the print view colors will match the print, but I do care when soft proofing is not working.
The colors of pictures is much darker when working in photoshop than when I open it normally. And vice versa, I work on images inside photoshop, and I get the colors I want, but once I save it to bmp or jpg or anything else, all the colors are much lighter.
i'm using photoshop 7.
CDX5: Whatever color I select for fill or outline is now set as the default color for fills and outlines without expressly setting it as such. Until now when I left or right click a color with nothing selected it allowed me to set it as a default fill or outline color for graphics, artistic text, or paragraph text. It does not do that now.
Is this a "feature" that's been added that I somehow enabled? In any event, how do I turn it off?
We are working with a company that will be sending us DWG files. They do not use the same layer colors as us and I am trying to find a lisp that would allow me to set up a table with the layer names and the color I want them to be so that I can quickly change all the layers to our companys color standards.
Example:
Layer 1 = Color 1
Layer 2 = Color 15
Layer 3 = Color 10
Etc.
I don't know a lot about lisp but I figure if I could find a lisp that did this I could plug in my layer/color assignments and it would work.
Using CS6 on a MacBookPro Is there a way to find the closest matching Pantone spot colors to the cmyk colors I've created in Illustrator? I know it's easy in Photoshop using the color picker, but there must be a way to do this in Illustrator.

I have double checked that everything is ByLayer or ByColor that I can think of. If I insert this color chart into other drawings it looks fine. using C3D 2012.
I would just restart my drawing, however it is the new company template file that I have invested many hours into and would really like to be able to keep working with it and not start over. Or is there a good way to import and overwrite all the Prospector settings into a blank drawing?

I hav desigend a form in photoshop and saved it as a PDF. The trouble is it should be two pages. HOw can I get the form to save as two page PDF file. Rather than the one page it is defaulting to?

I cant figure out how to "save for web" so that my *.jpg will be stretched across the web browser when people view it. When I view my *.html after "save for web" it places the *.jpg in the top left corner of the page. I can use Dreamweaver to center my image, but it still looks out of place. To make these changes, do I need to change 20 different files? Or is there a way to link one layer group to multiple PSD files so that editing it once results in it changing on all 20 pages?
Everything I try to print from Photoshop to my Epson Stylus Pro 3880 just prints a blank page.
It sounds like it's printing, i.e. the printer head moves up and down across the paper, however no ink is depositied on to the page. Ink levels are fine.
I can print fine from other applications; it's only Photoshop that's causing a problem.
This is on a Mac running OS X 10.6.8, Photoshop 12.0 x64. I have tried upgrading the printer driver to the latest version: 9.04.
I have also tried totally removing the driver and reinstalling it, and have tried reinstalling Photoshop.
I have created 8 seperate files and i now need to link them together to make an 8pg pdf, how to do this?

Now for some reason this is not working. When I do these exact same steps it has a dark blue background and just doesn't work. I have an order for 10 personalized coloring books for party favors and I just can't get it to work. I have Photoshop CS3.

Well, I said yes, regardless of the previous project recall, I see it as an importunity that might get me some future projects and ofc experience. Anyway, I did some research and decided to make a Photoshop animation. Was my first time using Photoshop more or less, but I managed to make it look decent in about 3 days time.
However, I am missing an important effect that I was requested to implement. Which is:
A catalog/book that is flipping trough pages trough out all the add and the book/catalog needs to have specific pictures as the pages.
The background should be transparent because I would shrink the book/catalog to a smaller size to fit it top middle of the screen, and a, for example, green square background on my main composition background, which is pink, would look very bad. If both The book/catalog and main composition backgrounds would be solid white it would work.
I know there are ways to do it in 3d max, After Effects etc.
Is there a faster way to make the downloading of the graphics for the
webpages you create in 6? I am using the one where it slides down to the
left and a Photo comes to the screen and you use the left and right arrows
to navigate.
When I make a web page in Photoshop CS3, I can't figure out how to create it in HTML where the page is center justified rather than right justified.

Is this something that can be done in Photoshop then converted to a TIF file? Once I opened the TIF file, it allowed me to flip from one page to the next so the pages weren't all scanned side by side.

I have very little experience in terms of making files for webpages. I have an image, that contains display text and I need to know what the best format for webpages would be? as soon as I make a jpeg, the text turns blurry.
